What's really stood out to us as a family is how happy and comfortable she is. She's clearly so well cared for. It gives us huge peace of mind to know she's in such safe, capable, and genuinely kind hands.
And it's not just Mum who's looked after, every time we visit, we feel welcomed and cared for, too. The staff go above and beyond, and the warmth of The Grange shines through in everything they do.

Dianne is the Home Manager of The Grange and has spent her working career with Goring Care Homes. She joined us as a Care Assistant, spent a long stint as a chef, and subsequently as Assistant Manager, therefore has a very in-depth knowledge & understanding of how the entire home is run. She successfully managed our sister home Lyndhurst for several years before returning to The Grange in 2023.
"Hello, I’m Louise and worked at The Grange for over twenty years! I started way back in 2000 in the kitchen, and I’ve been one of the Assistant Managers since around 2006.
My job is to oversee the day-to-day shifts as well as the lead person responsible for medication at the home.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside Sarah before she became manager and it’s a pleasure to work alongside colleagues, family & friends.
I love my role supporting the team to deliver the very best care to our residents".
Jenny joined our sister home, Lyndhurst, temporarily in 2016, whilst the home where she was working was closed for refurbishment. She enjoyed the change so much, she stayed ever since. Jenny supports both The Grange & Lyndhurst in her team-leading role with the running of the Homes on a day-to-day basis.
Emma joined The Grange as Activities Co-Ordinator in 2023 and plans a varied weekly programme of activities both in & out of the home.
“Hi, I’m Puspa and I have worked at The Grange since 2013, initially as a Care Assistant. I’m from Nepal, and moved to the UK with my family. I have completed my NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and have worked in healthcare for over 10 years.
As a senior carer I’m responsible for inducting all new starters at the home and ensuring they meet the high level of family orientated care we aim to provide.
My week is varied at the home and ranges from caring, to care plan reviews and shift leading. I’ve just returned from Maternity leave, after having my first born, and look forward to getting back in to the swing of things”
Colin is the founder & retiring Managing Director of Goring Care Homes. GCH was started with the purchase of The Grange in 1986, followed by Lyndhurst in 2000. Colin's career was in social work at various local authorities over the years, running successful homes for Berkshire Council before embarking on his own venture.
Colin is still very much active with the day-to-day running of the home, but after 37 years at the helm, and at 84, he is semi-retiring in 2023 to spend more time with his wife Jackie, & finish off those Garden tasks that have been overdue for a few decades.
Aaron is one of our Co-Directors and part of the Northey family, who run Goring Care Homes.
Qualified in care, with a background in accounting & finance, Aaron works in a variety of different areas of the business and enjoys the fact that no two days are the same.
He loves chatting with residents, their families and our team members, listening to their life stories and anecdotes. He is also inspired when he sees our family company values in action and our care teams show the same tenderness and kindness supporting our residents, as they would do if they were caring for their own family members.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, travelling, concerts & making good use of his Netflix subscription!
Joy is one of our Co-Directors and part of the Northey family, who run Goring Care Homes.
Joy's background is a blend of administration and care, including a successful period within an administration department at a local NHS Hospital.
She can often be found in both our care homes, spending time with our residents, and learning from them and our teams about how the business can be further improved.
Having grown up with parents both in the Care industry, Joy understands that people come first and ensures the business values are people before profit.
In her spare time, Joy loves sports and motorbike racing. She's a keen aqua-aerobic attendee and enjoys Reading.
