Maralina and team have been very helpful from the start with information. They show they care by asking for back story, personal information and health issues. Staff always pleasant and helpful and from what I see they try to help residents engage in activities. Very happy with the service.

I visit Glebe House regularly and have done so since my mother became a resident in late 2022. I cannot praise the staff and management enough for the way they run the home and the care they provide for Mum and all the residents. I can just tell from Mum's responses that she is very happy with the care
she receives at Glebe House. Another aspect which is quite reassuring is that she is always clean and has a smart appearance when I arrive. I encourage her to participate in the many activities that the staff arrange daily and weekly. When I visit I am always made to feel welcome and every task is carried out professionally, safely and securely especially when moving my mother to a place of privacy. I am always kept informed if there is a concern or health issue that requires local attention or GP advice. I would thoroughly recommend the standards set by this care home.

Dad has been here for a few months now and has settled very well with the help of all the wonderfully caring staff, his room is always lovely cosy and warm. Dad being away from home was hard for us all to accept, especially as he is the centre of our world, but knowing he is at Glebe House being care
for so well makes it easier. The meals are lovely and dad has gained weight and looks really well. So a big thankyou from every one of us.

Our family cannot express enough how happy we are with this care home. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are absolutely incredible - they are not only highly professional but also kind, compassionate and genuinely dedicated to the
well-being of every resident.
It is clear that they treat each resident as an individual, with so much care and attention to their specific needs. They always go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable, valued and loved. The activities, meals and overall environment are all thoughtfully designed to create a positive and stimulating experience for the residents. The peace of mind this care home has brought to our family is truly priceless.

Clean, caring home. Residents are well cared for. Home-cooked food. The staff are very good and attentive. We are made to feel very welcome when we visit. Always offer us a hot or cold drink when with our family member. As a family, we are happy he is able to live here and is being cared for properly.

As a family, we can only give this fabulous home 5 stars plus another 5 stars. The care and support given to Mum and to us was absolutely amazing. They could not do enough for Mum and for us and cooked special meals to encourage her to eat.
Sadly mum passed away and all the staff could not do any
more for mum or for us. They went way, way beyond in their care and respected Mum and us during the difficult time. A huge thank you.

My experience of the care shown to my wife at Glebe House, where she has been a permanent resident since May 2021, is extremely positive. The staff combine excellent professional care, personal attention and respect for the individual's dignity, with equally good management. There is alertness to physical
health factors, including contact with the local GP if required. Regular arrangements are made for podiatry. There are organised social events and trips away from the care home. There is evident willingness to communicate with me and I am in email and telephone contact with the staff as necessary. My wife's room is comfortable. Very importantly, she seems fully content and at ease in the Glebe House environment. I report this on the basis of regular visits to my wife, when I am able to witness the care she receives and to have discussions with the staff concerning her personal welfare. During my visits, while in the public spaces, I have observed that the care shown to my wife is also shown to other residents.

There is a warm and homely feel to Glebe House. I feel my dad is well cared for by a team of people who go the extra mile. I am glad that my dad is living here. Many of the staff have worked there a long time, which tells its own story.

My mother was a resident of Glebe House for approximately seven years. She always received excellent care. We as a family were always made to feel welcome and any concerns we had were always addressed. Despite her passing, we still visit. I would recommend Glebe House to anyone.

My husband has been in Glebe House Nursing Home for over three years now. My experience in visiting and observing his care is good. We are always treated with care and the support given. Issues with his care are always discussed or I am informed before any actions are taken. I have found management
very respectful and professional in their role. The staff are loving and friendly and makes me feel that I do not have to worry about my husband as it is a home-from-home. Glebe House, from my observation, is due for a good upgrade in its appearance.

I feel strongly that this is a rare care home that actually lives up to its name of 'care home' by actually providing care! The staff are caring and attentive. They instil a feeling of trust, which I have sadly found in no other home. The care home can and should be proud of it's past and ongoing care
that it provides to the elderly in their hour of need. Well done!.

If you are searching for a care home for your loved one in the Staines area, look no further than Glebe House. The Manager and her team not only offer the very highest standards of professional care, cleanliness and great fresh food, the whole team genuinely care for each resident and address their
individual mental and emotional needs too. I relocated my mother to Glebe House from another much larger and grander care home in the area and am delighted I did so as the care and love she has experienced over the past four years has been outstanding.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.517)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.517) out of 10 for Glebe House Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.817 for Glebe House Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (68 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.817
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Glebe House Nursing Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
