Camowen is a well-established independent residential care home registered for twenty residents in the quiet and desirable area of Worthing. The home has twenty single rooms, nineteen with en-suite facilities and has recently been refurbished. It is set in lovely grounds creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility

The owner and management have many years’ experience of providing professional care to the elderly in a safe, friendly family atmosphere. Camowen provides professional, compassionate care to all residents who are always treated with individuality dignity and respect.

The home is driven by the needs, abilities and aspirations of residents and attention to detail is paramount. Care workers are vigilant to ensure that the facilities, policies, activities and services are always resident led and residents are allowed to live their lives the way they choose. Care services are delivered in accordance with agreed contracts of care and promote privacy, dignity, choice and independence.

Owners strongly believe the key to the delivery of a high standard of care is to have an experienced, well-trained and caring staffing team. Staff are known for their warmth, patience and respect for the needs of residents whilst providing holistic care. The service is further enhanced by the full support of local doctors and community nurses, providing a comprehensive range of care that meets all resident’s care needs and personal preferences.

There are several types of stay depending on the level of support required, residential care, respite care, convalescence and palliative care. The home accepts local authority and privately funded residents.

For residents to feel truly at home, they are able to bring their personal possessions and pets can be accommodated by arrangement.

My step dad moved into Camowen in February. Since then, he has made a 180 degree turn in so many aspects. His health, his happiness, his whole demeanour has improved sooo much. I can only give positive feedback on all aspects of this home. Warm, friendly, attentive, professional, supportive, caring
staff. A lovely home in so many different ways. I can not recommend this home enough. Thank you to the manager and all of the team for looking after our dad so well, night & day.

My husband came to live at Camowen care home, back in February 2025.
Since he has been in the service he has improved so much, in his mood, he's laughing more, eating and drinking really well, he loves the care staff and says everyone is a gem.
We now got out of the home on day trips, the care staff
are very attentive, as my husbands needs are quite complex.
I would definitely recommend Camowen, nothing is ever too much trouble

My Mother In law was a resident at Camowen since July 2022 until her recent demise. The greatest attribute of Camowen are the same staff who have been excellent and been caring for her throughout. It has been great for her and me to have such consistency and they really got to know her and therefore
meet her needs. The manager is excellent , always trying to think of ways to make things better for the residents. My Mother-in-law was always clean and tidy and well fed - she put on weight whilst there and said that sometimes there was too much to eat!! The home was always lovely and warm too! The team have been very communicative and kept me up to date with all aspects of her care. The care she received in her last weeks of life was excellent and every step was taken to make her as comfortable as possible. All the time she was there, I always knew she was safe and well cared for and which gave great peace of mind. Thank you to you all at Camowen.

My mother has been a resident at Camowen since January 2023, she says how kind and patient the staff are to her. Residents are treated as individuals with respect and dignity and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Mum absolutely loves the food and looks forward to meal times!

We were desperate to find my mother a care home. Camowen came through and we've been very happy with their services they provide. What is a stressful experience, became a friendly and welcoming procedure. I feel my mother gets wonderful attention, the staff are so helpful, offering a professional and

I find all the staff very helpful and friendly and provide good care for the residents. Dealing with dementia is a very difficult problem to deal with. I admire their patience in working with these residents and their understanding.

I would like to say how welcoming the staff are at Camowen, feels like home, and nothing is too much trouble. The garden is very well lawned, it's got a nice feel. I love how it feels homely. I have visited quite a few times now, and have always been offered refreshments, time and space. The home is

My Mother was a resident at Camowen Care Home from March 2022 into March 2024 (her death). At all times she was treated with respect and dignity by the staff. I fully believe that her life was extended by two years by the care she received there. I especially wish to commend 2 senior carers in particular

Mum has lived in the care home for a little under a year. Mum is 99 and suffers from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. The care she is receiving is excellent. All the staff are kind and caring and she has benefited from the gentle routine, the excellent meals and the friendly staff. It is great to

A lovely welcoming care home where my aunt resides. Staff are so friendly and l can see when there that they’re very caring to both my aunt and feel their warmth also when l visit.

I would just like to thank all the Camowen Care Home staff that have looked after my nan since she came out of hospital. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone. My nan has loved staying with them but due to circumstances, we are having to move her nearer to us. They are very accommodating
and their level of care is amazing. My nan will be sad to say goodbye.

Everyone is well looked after and is cared for in a kind and caring way here and we are treated individually and nothing seems to be too much trouble for all the kind staff employed here. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the home to all I come in contact with and thank them for all their
