My wife has just been in residence for a few days. I am very impressed with the care she is receiving and their ability to cope with her resistance due to her condition (advanced Alzheimer's). Their anticipation of what is going to be required is testament to good training there is a good atmosphere and everyone is very helpful. There is a feeling of care which was lacking in her previous care home.

I cannot speak highly enough of Claremont Lodge. In January 2025, Mum had a fall and broke her hip. After four weeks in hospital, her Parkinson's had progressed and her mobility was severely reduced. As a family, we had to accept that Dad could no longer safely care for her at home, so we began looking for alternatives. Everyone we spoke to who knew Claremont Lodge praised it - and now we understand why. Every member of staff has shown Mum exceptional care, compassion and respect. They are consistently understanding, empathetic and always protect her dignity. The office team, nurses, catering staff, cleaners, gardeners, activity coordinators and carers are warm and welcoming to Mum and to all of us when we visit. We've all heard horror stories about care homes, but our experience of Claremont Lodge has been entirely positive.

My wife has been a resident in Claremont Lodge since March 2025. From the morning she arrived the care and attention given has been five star or above. From Kim the manager through the nursing staff, the carers, the catering and ancillary staff, I can honestly say that everything has been faultless. I don't know how they recruit or select their staff but you really get the impression that everyone wants to do their very best for the residents. Clearly, I would prefer to have my wife well and at home but since that is not possible I would not wish her to be anywhere else but in Claremont Lodge.

I ought to say that, after a heart issue last year I spent a week at Claremont and observed the place from the inside, as it were. It was just the same for me so I have no hesitation in recommending Claremont Lodge. Before my wife entered the place and since then, I have had many comments from friends and members of the public and every one of these comments has been positive.

My parents were both cared for at Claremont Lodge. I have nothing but praise and thanks to the whole team who looked after them so well. My mother was there for a relatively short time before she died in 2019. My father who suffered from MS was a resident for 17 years. As his condition worsened over time the manager went to enormous lengths to make sure that he had the necessary equipment to help him to keep his independence, and latterly to ensure the best possible comfort when he was bedridden.

The carers were so good to him. Patient, understanding, humorous, and so diligent with his physical care. As a family we can't thank them enough for all they did right up to his death.

My brother spent six weeks at Claremont for palliative care. His room was peaceful and comfortable, and the care he received from every member of staff was exceptional. Their kindness and empathy extended not only to him but also to our whole family. We are deeply grateful for the compassion and support shown during such a difficult time

My grandmother moved into Claremont Lodge with just six weeks estimated to live, having had a number of very serious health issues and complications. She was in a very bad way and in honesty we were all prepared for her to be at Claremont for a very short period. However, every week she got better and better until she was back to her usual happy and healthy self and looking much better cared for than she even did at home. Her nails and hair were done weekly and she was really thriving. She adored all of the staff, and never made a single complaint in any way. This week, she very sadly passed away, very peacefully, in her sleep - and two years later than we expected her to. We honestly believe the brilliant care she received is the reason for this, and we are so grateful to everyone for their amazing support and care they gave her. I would highly recommend this home to anyone- I worried that she'd never be as happy as she was in her own home - but she really was. Thank you all x

Mum was at Claremont Lodge for four months. The staff were all amazing, caring, supportive and efficient. They made her last months bearable - Mum loved the food, and she smiled at everyone who came in. The room was lovely, and we were able to add some of Mum's things. I can't thank the staff enough for guiding us through this difficult time.

We needed Mum to have respite care and for professionals to assess her needs after a short stay in hospital. Claremont Lodge took Mum in at very short notice and she stayed for a month. During that time she had excellent care and the team at Claremont assessed her needs so that we could put support in place when she returned home. The team looked after her really well, the food was very good and the activities got her going again. We also left having a full understanding of what she now needs at home. We could not praise the team highly enough and we recommend them wholeheartedly.

My aunt says she is constantly grateful for the kindness and patience of the carers. A number of them have been at Claremont Lodge Care Home with Nursing for many years. She is in a ground floor room and enjoys easy access to the gardens and paved walks. The availability of nursing 24/7 gives reassurance to the elderly. My aunt greatly enjoys trips out in the home's own transport.

My father stayed at Claremont for the last few weeks of his life. The nursing home was amazing. The manager was so kind and friendly showing us around and talking us through how it all works. She did everything to make the move easy and straightforward. No hidden costs like in other homes. The building was immaculate, light and airy, with no clinical or horrible smell. My father said the food was delicious and the staff were really gentle and caring. I am so pleased he was at the home when he passed away. The staff were so supportive and caring. Thank you so much.

4 years ago we trawled through lengthy CQC reports on nursing homes for my aunt and many did not reflect what we found on visiting. Some were like hotels, others sterile, and some you would not put your worst enemy in. When we found Claremont our impression was it felt like a home. The rooms and communal areas have a nice feel about them, it was spotlessly clean and the staff were kind, considerate and very professional. Over the years we could not fault the care in any way. What the manager and her team delivered was nothing short of outstanding. Most of their staff are permanent and the use of agency workers is kept to a minimum, a bonus during Covid. My wife and I often remark on how lucky we were to have found this home. We don't live close by but each visit or phone call reassured us she was happy and very well cared for. The environment, communication and care are excellent and delivered with warmth and smiles. The team at Claremont Lodge are a credit to the nursing and care sector.

My mother was lucky enough to get a room in Claremont Lodge in May 2019. At all times during her stay every single member of staff went out of their way to ensure my mother's stay was as comfortable as they could possibly make it. My mother was not particularly social so didn't take advantage of the beautiful grounds surrounding Claremont or take part in any of the activities that were organised but I know there always seemed to be plenty going on.

I cannot rate Claremont Lodge highly enough my thanks go to all the staff at Claremont.

in October 2021, my mother although adamant that she would return home after 14 days respite was admitted to Claremont lodge. However, a mere seven days later she sheepishly asked to stay permanently for she was just loving it and I knew why, for Claremont Lodge residential home is to be envied set beautiful gardens, the main doors open to welcoming reassuring and friendly managerial team and a suite of relaxed comfortable and communal residents rooms. Upstairs my mother has her own restful

en-suite room with super views. Professional, kind, patient and fun-loving staff go out of their way to make my mother feel special. They not only give her the help and care she requires to meet her basic needs but somehow find the time to share news and memories and even do her nails. My mother tells me that her meals are out of this world and her much-needed weight gain bears testament to this. Each day she has a full programme of activities which she loves. She has made new friends, is settled and well cared for and I have peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and well looked after and for this I'm grateful. Claremont Lodge is ‘Simply the best’.

My mother was cared for at Claremont Lodge Care Home for six weeks at the end of her life when she needed full nursing care.
I am a registered nurse myself so was very nervous about this, however, from the moment the manager called me prior to Mum going into Claremont I never had a single concern and only praise for the care she received.
My mum had outstanding nursing care throughout her stay until she sadly died. The care was individualised, compassionate and very personal to her. The end of life care was amazing and the staff not only cared for my mother but also all of the family. Mum had a brief admission to hospital but asked to go home as soon as possible which was a testament to the care she was receiving.
Mum was initially reluctant to go for nursing care but in her final days said she wished she had done it earlier!

Mum loved the staff both the trained nurses and the carers as well as all other staff. She also thought the world of the manager and her deputy as did the family.
