All the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them; they were always very attentive.
Dad loved the staff at the home, who became like members of his family to him.
Communication from the home was also excellent; they always informed me of any changes that
needed to be made in Dad's care.
Dad had daily visits from his family, and we were always made very welcome. I would definitely recommend this care home.

The care home is so friendly and very caring the residents are so well looked after. They have social activities most days, outings regularly always a birthday cake for all residents.
The atmosphere is so nice when you go in the lounge, so much chatting and laughing.
The meals are super, our friend
enjoys everything and ha looked so much better since being there.

My Dad went into Larks Leas about a year after my Mother passed away, we had looked at a couple of care establishments for him, but we felt comfortable with Larks after a visit, he did have a choice of rooms and he chose a smaller one, mainly as it offered him a view of the garden.
The staff at the
home are friendly and informative, they would always contact me if Dad needed anything or they wanted to discuss anything. I felt happy that Dad was in good hands and wanted for nothing. Can't recommend Larks enough.

Yesterday, I was invited to a garden party with musical entertainment at Larks Leas. During the 'very warm' afternoon we were waited on by the very friendly staff with cold drinks. Then we enjoyed a delicious cream tea, after which we spent time chatting in the lovely shady garden. My cousin has been
a resident for several years and I know the saying is 'there's no place like home' but the change we've seen since she moved into care is 'incredble'.

Apsley House Care Home

My mother has been a resident at Apsley House for over 5 years now. While it was a struggle to adapt from lone living to community living, the change in her was amazing. She is well looked after, she is reminded to take her medication and is supported with lots of available activities to nurture her
personal living. You could not ask for better support for a parent than Apsley House. The staff are supportive and caring.

The manager at Larks Leas was excellent at explaining everything about life at the care home and the financial requirements. The staff are exceptionally friendly and on first name terms with the residents. They succeed in making the stay have a home from home feeling. Residents views are taken into
account and acted upon. We couldn't be happier that we found this home.

So pleased with the care that Mum has received since she came to The Old Vicarage for end-of-life care. The staff are all so friendly and respectful of Mum who has been independent until a fall seven months ago. Whilst she would have preferred to be at home, the home has provided the next best option
for her. Thank you.

When my father deteriorated rapidly and could no longer be cared for at home Apsley House Care Home came to our rescue. The staff admitted him with efficiency and the care they gave him throughout his short, end-of-life stay was second to none. Everyone who we had contact with was kind, caring and ensured
Dad's last days on earth were pain-free, comfortable, dignified and peaceful. We could not have done this without you, thank you all.
