Castle Farm Care Home

My mother came to Castle Farm Care Home in July 2025 after a diagnosis of dementia and alzheimers. She was immediately made to feel welcome within a friendly and caring environment. Staff are very kind and quick to meet my mum's needs and always have a positive approach. She enjoys the afternoon activities and occasional trips out. One of the main strengths of the care home is that there are only a few residents and the staff are consistent which helps mum to feel safe and avoids her getting unnecessarily confused.

Mum's care has been excellent. All the things that are important to her and us are provided with care, dignity and warmth. She often says she is living so long because she is being well looked after so well. The overall standard is excellent with special mention for the staff, food and the way she is treated.

Mum loves living here. The staff are all great. She enjoys the activities. I can't fault the care my mum is given, always excellent. Lovely room and food.

Castle Farm Care Home is a wonderful caring home with excellent staff. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention that they give to dad. I am so pleased that we found this care home.

Sadly, Mum reached the stage in her life where she needed round-the-clock care. We consider ourselves so fortunate that Castle Farm could accommodate her. As a retired nurse myself, I can truly say that this care home is truly outstanding.

I chose Castle Farm residential home for my Grandmother due to the homely feel, the activities on offer and having heard good reports on the care for the residents. My grandmother lived at Castle Farm for 5 years, and in that time she was looked after with great care and compassion; I never had any cause for concern or complaint. Sadly she passed away in December, but she was treated with kindness, dignity and respect right up until the end. The staff truly care and are amazing and that above everything else is what counts the most.

My mum was at Castle Farm Care Home for the last eighteen months of her life. The care that she received was excellent. The staff are all very caring and know everyone and their individual needs very well. Mum particularly enjoyed the food and the activities and the kitchen staff were always very accommodating with any special requests. We were always made to feel very welcome when visiting and were always on hand if we had any questions. We are so glad that we found Castle Farm when Mum needed to go into a care home and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone at Castle Farm.

My first reaction to Castle Farm Care Home, when looking for somewhere for our friend, was the feeling of welcome and calm as soon as we walked in. That feeling has not changed, it's there with the management team and the carers, all of whom look after the residents. Nothing is too much trouble and ways are found for those who are finding things difficult. It's miracles they work and our friend has improved beyond recognition. I can't be more delighted, we recommend it too highly.

I am always very impressed when visiting the residential home. Clean and welcoming.

This is an excellent home. My mum is so happy here. She has a beautiful room. Nothing is too much for any of the staff. There are lots of activities for the residents. They are taken out on day trips. The home is kept immaculate. My sister and I feel so lucky we found this home for Mum. We looked at a few and none of them compared to this one. The minute we arrived at this home for Mum to look at she said this is where I want to live. I cannot praise this home enough.

The home is marvellous, the staff are too, the food is very good, and the facilities are very good. I would recommend it to anyone.

Our mum received care and end-of-life care for two and a half years at Castle Farm Care Home. Throughout the Corona pandemic and beyond, she was kept safe and comfortable with a hundred smiles, hugs and kisses from the staff. Meanwhile, our mum was feisty to the end. Our deep gratitude goes to all for the kind and professional care she received until the very last moment. The consideration shown to her granddaughter and myself during the last 48 hours will never be forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to the manager and your team, be proud of what you do and have achieved.

My mother and father both lived in Castle Farm Care Home for the last few years. The care they received was exceptional and they were both extremely happy living there. The staff regularly went above and beyond normal duty to look after them and, whilst everyone was amazing, I would like to single out one member of staff for adding a particular level of kindness and consideration that I found deeply moving. Nobody likes to put their parents into a care home but when it becomes absolutely necessary it is a great comfort to be able to find somewhere like Castle Farm. I thank everybody there from the bottom of my heart for all they did for Mum and Dad.

Our mum was at Castle Farm Care Home for a few years and during her time there she was looked after brilliantly. The staff are caring, often doing extra things in their own time. I would regularly ask Mum if she was happy where she was and she would, without hesitation, always say yes she liked it there. The lovely, quiet patio area and garden, with the chairs and tables, enhance the feeling of a peaceful country residence: lovely to sit out when visiting Mum. We would fully recommend Castle Farm to anyone thinking of care home options.
