Sarah (Mum) has been a resident at Forest Hill now for over a year. Mum has taken time to adjust and has probably not been the easiest guest. Forest Hill Staff and management have been exceptional in looking after mums needs and continue to be so. A big thanks from all of Sarahs family.

The biggest asset this home has, is the amazing people that are the care and support staff, they make this home a friendly, caring and safe place for people to live.

I also found that Larks Leas has a straight-forward but flexible approach to contractual matters. I never felt that I was being contractually entwined. The on-site person responsible for the accounting was also very efficient.

I am extremely pleased with the way my mother of 92 is being looked after. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful to her. They have a friendly chat to her as well. My mother is difficult to deal with, but Forest Hill House have done excellently with her, and she has settled well. She wants to stay at the nursing home and likes cleaners, care staff, management and activities.

My husband seems happy and well cared for.

There are plenty of staff on duty and they are always very helpful and cheerful .

My mother came to Castle Farm Care Home in July 2025 after a diagnosis of dementia and alzheimers. She was immediately made to feel welcome within a friendly and caring environment. Staff are very kind and quick to meet my mum's needs and always have a positive approach. She enjoys the afternoon activities and occasional trips out. One of the main strengths of the care home is that there are only a few residents and the staff are consistent which helps mum to feel safe and avoids her getting unnecessarily confused.

Mum's care has been excellent. All the things that are important to her and us are provided with care, dignity and warmth. She often says she is living so long because she is being well looked after so well. The overall standard is excellent with special mention for the staff, food and the way she is treated.

Lovely, comfortable, warm + welcoming. Becky, manageress, couldn't have been more helpful + accommodating. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food was exceptional "A thoroughly enjoyable experience".

There is always a comprehensive programme of activities for residents.

My father in law was in the care of Larks Leas rest home for the last six years of his life. Throughout his stay there, he was cared for at all times with complete dignity and respect. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the management and care team went above and beyond at all times to make his stay with them as pleasurable as possible. If asked to sum up in a few words what Larks is truly like, I would have to say a real home from home with unconditional care and kindness from the whole of the team and a genuine want to please and look after the residents. In our experience we felt that the Larks team treated all the residents as individuals and were always thoughtful and considerate towards them. As well as the usual holidays and high days, milestone birthdays or celebrations were never overlooked without a wonderful social gathering or party taking place. My family and I would not hesitate in thoroughly recommending Larks Leas for your nearest and dearest. Such wonderful care xx

The management could not have been more helpful from the first phone call to enquire, then from hospital to their care, was stress free and very efficient, always with a smile and all the staff of every part of the care home had the same courtesy and respect. Add to that the food was excellent.

I cannot thank Becky and all the care staff at Lark Leas enough for their professionalism and care. My Aunt resided at Lark Leas for several years before she passed away in November 2025. The warm family atmosphere at Lark Leas gave our family much comfort knowing my Aunt was well cared for and happy. She enjoyed the activities laid on every day, particularly the singing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lark Leas and the care team for their kindness and care.

The meals are super, our friend enjoys everything and ha looked so much better since being there.

The staff at the home are friendly and informative, they would always contact me if Dad needed anything or they wanted to discuss anything. I felt happy that Dad was in good hands and wanted for nothing. Can't recommend Larks enough.

Yesterday, I was invited to a garden party with musical entertainment at Larks Leas. During the 'very warm' afternoon we were waited on by the very friendly staff with cold drinks. Then we enjoyed a delicious cream tea, after which we spent time chatting in the lovely shady garden. My cousin has been a resident for several years and I know the saying is 'there's no place like home' but the change we've seen since she moved into care is 'incredble'.
