My mum was here for a few weeks before she sadly passed away. The staff were all very kind and caring towards her during her time here, and excellent nursing care and support to family during her last few days made a difficult time easier for us all. Being able to stay in her room here, instead of a hospital ward, was a blessing.
My Dad is still living here and is being well cared for and helped to enjoy activities that he hadn't been able to do at home for some time.

This home has a happy, homely feel. Staff are cheerful, helpful, caring and kind and the people living here seem content, happy and well looked after.

The care that my mum recieved was amazing. She (and us) were treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The care mum had for all of her stay was exceptional - its clear that the staff really care about the residents. Excellent quality of care provided during all stages of mums stay, meeting all her care needs. All staff very attentive and caring and had a very positive relationship with mum who said that the staff were lovely and she was made very comfortable. I was very happy knowing mum was in good hands and clearly being cared for to a high standard. Quality of food was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Staff were also excellent with myself clearly explaining things and also very kind and supportive towards me.

We could not have asked for better care for Mum in her final months. She was treated with such kindness, care and compassion by the whole team.
We were always warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble.
Each and every one of the team were respectful and developed a genuine rapport with Mum and the family which helped us through such a difficult time.

We cannot thank them enough.

All of the team are so lovely and kind. Even when you're walking in the corridors, the staff greet you and had lovely things/stories to tell about my Grandad. There is such a lovely atmosphere there, and beautiful Xmas decorations to make the residents feel at home. They are such a supportive team, and really looked after my Grandad well. I am so grateful that he went to such a lovely care home with such amazing and caring staff members. You can tell that the staff members really care about all of the residents, and they are always trying to help in any way they can. It is so lovely that they have Xmas activities planned out for the residents in December too.

We are very happy with the care that Dad is receiving. The staff are very kind and respectful of Dad's needs. There is a friendly homely feel around the home as well and the staff are very welcoming. The food is fresh and tasty with good portion sizes. There are regular activities planned for the residents. The cleaning staff are very thorough and the whole home is always very clean.

After eight weeks in the hospital, our mum age 95 came to The Old Vicarage for end-of-life care, as a family, we were exhausted after four years of dementia caring, and on our first visit to The Old Vicarage were taken aback by the calm, caring atmosphere and wonderful, caring staff. My mother-in-law passed away after three peaceful weeks in a beautiful room overlooking the garden with the sun shining, a gentle breeze and the birds singing. God bless you all and thank you.

My mother was given end-of-life diagnosis in the hospital. We were recommended The Old Vicarage by a friend of my daughter. After an agonising couple of years worrying about what we might face in selecting a care home, we found The Old Vicarage. A place of sanctuary, love and care for my mum who was given a beautiful room overlooking the beautiful garden. She spent her last days surrounded by love and the best care we could wish for.

The Old Vicarage is a fantastic care home my mum was in their care for a short time and they treated her like family and respect and kindness. Her meals were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble whether it was for my mum or for our family, the support they gave us was remarkable.

They also made my mum smile with the entertainment and the way they would come and sit with her for chats and cuddles, thank you all, we will always think of you all as our family.

There aren't enough words to phrase all the staff at The Old Vicarage Care Home. Our mum was a resident there for just over 2 months, when she sadly passed away. Throughout her time there Mum was shown so much kindness, nothing was ever too much trouble. All staff were upbeat, keeping spirits high amongst residents. Always organising activities, giving residents things to look forward to and making things fun. Mum also had her hair and nails done, which she absolutely loved, along with the yummy food! We spent a lot of time there with Mum and found all staff to be so supportive, not just with Mum, but to all of us as a family. We highly recommend this wonderful care home, with the most hardworking, caring and kind staff. Thank you to you all for making Mum's time with you the best it could be.

My neighbour and friend is extremely well looked after here. She settled in well, the staff ethos is excellent - everyone seems to be very caring-natured people. It's a good, supportive, caring culture. The food always smells and looks delicious. Any health issues seem to be picked up and dealt with swiftly and effectively. I've sung the praise of this care home to many people!
