The Old Vicarage

My husband has settled in well. The staff are very good and willing. Lovely grounds for sunny walks.

Lovely care home. Well run. Happy and hard-working staff. Nice gardens for getting out into during Spring/Summer.

Mum has been a resident in The Old Vicarage for over 3 years. She has consistently received care of an excellent standard. Mum is always treated with kindness and friendliness. This is reassuring for my sister and I and gives us peace of mind. Communication between everyone is also effective. I am so glad that Mum is safe and so well cared for.

My dad went to The Old Vicarage for the last few weeks of his life and was treated with so much care and dignity, we spent a lot of time at the home and was treated like family it really was like being at home. The staff were all amazing and the care he recieved was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. He was in a home previously and there was no comparison. I can never thank all the staff at The Vicarage enough, they made a very stressful and difficult time so much easier. Thank you.

The Old Vicarage has been a huge part of my life, as well as my husband's, for the past 3 months and the impressions I've got will stay with me forever. I'll miss the people there and I will remember this time forever.

My mother has been living at The Old Vicarage since November 2023. What impressed us at the onset was the friendly, caring staff. We have not been disappointed, Mum is loved and cared for brilliantly by everyone there. From nurses, carers, cleaners and cooks. They know what she likes best to eat from roast potatoes to chocolate eclairs. Unfortunately she is blind and bedbound so not always the easiest to look after.

Very pleased with my husband's care. I come twice or three times a week, never seen him upset. He loves watching TV.

I visit my dad normally on a Sunday with my mum and find the standard of care to be very good and a laid-back atmosphere and not stressful for my dad. He always seems to be in a good condition and happy to see us both.

My father at end of life was fortunate enough to be placed at The Old Vicarage. What can I say about the home and the staff? Truly amazing. They treated my dad like their own family member and showed him so much love and respect. He was so happy to be there in his final weeks. They also treated us sons and daughter so well and made us feel so welcome. Honestly, all I can say is thank you for making my dad's time with you so comfortable and lots of love to you all from our family.

From enquiring to now, all staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We have been made to feel welcome and it feels very homely for Mum, who has settled in very well.

My relative's health and demeanour have improved so much since becoming a resident. The carers are kind and friendly and the food is very good.

Great to be welcomed by happy and enthusiastic staff and to find my relative being well looked after.

My friend has gone from strength to strength being so well cared for. Her sense of fun has returned and is very happy enjoying her time with everyone. Company, food, and activities - a wonderful place to be.

We could not be happier with the care provided at The Old Vicarage my mother was moved here a year ago after her previous home failed her badly. The staff here are amazing, caring, attentive, patient and we cannot praise them enough. I don’t know where we would be without them. Thank you.

On entering The Old Vicarage, we were very welcomed and explained everything to us.

After visiting many homes, we settled on this one. Set in a beautiful location and fine building, we were impressed from the start. On our first visit, we were warmly greeted by the deputy manager who showed us around, taking time to explain everything with such enthusiasm. The general atmosphere was one of peace and calm. Once my father moved in, we visited once a week and were always satisfied with the level of care given by all members of the staff. A very big positive was the regular updates given on my father's welfare plus always a person available to speak to.

All the staff at The Old Vicarage were all very helpful, very polite and professional in their job. Would highly recommend it.

He enjoyed the banter with the staff. He was comfortable, washed, shaved, had clean clothes, and daily care was good for him and everyone else.

My father-in-law has been looked after at The Old Vicarage since September 2022. The Old Vicarage staff and management have been great and very accommodating. They have always been on hand to help with any queries and have always kept in close contact with my father-in-law. I would highly recommend this care home.

The management and carers work tirelessly for the residents. I am pleased with the contentment my friend shows. At 91, she is obviously getting the care that is right for her.
