My Father stayed at St Georges Lodge for one month in November 2015 all was excellent so he then became a permanent resident from August 2016.
The staff are first class and nothing is too much trouble I know them all quite well now. The food is excellent and there is always a choice I joined my father for Christmas Day lunch last year which was lovely.
He has a ground floor en-suite room which is well furnished and kept very clean and tidy.
I visit my Father every Sunday afternoon and always enjoy the super homemade cake with a cup of tea.

St George's Care Home is well run and is one of the best in the area.

I am very impressed by the staff in St George's Lodge as they are always cheerful, caring and happy to answer any questions. I am made to feel very welcome whenever I visit my mother. One of the most important things for me is the continuity of staff as I know that makes my mother feel more comfortable.

I always find Mum clean, comfortable and well cared for when I visit. The staff are friendly and informative and speedy to contact me with any concerns. There is a calm and happy atmosphere in the home, with regular entertainment and occasional outings.

My dad had been unhappy in a number of other nursing homes costing way more than St George's Lodge.

We moved to St George's on a friend's recommendation.

All the staff and owners are extremely caring and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and homely and clean

The staff arrange outings and activities for the residents and proactively interact with me to let me know what's going on.

If there is a negative comment I find the plates the food are served on are bizarrely small or bowl like. Which means my dad tends to push the food off the plate or has difficulty cutting stuff. Volume and quality of food are good. But bigger flatter plates would be great.

Having seen several homes now I would have no qualms about recommending this lovely family run nursing home

Reply from Emma Wood, Director at St George's Lodge

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm really pleased you are finding your fathers stay at St Georges caring and accommodating. With regard to your father's dinner plate; we have now offered him a larger plate with all meals. I'm sorry this was a concern, but now we are aware we are happy to change...

My mum chose St George's Lodge from a recommendation of a friend. Homely, friendly, efficient, caring, an exceptional care home at a very fair price. The staff are a good team and enjoy their work very much, a family feel to the home.

Mum and myself often said how fortunate we were for mum to be a resident here.

If you are reading this you will already know that all is not well in the care home industry. You would have visited places that you think could not exist in a civilised society. This is the one to regain your faith in care homes. My mum stayed for two years until her dementia got to a stage only a specialist home could cope. People are happy here, food is good – so mum tells me, and the staff are caring and kind. Worthing’s best.

My mother arrived at the home in may for a two week trial and has happily stayed there since. She was made welcome by staff and residents and any requests for particular food or drink were immediately acted on. We have installed a TV and telephone in her room, so she has all the advantages of home, without the worry of cooking and cleaning. The meals are excellent and the staff are very attentive and caring. We have recommended this home to a friend who has also moved in.

My aunt moved into St Georges Lodge about six months ago. A drastic change for anyone to make in their lives, but I can relate that she seems happy with the cleanliness of the home, the staff and they will always try to accommodate any requests in food. I have been made to feel welcome as a visitor and always offered a welcome cup of tea. The staff have always been willing to discuss any queries concerning my aunt.

Came in for a week in may for respite, have moved in permanently in September. Lovely size room, excellent food, plus the care is first class. It takes time to settle after living on your own.

this is the best care home I have stayed in and I would recommend it to friends and family. The food is excellent and the home is great value for money. The staff would do anything for you and are very good. The doctors and nurses that visit are excellent.
