  • Visitors welcome to Sussex Grange and there is no need to book, however, it is often useful for the home to be aware of the time and day of a visit to enable them to help support those they care for. Quite often the residents like to ensure a visit does not impact any routine they have around meal times or communal activities they may be taking part in. The home will continue to follow government Covid-19 guidance in relation to visiting for the safety of residents, team members and visitors.

Parking

  • Please park in the car park if possible. If not, then visitors free to park anywhere safely along the road, however, the home does ask that visitors take care not to obstruct any of the neighbouring driveways.

So pleased with the care provided by the team. The manager was amazing, as were the other staff. Felt welcomed, and they always ensure the best care. Work swiftly to ensure she was comfortable. Was lovely, clean, hospitable, and overall, happy feeling inside when visiting my nan.

Thanks.

The management and staff at Sussex Grange are extremely kind and thoughtful. They were especially so in January 2021 when circumstances required additional support and above all a caring nature. Both my mother and myself were helped during a difficult time when the Manager and her team went far beyond the call of duty.

I have always found the staff are very person-centred in the way they relate to residents and always put the residents needs first. There is a nice homely feeling as you enter the building and residents seem very happy and well looked after.
The management team are always looking to improve the service and embrace new ways of working for the betterment of the staff and residents.

I would thoroughly recommend Sussex Grange to any person looking to offer their loved one's outstanding residential care.

Domiciliary care - for past two years has been good, carers are efficient, management good and on time. Good value.
At New Year mum, the service user, was very ill. The care service and associated home worked together brilliantly to avoid hospital admission.

At the first opportunity, mum went into the home. They looked after her in the best way possible. After a month, the difference is amazing. Mum will be staying at Sussex Grange as a permanent resident and is very happy with her care. Managers and owner are easily contactable, staff are kind and efficient and mum l.oves the quality of the food.

I have observed that the staff at Sussex Grange work together as a team to provide a kind and caring environment for the residents. The accommodation is beautifully clean, warm and cosy. The food is excellent and individual diets are enthusiastically catered for. On occasion when my parents were unwell staff were quick to contact the local GP practice and also access community services. Care is provided ensuring maximum dignity for the residents. Extended family are welcomed and well supported by the caring staff during difficult times.

All the girls are very helpful. They go out of their way to make my mother very comfortable, nothing is any trouble. When her friends visit they look after them with tea/coffee and cake. If Mum is not too well after my daily visits they call me if necessary. The manager is always very helpful and is thought a lot of by staff and residents. Also, she helps me when Mum requires new clothes.

Overall Experience
Mum was 93 and suffered from dementia when she came to live at Sussex Grange. She sadly passed away last month at the age of 95. In her two years there, she considered Sussex Grange as her home as it was warm and cosy with carers who really do care. The staff are wonderful and that ultimately is what makes a house a really happy home. She joined in most of the activities even with her dementia.

The food was excellent home cooked meals which always smelled lovely when you walked in. It was a really difficult decision to place Mum in a home but we have no regrets at all. All her children agree that even if we had won the lottery we wouldn't have moved Mum to anywhere else. She loved it there. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My mother recently went for a respite stay at Sussex Grange.
In nearly every respect, she rated the home as excellent. In particular, the staff were outstanding in their kindness and attitude towards her; nothing was ever too much to ask. As visitors to the home, we were very impressed by the warmth and hospitality shown to us by every member of staff, even those who were very new in post.
My mother’s room was very light and homely. She found the food satisfactory.

The only improvement she would suggest is more hot water for the bath!
