Overall Experience
My husband and I moved to North Norfolk recently and we had to find a suitable care home for my mother.
We viewed Kevlin House and immediately knew that this was the perfect home for her.
Shannon the manager showed us around and was very friendly and professional and answered all our concerns regarding the move.
All the staff are incredible and due to their care, compassion and professionalism, my Mum settled in very quickly and couldn't be happier.

We are so grateful to all the staff at Kevlin House, they do an amazing job and when we visit it feels like one big family. Thank you.

From the beginning of my brother-in-law's tenure at Kevlin, he has been treated well with both the care and attention to his condition as you would wish. The environment is both homely and comforting, with staff always available to help with their needs. Opportunities exist to visit a local garden centre for a cup of tea and cake, which gives them that feeling of togetherness. Very satisfying.

After lots of discussions regarding Dad's deteriorating health it was a decision Dad's safety was first priority and all his needs met Kevlin house was our first choice - we knew where we didn't want him to go. The CQC inspection gave outstanding and it was the case in Dad's time there. The staff were caring, empathetic and became like family. The manager was lovely, very approachable. Dad was her first resident as registered manager. Sadly we lost Dad in February but we've since been back and been welcomed. Dad is missed and was loved by everyone.

My relative has been a resident at Kevlin House for some years now - about a decade. He has always been treated well, with care, respect and humour.

His entire family are delighted with his care and relieved and happy that we can be confident he is well looked after.

Our Mum has now been a resident for 8 months. As most people would be, we had no idea of the process for a family member to find a care home placement but right from my initial enquiry, we received friendly, helpful guidance.
All staff without exception are totally professional & dedicated to care & comfort of the residents. Their understanding of individual needs is outstanding. For family, communicating with any member of staff is just like chatting to a friend or relative & any questions dealt with with the minimum of trouble.
The food, entertainment & activities are great and the whole place has a friendly, homely feel.

Well done & 100% to everybody at Kevlin House.

My mum was a resident in Kevlin House for the past 4 and a half years and I have always been extremely impressed and happy with the level of care she received from a great team of carers.
Not only did they provide a cheerful, warm atmosphere, they also arranged entertainment on a regular basis.
Sadly, last week, my mum passed peacefully away, tucked up in her bed at Kevlin House.
She was given so much TLC from the staff to ensure her final days and hours were as comfortable and pain-free as possible.

For this, my family and I will be eternally grateful.

The care and attention to mum has been amazing. Mum moved here at the beginning of November from another care home and the transformation has been wonderful. Mum has Alzheimer's and the understanding of her condition is top notch!

Overall Experience

My sister was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015, and after a fall at her home in London stayed with us for several months before moving into Kevlin House 9 months ago. The staff, and the owner/manager in particular, have been amazing throughout, helping us to get her room as homely as possible, and taking careful note of her food preferences (she’s a veggie) so she has settled in very well. The staff are always friendly, kind and keen to help and I can’t imagine her being anywhere else now. We just got back from a local trip on a steam train, with a lovely pub lunch, a well organised trip (and not the first) which everyone enjoyed. This is such a difficult time for my sister as she realises her health is declining, but the staff handle her with great skill and sensitivity, it's a joy to watch! Finally, the location is close to a British Rail station and there’s a strong mobile signal so her family can keep in good direct contact. Thank you Kevlin House for looking after my sister so well.

My son, who is 63, is mildly schizophrenic and disabled and has been at this care home for two years. During this time he has enjoyed not only the proper care and attention he needed but also the patience and affection of everyone on the staff.

He can be quite awkward at times but they continue to handle every situation in a manner which invokes my constant admiration and thankfulness. He enjoys all the activities they promote. Far more than I was able to provide.

I am very pleased with the care my mother receives. The staff are very caring and do all they can to make her stay there enjoyable. I would be nice if there could be more activities for those who cannot go out to day care centres and a bit more activity with the residents who are more able than others.

We have just left Kevlin House after a social evening these socials are invaluable. They help to store up good memories of our relatives as well as provide excellent entertainment for them. It is all too easy to see the illness instead of the person in theses situations but Kevlin House help in all aspects of this. The house and staff are excellent and we feel very lucky that mum was able to find a place there. The transformation since the new owners took place is amazing and the staff are so kind and caring, well done to you all.
