The Salisbury Residential Care Home is ideally situated on the seafront in Great Yarmouth, opposite waterways.

It offers single and shared accommodation, some with en-suites.

There are specially designed bathrooms to enable all residents to have a bath or shower as they wish.

The care home is for people who require residential care and for those with dementia. All of the staff are trained to a high standard to meet residents' needs and requirements.

Every resident has a person-centred care plan to ensure, it provides the highest quality of care specifically for them whilst taking into account their individual needs, hobbies and interests.

There is a designated activities person who organises daily activities and outings to promote the residents well being.

Its main purpose is to provide a high level of care in a person-centred way, while promoting residents' dignity and independence at all times.

In April 2024 the Salisbury care home won an award for most compassionate assisted living care home in Norfolk at the Social Care Awards.

The Salisbury continues to offer my mum an excellent standard of care. The management and staff have been fabulous throughout the past year ensuring we are still able to communicate easily with our loved ones in these difficult times.
We are informed immediately if there are concerns about Mum, and
these are addressed by the staff/management straight away; I am confident that she is safe and secure in their care. The level of cleanliness is outstanding, and it shows by how well the whole team has worked through the pandemic, keeping it totally COVID free - which is absolutely amazing, and I know the team have made sacrifices within their own families, which I cannot thank them enough for.
I love the Facebook page showing photos/videos of the well thought out and creative activities the residents are kept busy and stimulated by taking part in and also celebrating life events.
The management is always visible, and it is great to see them openly praise and reward their brilliant staff.

The Salisbury team are the most amazing people and have worked wonders for my Mum in giving her a far better quality of life than she was able to have at home. Their care and support have given her a new lease of life.
Recently, they went over and beyond when my Dad passed away to help her understand
what had happened and be involved in their own mini-wake on the day of the funeral with lots of photos, the order of service, the music they both enjoyed and special cakes to mark his passing. We couldn't have asked for more.

My mum has Alzheimer's and went into The Salisbury in February 2020. It was a heartbreaking decision for the whole family. But, it's actually been the best decision! She's safe, get's all the correct meds at the correct time in the correct dosage, she's eating better, she's stimulated with all the activities
such as arts and crafts, musical entertainment etc. She's now settled and happy. The staff, led by the amazing manager, are all brilliant, caring, professional people. Recently we sadly lost our dad. The manager and her team made a banner, stood outside as the hearse drove by for mum to say her goodbyes. They printed photos of dad and mum from their early days, played their favourite songs and held a wake for her. My sister and I were amazed at all the trouble they went to and so grateful.
On top of all that, the home is one of the few to have remained completely covid free, residents and staff, all year! That's an amazing accomplishment! They should be commended.

Over the past weeks, since my dear Dad was admitted to the Salisbury, I have been continuously amazed by his progress. I have not seen him look so well and happy for many years. Through Facetime and photos, I am seeing my dad having a life again, interacting with residents and staff, enjoying activities.
He now recognises me and with the wonderful encouragement of carers, we are able to have conversations and share lovely memories again. At home, he had become uncommunicative and closed down which was heartbreaking. I know he is now loved and properly cared for and enjoying life again. I have lost my stress and regained my life too. My thanks to the staff of this lovely home, my dad's new home, where he also has memories of 30 years ago, when a dear friend was a resident here.

Cleanliness is outstanding, very homely, food excellent with choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities going on, residents happy, security very good. Staff caring and respect residents privacy. All residents are encouraged to take part in all celebrations regardless of what it is.

Before my mother's death in September she had been a resident at The Salisbury for about 10 years. During all this time she had been made to feel that The Salisbury was her home, I believe that this says everything.
Staff were excellent throughout this time, and I couldn't praise them high enough.

I would like to send a huge and heartfelt thank you to all the staff who looked after my father in the last few weeks of his life. You all cared for my beloved dad with respect, compassion and dignity and he would have thanked you himself if he could have. As a family, we were greatly moved to see staff
outside as the cortege passed by. Thank you for your support on such a difficult day. My dad was a wonderful man and dementia is a terrible thing to observe in a loved one. He is now at peace and no more suffering. He will live in our hearts forever. I was unable to thank you all personally, so I hope this message will go some way to sending our very grateful appreciation. Kindest regards and thanks to you all from the Welsh side of the family.

During the year my mother has been here, I have on several occasions had cause to ask for personal hygiene issues to be addressed due to obvious lack of bathing/washing of my mother.
This has led to my asking for a review of her care by local Social Services. Obviously, immediate staff training is
required to overcome a repeat of this issue.
The owners do not replace residents equipment provided by family to assist residents mobility after damage to said equipment used as 'pool' equipment by staff without family authority.

My husband is a resident at The Salisbury. I couldn't ask for or get better care. The staff all love him and care for him. They laugh and joke with him and make him feel good. The Manager is always willing to talk to you if you need help about anything. What a lovely lady. I wanted him to go in The

I visit the home on a regular basis to see my mum. It is always clean, doesn't smell. The staff always know about my mum like if she has eaten. The food looks excellent. They talk to her with dignity and respect. I have visited at different times and different days and always found my mum well looked
after. I have always found the staff, polite and professional - I have no concerns.

My husband has been in The Salisbury for a while now, it is always very clean and has a happy, friendly atmosphere. The management and staff are very caring not only to the residents but to their relatives as well. I am glad we chose The Salisbury. Thank you, everyone.

My mother is now in her twelfth year of dementia. She no longer speaks, walks or is able to care for herself in any way but the amazing staff at The Salisbury continues to treat her with the utmost respect and kindness involving her in every aspect of her daily life. They never talk over her and choices
are always offered. She is included in all the home's activities and my family and I could not wish for better care.

When we walked into the home we could feel that it was a very good atmosphere.
After speaking to the doctor, I had a look around, I was very happy with what I saw. It was very clean and tidy and I could also see that the residents were very happy, the staff were very nice also.

On my mum going into Salisbury, as her home was closed down, the care that Mum received was second to none. All the staff and management were excellent. Sadly Mum lasted only ten days.
The care I got after Mum's passing was excellent.
I would recommend highly for people to go to Salisbury.

My mum moved to The Salisbury 6 months ago after a very difficult time in her own home. Having visited other homes this one is exceptional! The home is clean bright and has a happy atmosphere. The staff are wonderfully caring and make all of us visitors very welcome.
Music days are a must if you want
to see the place come alive! There is definitely a family feeling here and always someone to talk to which is so important to someone like my mum. She is in the advanced state of dementia and is safe and very well looked after. I can't thank all of the staff enough for everything they do and we are so lucky our mum is in The Salisbury.

I took my husband into The Salisbury for respite. On walking in I noticed how lovely and fresh it smelled. I was accompanied right around the Salisbury by the manager.The place is spotless and very clean. I was very impressed. All the staff were so nice, everyone we passed spoke and smiled. I saw first
hand how they treated the residents.Excellent, kind and caring. My husband said his food was very good. I was there on the music afternoon.All the residents got involved, it was lovely to see them enjoying it, with the staff interacting. Good fun activities. So to the owner of this care home, you are doing a great job. Couldn't fault it at all. Next time my husband has to go into care, for respite, I will choose The Salisbury. And well done to your lovely manager and all the hardworking staff.
