Winash is a family-run care home, built on true family values such as trust, care, and respect.
The Wood family purchased Winash in 1973. They lived and worked there, providing on-site care whenever residents needed it, 24 hours a day.
Fifty years later, Winash is now managed by the second generation of the family to oversee and own the business. Over the years, the team has fostered strong relationships within the community....

Winash Residential Home has a Review Score of 8.9 (8.931) out of 10, based on 5 reviews in the last 2 years.

My friend has had very good care since she came into the home. There are lots of activities which she enjoys and this gives a light heartedness to living here, as by the very nature friends become unwell and pass on. She enjoys the food although naturally each person has their likes and dislikes. It is very light and the outdoor space is delightful.
My aunt, for whom I have power of attorney, has been in Winash for 10 years. She has been very well looked after by friendly, courteous and helpful staff. The food, which is home-made, is good and varied. The medical care and supervision are excellent and the fees reasonable.
Thank you for taking the time to leave review. We are so happy that you are having had a great experience with us.
In my experience, Winash is a very good place to be. There is a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The staff are caring, helpful and approachable. Residents are treated with care and respect. There are varied activities organised most days for those who wish to join in. Also there are some trips out when possible. Visits by young children from the nursery next door and older children from local schools visit and interact with residents, which they all seem to enjoy. There is a hairdresser that visits weekly. The food is very good and cooked on the premises. My mother and our family are very happy with the care she receives and the extra care the staff have shown after her recent fall. Nothing was too much trouble so thank you everyone.
Many thanks for your review. We are so happy to hear that your mum is very happy with our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Found by my niece based on reviews and has certainly lived up to expectations particularly the most important aspect of a care home, the staff have been excellent, both my mother and I have found them to be very good. My mother sings their praises every time I visit. The only minor observations are as it is not a very large building (a good thing) making parking difficult. No room for a car park. The building looks very well maintained, and very clean, though dark wardrobes and carpet (for practical reasons I guess) can make it seem dark inside in some rooms particularly during the gloomy weather we have been having.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We are delighted to have your mum here at Winash. Thank you for your valued feedback and we will bear your comments in mind for the future.
My mother and father-in-law stayed at Winash for 2 weeks' respite and they loved it. They were so well cared for and the staff were all lovely. My mother-in-law particularly liked the activities in the afternoon. They're looking forward to coming for their next visit. soon.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that your family enjoyed their stay with us. We hope to see them again soon.
