I do not have enough words to say how amazing this Carehome is, they have treated my mum with care and understanding. The staff is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for me and my family. The Manager is outstanding at her job and always keeps me updated on anything that is happening with my mum. This care home is the best and their residents are treated with the utmost care and dignity. The Manager and her staff should all be rewarded for their outstanding work.

While my mom was there her every wish and need was catered for, nothing was too much trouble no matter what time of the day or night, she absolutely loved it. I can never thank them enough for the genuine love, care and respect they showed for my mom and all of my family in the last few days of her life.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team and the catering manager who works so hard to ensure all meals are freshly prepared and there are always homemade cakes on offer. Mom will be greatly missed and always in our hearts, God bless.
Food was varied and very good, and communal events with other residents were much appreciated. Cleanliness was of the highest standard. Our mother was very contented.

This is a lovely small care home. My mother has been here for over 6 months now. It is very well run, spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and compassionate. Meals are excellent with a wide choice on the menu. I can’t fault it.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team and the catering manager who works so hard to ensure all meals are freshly prepared and there are always home-baked cakes to offer. Also, our fantastic housekeeper keeps our lovely home immaculately clean. Thank you.
From entering the front door you are greeted by a homely atmosphere and a warm smile by staff members. All staff are exceptional from the maintenance man, kitchen staff, carers, and Management. All have time not only for the residents but the visitors too. They genuinely have the right attitude and work as a family, supporting each other. You feel it no matter what time of day you visit.
Dad is happy, and content and is given respect and dignity. They get to know the residents and work with them to cater to their needs.
The chefs in the kitchen produce varied cooked/cold food, which smells delicious and is tailored to meet the resident's requests.
Entertainment is provided and residents are encouraged to join in. Christmas is especially fun with lots of effort made by the carers.
I highly recommend this care home for your loved ones.

From the time getting Mum into the home to now has been lovely! The girls are very friendly and helpful, and it's such a lovely little home. Recommend to anyone. I have no complaints at all. The manager is lovely and again very helpful.

Crantock Lodge worked really well for Nan. It is a quiet, relaxed and homely place where great care and compassion is shown by the carers. There are opportunities to socialise throughout or to stay in your own company with each resident's wishes always being respected.
Nan especially loved the high quality of the home-style cooking here and the carers' overall approach and attitude. She was treated with dignity, respect and warmth.
As a family we all felt welcome whenever we visited.
Nan stayed here for three years and as she declined and became bed bound the carers were excellent at keeping her safe and avoiding bed sores.
The team supported her and my parents through her passing in a very compassionate way.
A big thank you from all our family for the team’s care and kindness.

My mum was a very happy and contented resident at Crantock Lodge until she passed away this month. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the genuine love and care my mum received throughout her stay at Crantock Lodge. The standard is very high in everything the staff do. I would highly recommend this home.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. I will ensure I pass on your feedback to the staff team in recognition of their hard work. Thank you so much. Your Mother will be sadly missed by all here at Crantock Lodge.
After viewing other local care homes we found Crantock Lodge and what a find! This small and cosy establishment is genuinely a "home from home". Extremely warm and friendly team leaves you feeling at ease that all residents will be given the best of care at all times. Clean and tidy great food/dining room facilities and even given a glass of sherry! Definitely 5 star!
Crantock has been Mum's care home for four years. It was chosen for its unique style of a small home from home, family atmosphere with always a warm greeting from staff and a welcome beverage. The standard of care is very high and attentiveness to dignity is always shown. Every need is catered for, however small. There is wonderful home cooked fresh food with a varied daily menu and daily home baked cakes or pastries (yum). As a family, we are included in the care planning and the home's activities and events. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this home for its small uniqueness and high standard of care.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team and the catering manager who works so hard to ensure all meals are freshly prepared and there is always home baked cakes on offer (unfortunately for all of us that are on diets!). I am also really pleased to hear our small, home from home "uniqueness" is recommended. Thank you so much.
Crantock's staff excel at providing both physical and emotional care and this enabled my mum to relax and have fun in her last years.
They treated mum entirely as an individual in every aspect of care and were also very supportive of the family.
If you are considering Crantock Lodge for yourself or a member of your family - say "yes"!
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we did have so much fun with your mum and we all miss her so much. We strive to ensure the home is fun, full of laughter and everyone feels relaxed and happy, so to hear this means so much. I will pass on your lovely words to the staff team who as you say "excel" in their care. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review.
I have found this residential care home to be excellent. My wife is receiving excellent care and the staff cannot do enough to help us in any way they can.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. I will ensure I pass on your feedback to the staff team in recognition of their hard work . Thank you so much.
We were lucky to find Crantock Lodge, the ideal home for her, where she settled down to live until she died aged 100 years. Our family have been so grateful for all the loving care and compassion she received from dedicated carers.
She was treated with dignity at all times, always neat, tidy and clean.
Clothes and bedding were frequently washed and her room was always neat and tidy.
The carers also looked after us whenever we visited and kept us informed of her welfare.
Sadly the last 6 months of her life saw her totally bedbound.
The carers nursed her with loving care and dedication.
During this time she never had a bedsore or marks of any kind on her body.
Her passing was very peaceful, a carer and I watched her slip gently away.
The staff were so kind, helping us through a very sad time.
Our family will never forget their kindness to us and our mother.

Nothing was too much trouble.
The support that both my mother and I received at a difficult time was above and beyond expectations and I cannot thank the staff enough.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely and positive review. The staff team goes above and beyond for the people living here and it means so much to hear how pleased you were with the love and care we gave your mum, who is so deeply missed. Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely feedback.
My mum has been here since May 2016 and I am so grateful to all the girls there in how they look after her and I never have to worry about her at all. Her room is decorated to her tastes and she has her own furniture/curtains.
There is always a warm welcome for me (and my dog!) no matter how early I arrive in the morning. The home is immaculate, light and bright, well-maintained gardens and there are often lovely smells of home baking wafting out from the kitchen. It's like staying in a lovely seaside guest house.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and kind words. We strive to ensure everyone living at Crantock Lodge feels at home and enjoys living here. To receive such lovely feedback about the staff, atmosphere, décor and the home made cakes means so much. I will ensure the staff team are given this feedback. Thank you.
I cannot rate Crantock Lodge too highly. My mother lived there for six years. During this time she went from active 94 year old to bed ridden 100 year old. Throughout the staff showed her the utmost respect, warmth, care, and consideration and responded to her needs as they changed. They were able to assess the needs and personalities of their residents and respond to them as individuals each requiring different levels of stimulation, affection, and activity. Food was excellent with choices at every meal and individual preferences catered for. In addition, we as a family felt cared for.
Thank you again for your feedback and rating.
Nice small friendly 'home' clean and tidy. Extra effort made to give the residents what ever they need to make them feel 'at home'.
Food is freshly prepared with choices to suit all tastes. Staff go out of their way to meet any special requests. Residents are helped and encouraged to participate in a range of activities and are regularly asked for feedback or suggestions. Family and visitors are welcome at any time and tea and cake are always on offer!
When my mother became more frail she was treated with love, care and dignity and I was kept informed of her professional care needs. When she died our family were supported by this great team.
My daughter has settled very well here and enjoys the regular companionship of both residents and carers, who are both kind and considerate.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. I am so pleased to see an “excellent” rating for the staff team here. At Crantock Lodge, we pride ourselves on our caring and professional staff team. I will ensure that the team are given this lovely feedback in recognition of their hard work. Thank you.Tina Purcell Manager.
