The Homestead

My friend is very happy there, very complementary of all aspects of the home.

As soon as you walk through the door, you know you're in a very happy home. The staff are so good with the residents and are always happy and willing to help relatives. My dad is very happy here. He likes the singalongs and sitting in the garden. The food is five star and I like the fact I can visit anytime.

The best thing is Gran is well looked after and cared for, meaning we don’t have to worry.

My Grandad absolutely loves this care home. He is very happy with all aspects and very well looked after by all of the staff. He always compliments the staff and food.

I would happily recommend this home to anyone. We are all very happy with it and say it is like home from home.

I was made to feel welcome and looked forward to my visits, the staff were always friendly and looked after me as well.

I am very happy at The Homestead and cannot find fault with anything. It is like living in a hotel.

My mother stayed at the Homestead for just over a fortnight's respite care. The home was pleasant, thoughtfully laid out with two sitting rooms and a spacious dining area. My mother was allocated a light, bright ground floor room overlooking the garden, with an en suite wet room. The staff were friendly and cheerful. My mother was given the rest and care she needed and was able to return home. She expressed regret about missing the lovely cooked breakfasts she had enjoyed there.

I was very upset at my husband going into a home with dementia, but the care he is getting is more than I could wish for, he is very happy there, which was the main thing. For me, the staff and manager are very kind and look after him well. I could not ask for more and they are kind to me too.

My mother lived on her own for years getting more and more depressed and seeing no-one other than the gardener once a week. Since she moved to The Homestead she has perked up a lot and I consider the staff are the key to this place have a homely feel. All considered I would recommend it 100%.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. My father and step-mother are extremely happy here. They are always laughing and smiling.

Both parents are very happy with all arrangement, staff and care the home provides. We are very content with all the home provides and consider it is by far the best we could have found.

My father spent over 6 years at The Homestead. During this time, he received excellent care and attention and nothing was too much trouble. The staff treated him with great dignity and affection and he was very happy there. His room was first rate and he loved the views from the window. There were also plenty of activities to help occupy him and he was able to go for walks as Elwyn Road is quiet and flat. All in all, a very fine care home that is highly recommended.

Having looked at 20+ online establishments this was one of only 5 we eventually looked at. Having a very creditable CQC score. Our first visit and impressions were excellent. The staff being cheerful, helpful, compassionate and informative. The residents being treated with dignity and respect. Whilst not the nearest establishment to us, this was the place that my wife and I felt would give my mother her last few months/years in a place she could still call home.

The staff are very caring and "second to none" and this is fully endorsed by my mother who is a resident.
