My father comes to St Denis so I and my husband can have time without Dad for the holidays and on social events. He is very well looked after and enjoys his stays.

I have previously said when asked my opinion recently "If the country was run as efficiently as St Denis Lodge we would not need to consider a general election."
I think St Denis is a first-class example of how a care home should be run.
Outstanding first-class staff (The most important) Nothing is too much trouble.
A most attractive establishment. Super house; lovely garden.
Efficient cooks/chefs delivering lovely food. Breakfast and supper trays. Tasty lunches.

If you have to go to a care home, St Denis is where to go.

I am very well looked after. My laundry is done for me. On the whole, the food is very good. Staff are always willing to help if I need. There are a number of games and activities for me to join in with.

My aunt has resided in St Denis Lodge for over 7 years. During that time she has been treated with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion, even when she became "difficult" with dementia.
Although now bedridden and often asleep, she is always kept very clean and included in activities when awake.
Staff are always on hand when needed.
Special occasions are celebrated with families invited eg birthdays, Royal Wedding, Christmas, Easter etc and I note that the other residents seem happy and contented.
I have never had cause to worry about her care or safety.

I cannot comment on the other rooms apart from the communal areas which are always well kept and welcoming.

My Mother moved to St Denis 10 days ago from the local hospital to aid her next stage of recovery - she has progressed faster here, particularly down to the staff who are extremely helpful, attentive and very conscientious.

Superb all round.

We knew this was the home for my mother as soon as we stepped through the door. The owner made us feel at home straight away and all the staff are so friendly and so helpful. My mother loves it and they love her, so that makes everybody happy and we know that she is safe in their hands.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for the professional and kind care they offer.
The care extended to a dear, elderly friend for the last 18 months exceeded expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend St Denis Lodge to others.

Thank you.

Overall Experience

St Denis Lodge was clearly the best choice for my mother from the initial research I had done but has surpassed all my expectations since she moved in. The staff are unfailingly kind, caring & responsive to my mother's needs. She is treated with respect, dignity, smiles & love, as are all the residents. The accommodation is excellent, spacious & comfortable in rooms & public areas. The food is of very good quality, interesting, varied & adjusted to needs. There are many daily activities provided by specialist staff adding to a wonderful sense of community (& fun!). There are also frequent exercise classes & entertainers from outside providers; such an important part of maintaining the health & well being of residents. The management are friendly & helpful.

In summary: although my mother is understandably becoming more frail and forgetful, in many ways she is much healthier, physically and mentally, and certainly happier than she was in her own home. Thank you St Denis.

I have been visiting my mother for almost 2 years. On arrival, I am always greeted with a friendly face and offered refreshments. My mother's wellbeing has improved 100% since being there. She is very well cared for and her eating has improved. Her bedroom is large and kept very tidy. Having eaten there on a few occasions the food is of a high standard. All staff are very dedicated and nothing seems too much trouble for them.

I have been visiting my mother at St Denis Lodge for 11 months, and throughout that time I have always been impressed. The staff are always cheerful and helpful, they have a real rapport and interaction with the residents. My mother has been well looked with the right level of mental stimulation and physical exercise, and her general wellbeing has notably improved during her time at St Denis.

The management team are hands-on, involved with activities and daily routine, and know all their residents. They have been supportive and helpful to the whole family and we are confident that St Denis provides the right level of care and attention. We are pleased that we chose this care home, it has met all our expectations.
