Everyone is very pleasant. Food seems reasonable. Could do better if a relatives visiting room was made available rather than either using residnets lounge or dining room

Staff are caring and seem endlessly patient with the clients. More interactive activities would be good for clients. Often music on which can be good but can also make it difficult for residents to engage properly.

My father-in-law has resided in Woodlands Gate Care home for a year now. The care and support he has received has been excellent. He has always been treated with dignity and respect. The staff are excellent, caring and attentive. Debbie, the manager started on the day John moved in. She has proved an excellent manager, who is never too busy to help and respond to queries. His room is very cosy, overlooking the garden which he loves and includes a washroom. Facilities are good, always clean and tidy. My father-in-law has told me how much he has enjoyed the food, though he is now on a specialised diet. There is a dedicated staff member who is in charge of activities and events are organised for special occasions. The home is safe and secure the staff, oversee entry. Compared with many homes the cost of his accommodation is reasonable. We are so pleased he has been cared for so well and is so happy there. Many thanks to Debbie and her staff.

Mum has been a resident at Woodlands Gate for almost four years now and I must say that it has always had a lovely family atmosphere to it, which still remains to this day. Her health had generally been quite steady, but she is now in advanced dementia, which requires more attention. She also developed a couple of pressure sores about 12 months ago, one of which progressed to a Grade 4 (worst category) and which hadn't improved for a while and was deteriorating quite rapidly. Since the appointment of the new manager, Deborah, in April 2025, things have certainly taken a turn for the better. Deb has been leading her Team by example with her skill, professionalism and compassion and I have often seen her roll up her sleeves to help out where necessary. There has been a noticeable improvement lately in the standard of care being given to mum (who is now healing nicely), by the dedicated and hard-working staff Deb has now working for her. Many thanks to you all.

My mother spent the last year of her life at Woodlands Gate during a time when her dementia was rapidly getting worse. The staff could not have been more caring, looking after Mom with love, kindness and patience throughout. The empathy shown to us as a family as she was coming to the end of her life was more than we could have hoped for. If you are looking for a care home for someone you love, look no further.

Mom moved here in September 2023 after several lengthy and stressful hospital stays. From the outset, she was made to feel extremely welcome (as though she had been there forever!) and she has improved remarkably in the last 4 months. She is settled and happy which is wonderful to see. The management team are very efficient and professional, and the friendly and hard-working staff make sure that the residents are very well cared for and kept safe. The food is lovely, all freshly made, and there are activities and events to keep residents happy and occupied. The care home is very clean and the rooms are spotless. I can't recommend this home enough.

My father-in-law moved to Woodlands in August 2022. He is well cared for and all the staff are lovely. He has dementia and wanted to go home but that was not an option - since being at Woodlands, he has not once asked to go home. We are unable to visit very often but it makes life easier knowing he is well looked after, safe and cared for. Thank you to everyone.

My mom has been at Woodlands Gate since May 2023 the staff are all lovely and make sure that the residents are all looked after and kept safe and well. It was my mom's 90th birthday recently and I was very pleased with the care they took in making sure she had a very special birthday. Our family is very pleased with the care and support she has received so far. Thank you.

Moved Mom from a nursing home to a smaller and more homely residence. From the outset, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, especially the management team. Residents and staff went out of their way to welcome Mom and help her settle in. Would definitely recommend this home.

Cleaning staff are very thorough.

Lovely and friendly home with caring staff who support the residents. Food is good quality and a varied menu for breakfast and lunch with sandwiches and cakes for tea. More than enough quantity for older people. Activities are organised on a regular basis. Dad really appreciates the lady who visits with a dog

We have already recommended this care home to a friend, it is hard to find anything that could be improved. The staff are very caring and professional, they put the resident and guests at ease, the food is excellent and each resident is catered for their personal needs. Overall, we don't think we could have found a better care home for our mom.

I have always found the staff at Woodlands Gate Rest Home to be of a caring, considerate and sympathetic nature. They have always come across as individuals who have a vocation, rather than just a job and are genuinely interested in the well-being of the residents, ultimately, irrespective of anything else, this is what really matters.

I can't tick all the ratings as some I haven't seen, the rooms or activities provided, but my friend is happy, clean and well-fed. The staff are very nice, caring and obliging.

My father thinks he is in a 5-star hotel and I can see why. The care home has been excellent and I would highly recommend it.

My father was sent to Woodlands Gate from the hospital to recover/regain his strength, the care is excellent and the staff really lovely, they really do care about their residents. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Woodlands Gate to anyone looking for a care/residential home.
