As a family we were concerned about mum living alone after sadly losing our Dad last year and we made the decision to look in to moving mum to permanent residential care primarily for her wellbeing and safety. From our very first conversation we felt reassured that Lucy understood how we were feeling and answered all of our many questions. After an initial first visit we took mum to meet Angelina, Lucy and her team at The Chace in Malvern and mum really loved the experience and especially loved her bedroom. Mum also had reservations about it being the right time for a move but we feel that The Chace has such a lovely feel about the home and the wonderful care of team looking after the residents that mum moved in on 27th October and it was the best best decision. Mum is looked after beautifully, has made new friends and is always happy to participate in daily activities, especially keep fit and baking. A very big thank you to Angelina, Lucy and all the staff at The Chace!

My mum has lived at The Chase since March 2020. I just wanted to praise the staff for their wonderful treatment and care of my mum who has advanced dementia. They are very patient at all times and I feel that they genuinely care about her. Nothing is too much trouble and were very helpful when we needed to ask the local authority for help with the fees this year. The activity lady is very good with both my mum and the other residents in getting them involved. Very happy with all at the home and of course the management. They are always looking for ways to improve and involve the families.

My father has been a resident at The Chase for over 2 years now suffering with worsening Dementia.
I can honestly say, the care he has received over this time has been excellent.
The Manager in charge and her deputy, genuinely care about each resident, listen to any concerns (and most importantly act upon them) when I've raised anything.
Communication from The Chase is excellent, and I am regularly informed if there are any changes in my dad's behaviour or health.
All the care staff know my dad well, and treat him with dignity and respect, which is so lovely to see.
It's a 2 hour round trip to visit my dad at The Chase, but without fail each time I drive home, I am comforted in the knowledge he's in the best place possible and is being very well cared for.
He is happy and settled there!

Thank you for all you do - I truly appreciate your hard work and commitment.

My Mum has been a resident at The Chace for 3 years. With severe dementia she has not been the easiest resident to look after but the team have been truly compassionate and caring.
Her care has been supported by a robust care plan and support from the GP surgery team. The care home team have been kind, tolerant and responsive the needs of someone with dementia.

At the end of her life they gave her dignity. She was wonderfully looked after.

Home provided excellent respite care for my wife. She is unfortunately going to need full-time care soon. This was a sort of trial and it worked out well.

My Mum has been at the Chace now for nearly 6 years.
From the management to the carers, activity coordinator and housekeepers, I cannot praise them enough.
These people genuinely care for our loved ones.
Mum always looks well looked after and is on the whole, very happy.
All the staff are so welcoming, it is like a big family, you are made to feel very supported.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Mum loves to go out, so I pick her up a few times a week and take her to see family or just for a drive.
When we arrive back we are warmly welcomed in.

It gives me great comfort knowing Mum is happy in her surroundings and all the staff make that happen and I can't thank them enough.

The Chace has been redecorated since being taken over. Whilst being much tidier it is rather dark, which is odd since the staff have described the building originally as dark. Carers are generally task-orientated and not fully understanding of caring. Attention to detail is lacking, small bits of tidying up and general assistance with room management is missing. Returned laundry is put away chaotically. Management has a poor understanding of the needs of relatives, communication of events, changes to T&C's etc is poor. There doesn't appear to be a strategy for supporting residents feeling lonely.

I am impressed with the refurbishment that is taking place at The Chace. This helps to promote a calm atmosphere. I am also impressed with the ongoing work related to person-centred working. As an ex social care trainer I tend to notice things others may not see. If I raise any concerns these are dealt with professionally by the senior staff and manager. My wife who has been at The Chace for almost 18 months always looks well cared for. I am always welcome when I visit - about three times a week. Overall I think The Chace is an excellent, well-run home with friendly and caring staff. I would not hesitate in recommending anyone to The Chace.

Being the one to put my mum into a care home was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make in my life but now seeing how well my mum is cared for and looked after, all the staff are excellent with her, it has put my mind at ease. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the hard work they have done and are doing. My mum is so happy there, she doesn't ever want to leave. My mum has always got a smile on her face now, which I didn't think I'd ever see again. Thank you to all at The Chace for your excellent work and your excellent care.

With a decade of experience of local care homes, my sister recommended The Chace in Upper Welland due to its obvious high levels of care for the individual clients from The Chace's respectful and affectionate care staff.
Other homes visited over the past years may look professional yet tend to lack the care staff to offer the constant attention and engagement when it is required.

The Chace manages to maintain its professionalism as well as retain enough caring staff to assure families that their loved ones are in the best place and surrounded with the attention and affection they each require.

The Chace has a slightly old fashioned feel and provides a comfortable and safe environment for their residents, many of whom suffer from dementia. The staff are friendly and very caring, they will always make the time to stop and talk to the residents, or even provide a hug if needed. Relatives and other visitors are always made welcome and are greeted with a smile.
Residents enjoy the regular musical activities on offer, as well as yoga, and pet therapy sessions. Residents can choose what they would like to eat at mealtimes and cakes are always provided for special occasions!

The home's management operates an open door policy and they are always willing to discuss and resolve any concerns.
