My father was admitted for end of life care. Everyone had a great approach with dealing with our situation after what has been a really traumatic period in my dad's life. There is a genuine, caring empathetic culture in the facility that runs right the way through the team from management to carers.
Nothing is too much trouble and the team encourage you to genuinely treat the care home as "your home." We were allowed as a family to "live" in the Poplars for the final two weeks before my Dad passed away. He was always spoken to with the greatest respect and always attended to with the highest standards. I would absolutely recommend this care home to anyone - the care is fantastic, the processes and procedures are always followed and the home itself is spotless. Thank you for your support during what has been an incredibly difficult time - but you guys made it bearable and supported us as a family to ensure my Dad was at peace and being cared for 24/7. Thank you.
Reply from Macie Cox, Marketing Executive at The Sycamore and Poplars Care HomeThank you so much for your touching review, we are grateful that we could be there for you at a really tough time. Dad is truly missed and our door is always open as your family will always be a part of our family.

I can not praise all of the team at Windy Knowe enough, from the Caterers to Housekeeping, Carers to Nurses and all of the Management and Entertainment team.
I was full of anxiety and worry that Dad would struggle to settle into a care home setting. How wrong I was ! From the minute Dad arrived through
the door he was met with smiles, dignity and a professionalism that has kept him extremely happy, safe and very well.
Every person who works here is most definitely suited to their role and shows such warmth, compassion and good humour which is so important to my Dad and myself. All of the team work with a smile on their face and they all have time to say hello and let me know how Dad has been that day.
The endless activities sometimes have Dad thinking that he is in a club or even on holiday which brings me pure joy. It was such a hard decision to put Dad into care but I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful place so Dad can be happy in his remaining years. THANK YOU
Reply from Macie Cox, Marketing Executive at Windy Knowe Nursing HomeThank you so much for your heartwarming words, we really appreciate it here at Windy. This means so much to us that Dad is happy with us, we love having him here and he is part of our family.

After taking care of my husband for several years I felt unable to manage any longer. He was taken into respite care at Bucklow Manor Care Home. He has now been taken into full time care and has settled in well. The process went very smoothly with input from social services. It was agreed that the time
was right. Fortunately there was a room available for him. This took a lot of pressure off me. I have found management and staff very helpful and respectful. It is warm and friendly.

My wife was in Bamford Grange Care home ,Windsor Unit for two and a half years. During that time her care was of a very high standard .The staff were always very attentive and treated my wife as a individual. I visited her everyday for at least 6 hours, and I was always able to talk to the staff and
get feedback on my wifes care.
I was treated very well by all the staff ( managers, Nursing, care and domestic staff) who gave me alot of support and comfort.
At the very end of my wifes life, the care we recieved was exceptional, and I will always be greatful.
I would recommend Bamford Grange to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones in the Stockport area.

My husband's stay for post hospital care cannot be faulted in terms of the staff's attitude ,care , kindness , patience and encouragement. Everyone was always calm , cheerful and friendly.
The room was small but adequate and he liked the food provided .
The age of the building meant that it was very
difficult for him to get around in his electric wheelchair . His room and the rest of the building were always clean and well maintained .
The activity coordinators tried hard to find activities that he wanted to join in.
Due to the care of the staff he was able to return home eventually .

When my husband had a downturn episode with his health I was immediately contacted.
The necessary medical professionals attended so quickly.
A new care plan was made and put into immediate effect.
I have always been happy with the care my husband has received and it's 21 months since he has been
at Bucklow Manor and the standard of care and communication is beyond my expectations.
The staff are angels and on the visits I get upset they care for me too.
I'm beyond thankful and I continue to have peace of mind that he is in the best of hands.

I knew from when I entered the premises and received a warm welcome from the management team and staff that this was the right place for my mother. As I walked round, I observed that the residents were all settled and occupied. The building was of a very high standard and there were no odours present
generally associated with a care home. The room they suggested for my mother was substantial. However, we knew we'd fail at first base because it was green. The following day, it had been painted, and that was before we'd 100% committed. Nothing was too much trouble then and isn't now. They have welcomed us as a family and we join family get-togethers organised by the home. Activities are first-class and change constantly, keeping all engaged. For them, it's all about people and the staff are absolutely amazing and incredibly caring. Can strongly recommend this home! One very happy son and, most importantly, one very happy Mum.
