Can not praise this home enough, the care my mother had was first class, every member of staff in all depts were amazing.

The dedication of the carers were to be commended. You hear so bad comments about care homes, but got to say Hinstock Manor, I would have no hesitation in saying to anyone who is looking into care home but to do there very best to put this one on top of your list.

It has been such a delight for my uncle, who stayed at Hinstock Care Home. All staff are very friendly and professional. Everywhere is spotless with rooms cleaned daily. All the facilities are first class, hair cutting, chiropody, and medical, etc. He has been well looked after and made comfortable. I would recommend Hinstock Manor to anyone.

My parents have settled in so very well. The staff are all so very friendly and caring. Managers are also very helpful and caring. Rooms are kept very clean. Food always looks good. Good security to keep residents safe. My parents are always happy and clean when we visit.
Maybe a few more activities to keep minds active.

Overall, as a family, we are very happy with Mum and Dad's care, excellent.

Both my parents have been in Hinstock Manor since November and December 2024. We as a family were unable to choose where we wanted our parents to go as it was an emergency situation and my mum needed placement as my dad was admitted to hospital. It is almost an hour from where we all live. We couldn't have found a better place for both of them to be together. The staff go way and beyond what they should be doing. They have a lot to put up with but do it with care and a smile on their faces. They spoil them as if they are their family. We have found places closer to where we live but none of them compare to how well they are looked after. Anything my dad asks for to eat , he is given, even up to 3 full English breakfasts a day. He has put on 3 stone since he has been there. My mum needs encouraging to eat and a special diet and this is made and they feed her with care and not rushed. We would recommend Hinstock Manor to any family needing placement for family members.

At the age of 95, registered blind, hard of hearing and very frail, Mum could no longer remain in her own home and moved into Hinstock Manor Care Home. She had a lovely, large bedroom with ensuite facilities and was encouraged to personalise it with items that were important to her. The staff were very caring, compassionate, attentive and friendly and did everything they could to ensure Mum was well looked after. Sadly, Mum passed away recently, but I would like to thank everyone at Hinstock Manor, including the lovely reception staff, the carers and the management team for everything they did for her during the 14 months she was with them.

Grandad was admitted to Hinstock Manor Care Home in May 2024 after a spell in hospital.
Throughout his time there he had many laughs with the staff and was looked after at a very high standard.
During his end of life pathway the staff treated him with respect and dignity and made it as comfortable as possible. I want to give a special mention to four members of staff in particular for going up and beyond.

This care home has changed the way I looked at care homes and actually couldn't recommend it any more. Thanks.

From the time my mom entered Hinstock Manor Care Home for respite, the manager and the staff were amazing. Mom was there for 6 weeks and the staff went above and beyond for her. Even when family and friends went we were made so very welcome. Mom would have stayed there but it was a little out of the way for us. Anyone going into Hinstock Manor don't worry you will be cared for by the very best.

Hinstock Manor has been so supportive and professional with all care needs for Mum, she was made comfortable to the very end when she passed. The staff went above and beyond for Mum as Mum deteriorated, we as a family would like to thank them all for looking after Mum and we took flowers and a thank you card to them.

Since Mum's return from hospital following a spell of pneumonia and the following palliative care provided and appointed by the staff at Hinstock Manor has been lovely. Not only to Mum but also to us, her family.
Particular thanks goes to the manager who has shown kindness and empathy in bucket loads.

All staff at Hinstock Manor have given us the love to deal with a difficult time in our lives.

Review from Ian J (Son of Resident) published on 27 June 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum had to go into care following the onset of confusion in June 2018 and the subsequent deterioration in her capacity to look after herself at home. She was made to feel very welcome, had a room that was appropriate for her needs and received personal attention that was sensitive to her situation.
Over the six years that she has been there, her needs have changed, and the level of care required has increased. Carers and all the staff such as housekeeping, kitchen, activities and reception have been perceptive of these changes and adapted the care, attention and room facilities afforded to her.

As age and frailty overcame her, everyone went out of their way to provide care and comfort during her inevitable demise. As a family, we were afforded every facility, and it always felt as though we were visiting Mum at home and not in a care home. We can only praise the caring and supportive outlook of everyone at the home, who created a welcoming environment that made us all feel 'at home'.

The staff here are wonderful - they have looked after my father for over 12 months since his stroke. He has a tendency to wander about and hide - at all times of day and night (like he’s playing games) but they deal with him with great humour and tenderness. There are plenty of activities to participate in - or not! There is also a social page so that relatives and friends can keep up with what they are doing even if they can’t get there as often as they’d like. I have nothing but great respect for all the staff - always there with a smile and a comforting shoulder, should you need it! It’s like family.

Helpful and friendly staff. Always respond to requests to follow up any queries.
Clean and tidy care home. My friend is well looked after and his wife is welcomed into the home when she and I visit.
Perhaps as visitors, we do not see all the communal activities but when we last visited there was a musician providing music and singing which caused a buzz in the room.

Please keep this up within your budget and time restraints.

My mother has been a resident at the care home for the last 18 months. She is always treated with respect and care. The staff ensure that she maintains her dignity. She is always well cared for both physically and emotionally. The home is clean and warm with a nutritious and varied daily food menu. The staff are kind and considerate and always address my mother by name. They ensure that there are daily activities to keep residents occupied and motivated. The care manager is always available and very helpful.

I'm Clare, I have 4 children and have 5 grandchildren. I am currently the Deputy Manager at Hinstock Manor.

I have worked in care for over 10 years. I have completed my degree and wish to continue to progress further.

I enjoy the day-to-day support we provide and bringing happiness and support to the residents we care for. Some days are challenging and can be very emotional, but with the support of the team, we get through these days. Going to work is a pleasure as we get to work in the residents' homes every day, not just a workplace.

No two days are the same - I enjoy being part of a team and knowing we have made a difference to those we support, care for, and work with.
