Both my parents have been in Hinstock Manor since November and December 2024. We as a family were unable to choose where we wanted our parents to go as it was an emergency situation and my mum needed placement as my dad was admitted to hospital. It is almost an hour from where we all live. We couldn't
have found a better place for both of them to be together. The staff go way and beyond what they should be doing. They have a lot to put up with but do it with care and a smile on their faces. They spoil them as if they are their family. We have found places closer to where we live but none of them compare to how well they are looked after. Anything my dad asks for to eat , he is given, even up to 3 full English breakfasts a day. He has put on 3 stone since he has been there. My mum needs encouraging to eat and a special diet and this is made and they feed her with care and not rushed. We would recommend Hinstock Manor to any family needing placement for family members.

Well looked after, activities very good, I couldn't walk when I went into River Meadows but after 15 weeks, I came home to no help, climbing stairs, abandoned my walking stick. Was driving within 2 weeks, drove 200 miles in a day, sold two houses and bought myself a bungalow in the area. Now selling
my husband's collectables and packing ready to move. Now cancelling my attorneys because they have let me down very badly. They have been emptying my house without my permission lots of things are missing. Sorry for the delay.

Mum enjoyed her 2nd respite stay at The Cedars. She stayed for a month while my husband and I were abroad on holiday. She feels really at home at The Cedars where she had a very nice ground-floor en-suite room. She likes being able to join other residents in the residents lounge and dining room. The
staff are very friendly and look after Mum really well. She was lucky to have some nice warm sunshine and enjoyed sitting outside with a cocktail! There are regular visits from a chiropodist and hairdresser and activities in the lounge. She will be happy to return in the future.

River Meadows Nursing Home

It took me a while to find the right nursing home for Mum. I visited quite a few, however as soon as I went to River Meadows it just felt right - good positive atmosphere etc, friendly home. Mum was at the home from June 2024 to her passing in March 2025. It has been a wonderful place for her, where
she has been cared for at a high standard in all aspects. She also made friends with some of the residents and they enjoyed various events and eating together too. The team made Mum's visitors feel so welcome including myself and I got to know the staff well over the month. Everyone from managers to nurses, admin team, care staff, chef and cleaners seemed to know my mum and know what she liked etc. The care was exceptional and to add to this the home has Henry who liked going in Mum's room and she believed he was her cat! Even as the end was coming for Mum, the team looked after her, made sure she was comfortable and kept me informed at every stage. Their kindness and sensitivity has been really appreciated by me, family and friends who have visited. If you ever need me to give a recommendation for someone considering River Meadows I would do that willingly. I would also say that prior to moving there my Mum was at her home and due to her deterioration, it became a burden for me to look after her plus work full-time, my relationship was strained as I was exhausted. Mum's stay at River Measows gave me back my mum and our relationship blossomed again. This was an added bonus I didn't expect. So a big thank you to all of the team who looked after my mum and inadvertently looked after me too. Note - I can't really comment on activities, but I am sure they are excellent and I know that my mum was always included, but due to working I wasn't really around to observe this.

Mum was at Beech House from September 2024 until she sadly passed away in December 2025
During her time at Beech she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, the team at Beech filled her time with love, laughter and non stop support. I knew from day one that i had made the right decision
in placing mum at Beech House. She loved spending time in the beautiful gardens, she would while away the hours enjoying the views and pottering around the flower beds as this was something she loved to do at home.
When mum became poorly the level of care, love & support was amazing....nothing was too much trouble...they were there for her constantly ensuring she had the best level of care right up until the end. Her end of life care plan was exactly how she would have wanted it, she was kept comfortable, monitored constantly and was in no pain and it was all done in a very private and dignified manner.
Thank you Beech

My mum and dad have moved into Hatton Court nursing home last week. Both are very happy. They have seen more of each other since they have been in the nursing home, than they saw of each other in the own home over the last 6 months. As for me and the rest of the family we are more relaxed because we
know that they are being well looked after and that's all we wanted for hem.

My father moved to The Cedars for palliative care and was there for 33 days. Having a terminal diagnosis was initially hard for Dad to deal with and at times this showed in his behaviour. The calm atmosphere at The Cedars allowed Dad to reflect and come to terms with his situation. It was such a relief
to the family that he had that opportunity to have all his needs met and be in a peaceful environment before he passed away at the start of this year. The staff were so kind to Dad, arranged so much supportive care and kept us informed about everything. They were also lovely after Dad had passed away - which helped a lot. Extremely thankful that The Cedars were there when we needed them, thank you to everyone involved in his care.

At the age of 95, registered blind, hard of hearing and very frail, Mum could no longer remain in her own home and moved into Hinstock Manor Care Home. She had a lovely, large bedroom with ensuite facilities and was encouraged to personalise it with items that were important to her. The staff were very
caring, compassionate, attentive and friendly and did everything they could to ensure Mum was well looked after. Sadly, Mum passed away recently, but I would like to thank everyone at Hinstock Manor, including the lovely reception staff, the carers and the management team for everything they did for her during the 14 months she was with them.

Grandad was admitted to Hinstock Manor Care Home in May 2024 after a spell in hospital.
Throughout his time there he had many laughs with the staff and was looked after at a very high standard.
During his end of life pathway the staff treated him with respect and dignity and made it as comfortable
as possible. I want to give a special mention to four members of staff in particular for going up and beyond.
This care home has changed the way I looked at care homes and actually couldn't recommend it any more. Thanks.

I shall always remember the care and kindness that my mother received in her final months. It brought us all happiness and made her passing that much easier to bear. She had a lovely big room with beautiful views of the countryside, a place of peace at a difficult time. She was loved and treated with

My godmother has been at Weston House for nearly 2 years. She settled well in EMI and for such a private person just seems to enjoy it. She tries with the activities when it suits her. She is just content. Any behavioral issues, and there has been some, she is treated with such caring and kindness.
Her needs and safety are paramount and I am kept informed of any issues and falls. She is clean, well cared for and happy. Would I mover her? No, she wouldn't allow it.

The reason I put satisfactory for the room - the emergency stairs are obstructing the day light in the room (realise this is not easy to fix). My sister says the food is good. The staff are kind and helpful. The manager has encouraged my sister to paint and draw again. As far as I can see, the staff
arranged activities and outings to improve well-being and health (thinking about my sister in particular).

My dad was admitted five weeks ago and the manager and all staff have been so understanding and caring with the sudden stroke and dementia that befell my dad. Our mother came to Hutton Court in August 2024. I had been her full time care giver for 2 1/2 years. Since a stroke in April 2023 her abilities had been affected and over time became more complicated. After a fall she became very weak and was transferred to Hatton Court team on a stretcher. Over time
mum has become fairly accepting of the situation and at times she is mobile and surprises the family and staff. The Hatton Court staff are understanding and tolerant of mums ups and downs, are supportive and encouraging. The staff have made a real effort to understanding and learn about her past life achievements. We feel blessed to have mum in such a caring environment.

I cannot fault the care/support that my mother receives. I don't have any experience with food so I am unable to comment. However bedrooms, bathrooms and toilet (commode) are unacceptable and leave a lot to be desired. They desperately need to be upgraded or put in place. This would benefit both residents
and staff. Also double glazing maybe of benefit.
