The Cedars is a smart well maintained care home throughout. There is a comfortable lounge with a television and pleasant dining room. Both overlooking the grounds, with a patio where patients can sit out side. My relative had a big airey bedroom and bathroom. The food was good with a varied menu. People came in to lead exercise and entertainment each month.

My father was in The Cedars from September 2022 where he received excellent care from the very beginning. The professionalism of all staff was never in doubt but it was the kindness and going the extra mile which my brother and I came to value over the years. A genuine warmth and an ability to 'read between the lines' to allow us a fantastic means of communication via video call when we lived a distance away. The staff was strongly led by the manager who 'sailed a tight ship' and all queries were dealt with promptly and resolved. As close to home from home as you can get!

I stayed a Cedars for one week for respite following a hip operation. All the staff were helpful and friendly. My room was elegant and comfortable. Food was good. Tasty. Cedars looked after my mother as a resident for 10 years. The staff and management are like old friends so I felt safe

From the first time we walked into Cedars we felt welcomed by the amazing manager and deputy manager, The Cedars is a beautiful, clean, homely a friendly place, home from home feel. My mom moved in in October and during her time there had wonderful care, respect + went above and beyond for her. I as her daughter was always informed of anything, I always felt reassured my mom was safe + cared for. I can't speak highly enough of all the staff and feel like I had new friends, not just people looking after my mom.

Mum enjoyed her 2nd respite stay at The Cedars. She stayed for a month while my husband and I were abroad on holiday. She feels really at home at The Cedars where she had a very nice ground-floor en-suite room. She likes being able to join other residents in the residents lounge and dining room. The staff are very friendly and look after Mum really well. She was lucky to have some nice warm sunshine and enjoyed sitting outside with a cocktail! There are regular visits from a chiropodist and hairdresser and activities in the lounge. She will be happy to return in the future.

My father moved to The Cedars for palliative care and was there for 33 days. Having a terminal diagnosis was initially hard for Dad to deal with and at times this showed in his behaviour. The calm atmosphere at The Cedars allowed Dad to reflect and come to terms with his situation. It was such a relief to the family that he had that opportunity to have all his needs met and be in a peaceful environment before he passed away at the start of this year. The staff were so kind to Dad, arranged so much supportive care and kept us informed about everything. They were also lovely after Dad had passed away - which helped a lot. Extremely thankful that The Cedars were there when we needed them, thank you to everyone involved in his care.

I shall always remember the care and kindness that my mother received in her final months. It brought us all happiness and made her passing that much easier to bear. She had a lovely big room with beautiful views of the countryside, a place of peace at a difficult time. She was loved and treated with dignity and respect, as were we, a huge relief to us. Nothing was too much trouble, and we knew that she was safe and cared for. Heartfelt thanks to all at The Cedars.

My mother had a severe stroke in November 2023 and as a result we had to move her into a care home as she was no longer able to live safely on her own. All of the staff at The Cedars have been so supportive of my mother's recovery, when she left the hospital she was very unsteady on her feet, the staff here have supported her throughout and she is now comfortably getting around with her stick. Not only are the staff wonderful with the residents, they are equally as good with the relatives, providing reassurance and genuine care. My father was in The Cedars 9 years ago, which is why I didn't hesitate for my mother to live here. A lot of the staff are still here which gives testament to the home and the management. Thank you to the manager and her team.

My late father was a resident at The Cedars for nearly three months. For the entirety of his time there, he was treated with utmost care and respect throughout. All staff were always very helpful and friendly. I was always kept informed and up to date with my dad's condition, and the team was very reactive to questions and requests.
The Cedars have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Its facilities are excellent and are kept clean and tidy inside and out.

My family and I will always be so grateful for the care my dad received.

I lost my mum recently at The Cedars. She had lived there for 4 and a half years. I will always be grateful for the wonderful care she received. The staff are all amazing and treated Mum with great dignity and respect. I was always well-informed and kept up to date with Mum's health issues. The Cedars has a lovely family atmosphere and Mum was always happy there. To all the staff there, keep up the amazing work you do.

My mother stayed at the Cedars for 6 months, for end-of-life care. Over that time she had fantastic care from all of the staff, nurses and management. Over all of the time she spent at the care home, we received regular updates on her health conditions from the nurses and management. After a difficult initial period of settlement into the nursing home, my mom settled in and was always made very welcome by all of the staff. I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending this nursing home. We would like to thank the Manager and all of her staff for all their support over this difficult time and for making my mom's final months at the home as comfortable as possible.

Mum was very happy at The Cedars. She was well looked after and cared for. There were crafts, singing etc in the afternoon which Mum loved as she was a people person. Also, the summer fair was lovely as it brought everyone together. Thanks again to everyone who looked after Mum.

My dad has always been strongly against care homes, however, since a decline in health we were left with no choice as more care was needed.
I have to say that in just a short time he has settled in really well. The staff are kind and respectful and keep us notified quickly of any change in health or other aspects of care. For the first time in over 5 years, we are able to relax knowing he has round-the-clock care.

Thank you all at The Cedars.

My father had dementia and moved into The Cedars for respite care after a difficult period of me trying to care for him at home. He quickly settled and responded really well to the calm and caring atmosphere and so we arranged for him to stay.
The nursing staff are skilled and attentive, helpful and friendly. They consistently go the extra mile for the residents, nothing is too much trouble.
The lovely ladies who do the laundry take such care making sure everyone's clothes are nicely pressed and returned to the individual rooms. The whole place has a personalised family atmosphere.
The manager and her deputy are kind, friendly and approachable, they were both reassuring and compassionate when I was worried and anxious at the beginning of Dad's stay.

Dad lived at The Cedars for the last six months of his life. He was treated with respect and kindness and I am so glad that we found this care home. Thank you so much to everyone at The Cedars.
