Our aunt came into The Cedars in November 2018. Suffering from vascular dementia and unable to care for herself, she was reluctant to leave her home, but an ‘army’ of carers were unable to keep her safe. The Cedars provided a perfect solution. Auntie settled quickly and began to enjoy the safety, comfort,
company and excellent choice of food at mealtimes. She had photographs and personal items, which she personalised her room and she loved that room. The staff were kind, welcoming and reassuring. Her personal care was excellent, and medical needs were constantly monitored with visits from local Doctors whenever needed. Gradually, her mood improved and she began to regain her sense of humour. She formed friendships with staff and was happier than she had been for some time. The care, attention and kindness of the staff were outstanding. Auntie’s dignity was respected, and the staff had a dedication to duty, which was lovely to see. Thank you all.

My mother has been a resident at The Cedars for two and a quarter years. Over that time we have been extremely happy with her care. All the staff were kind, compassionate and treated her with dignity. Communication with us was excellent. We felt we received immense support on the day was passed away
at the home it was of great comfort to us. The only area I have rated good was activities only a relative weakness there could have been more variety and encouragement to participate.

My mother was transferred to The Cedars from hospital in March 2018 and she remained here until she passed peacefully away in August 2019. She was always treated with great respect and extremely well looked after by all the staff.
My family and I cannot thank everybody enough for the amazing care
that she received.

My mother was at the nursing home for the last week of her life. I would like to thank all of the staff at the home for their care/support they gave my mom. She was always treated with dignity, spoken to with respect and wonderful kindness. They also gave me and my family and friends absolute care and

My mother has been at The Cedars since September 2017 and has been in good health since she arrived. I believe this is due to the excellent personal care she receives.
The staff have always treated her with kindness and respect. I appreciate food at meal times take time to deliver but the food at lunchtimes
often appears cold and dry.

Our mother was treated with the utmost respect, dignity, love and kindness for the last 17 months of her life, which she spent living here at The Cedars.
All the staff were truly wonderful, showing genuine compassion and friendship, not only to mum but also to us, her family.

for your patience, humour and selfless commitment to making mums time with you as happy and comfortable as possible.

The care my wife received could not have been bettered.
Please note that my wife was admitted with state funding and was only there for 48 hours until her death so I cannot really comment on activities, Safety, Value for Money but from my experience of the home, I have no doubt that they are excellent
too.

Whilst accommodation, food, cleanliness are all extremely important. The most important thing for us is how mum is cared for and her happiness. The staff from the manager, nurses, carers, activity coordinator and kitchen staff are wonderful! Each and every one of them is dedicated and professional.
What sets them apart is their kindness and compassion not only to mum but to us. They have supported us through a very difficult journey helping us understand mums condition. We will never be able to thank them enough! They not only help mum who is blind with washing, dressing and feeding. They genuinely befriended her laughed, joked and more importantly interacted with her and make her feel loved and safe in some of her darkest hours. Thank you all so much.

The Cedars is situated in a peaceful location on the edge of Albrighton. It enjoys spacious gardens and a lovely outlook over countryside. We could not have been happier with the care Dad received here. The Managers and their team were friendly and welcoming, whilst their professionalism and expertise
provided great comfort and reassurance for us as a family during a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble; without exception, the staff were caring and attentive ensuring Dad was comfortable and treated with dignity at all times. Our thanks and gratitude to all at The Cedars.

My mother went to The Cedars initially on respite whilst she visited for a place to become available at another care home. After 3 weeks she enjoyed The Cedars and particularly the staff so much that she requested to remain as a full residential patient. The care, love and affection she was given particularly
in her last days was wonderful. She really loved her time at The Cedars as we as her family are grateful for the exceptional staff who made her 2 months visit such a lovely one.

Dad went in at the end of February for palliative care as his heart is failing.


I can't sum up just how caring and efficient the staff have been! They have so much time for Dad, making sure he's comfortable, checking if he needs anything, being really careful and caring when taking him to the toilet

or up to bed. Whatever he wants he gets. They shower him, administer his meds, rub cream on his sores, give him his nebuliser - all really professionally.


There are plenty of staff, at night as well as in the day. Dad needs nursing care and there is always nurses onsite.


The home is very airy, bright. modern and clean, no smell unlike many we looked at, and we looked at a lot! Meals are excellent - it was his birthday today and they made him a cake.


His room has a TV and walk-in shower. They have lifting equipment and know how to use it. They have activities such as dominos, skittles and bird watching.


Not much more I can think of to say other than I thoroughly recommend this home.

Finding the right care home for my Mom became a full-time mission, but on visiting The Cedars, I knew this amazing place would be home for Mom. The love, care, and dignity shown to all of the residents is totally heartwarming. Mom was the first resident in the new dementia suite 'Lilly Pad' with a beautiful
large room with an en-suite overlooking wonderful countryside which made the transition into a care/nursing home very comforting. All of the staff show immense care and kindness. Just perfect.

My family and I liked The Cedars from the first day. I and my brother came to have a look around. The manager showed us around and was very helpful and we said it was a very homely place.
The staff are very very good and what they do for all the residents and are very caring. I myself get on with all
the staff, I have said if they need me to help make cups of tea or anything I don't mind helping them as I love helping people myself.

Whilst walking along the corridor, I passed the open bedroom door of a bedridden resident. A care assistant was kneeling on a "crash" mattress next to a frail, elderly resident. She was speaking gently to the resident by his name and making eye contact. I was struck immediately by the caring, compassionate
and humane manner in which this care assistant was reassuring this elderly person.

The home is located in pleasant surroundings set in lawns surrounded by trees with adequate car parking facilities. The room is a good size, ensuite, light and airy and well ventilated. The management is efficient, professional and easily accessible when required. the staff are well trained and provide
a professional, cheerful, kind and caring service. The rooms are cleaned regularly and the laundry provided is carried out in-house and is good. The food and drink prepared in the kitchen are very good and individual special menus are catered for as evidenced in our care. Light refreshments are offered to visitors and generously provided without cost. A dentist and chiropodist are available when required and a hairdresser and manicurist visit regularly and have been used by us.
