Mom was in the care home for five months. During that time she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, always made to feel comfortable, especially in her final days. Mom liked all the staff who showed so much care and empathy. The hand of kindness shown to the family was much appreciated at such a time of sadness.

Our aunty was cared for at The Cedars in the last weeks of her life. The quality of care there was excellent and we cannot thank the manager and her team enough. They were quick to respond when we needed a place at very short notice and the team there is flexible, caring, dedicated and very perceptive. Not only did they make careful arrangements to welcome our relative and settle her in, but they also supported us during a difficult time. The manager went above and beyond the call of duty to help us. Our aunty needed specialist end-of-life/palliative care and everything was done to ensure she was comfortable and safe at all times. We were kept fully informed. Nothing was viewed as a problem, despite her many and rapidly changing needs and she was treated with great respect. Her time there was short but we are so glad that she came to The Cedars. Thank you so much to all at The Cedars.

Mum and dad first entered The Cedars in Autumn 2017 after an emotional, long and exhausting search for a home that would not just look after, but love and care for them. They settled immediately after spending sixty-plus years in their family home. It was a smooth and easy transition. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hard work and, above and beyond dedication. Not only for mum and dad but for all of the residents in the home. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the staff and the home to any family that has to go through this time.

I lost my dear mum recently at The Cedars. She'd been looked after there for nearly six years with dementia after moving into the newly opened dementia wing with my dad, who was also suffering from dementia. They were looked after as a couple until dad died twelve months into their care. Mum's transition to life alone was made an easy one for the next five years due to the loving care and attention of all the staff. Mum laughed a lot and participated in the many activities and trips out. We attended most of the coffee mornings which brought the visiting families together for a chat which was lovely. Mum was content and considered the care staff her extended family. Her appetite improved there too, which was nice to see. Thank you to all the lovely people for making mum's last few years as happy as they could be.

My friend had been a resident for over six years at the Cedars before she sadly passed away on 1st January 2022. The care and compassion she received during that time was very good. The staff from domestic to care staff, were kindness itself. Anyone needing care would be safe in their care. I want to thank everyone wholeheartedly for the love and kindness shown.

Unfortunately, our Mum could no longer stay in her own home. Thankfully, The Cedars care home has been amazing. They are so caring and thoughtful, even doing the small things like putting the tennis on for my mum to watch and sending us photos of her enjoying it. Regular Zoom video calls help us keep in contact, and it's always good to see Mum smiling.

Our aunt came into The Cedars in November 2018. Suffering from vascular dementia and unable to care for herself, she was reluctant to leave her home, but an ‘army’ of carers were unable to keep her safe. The Cedars provided a perfect solution. Auntie settled quickly and began to enjoy the safety, comfort, company and excellent choice of food at mealtimes. She had photographs and personal items, which she personalised her room and she loved that room. The staff were kind, welcoming and reassuring. Her personal care was excellent, and medical needs were constantly monitored with visits from local Doctors whenever needed. Gradually, her mood improved and she began to regain her sense of humour. She formed friendships with staff and was happier than she had been for some time. The care, attention and kindness of the staff were outstanding. Auntie’s dignity was respected, and the staff had a dedication to duty, which was lovely to see. Thank you all.

My mother has been a resident at The Cedars for two and a quarter years. Over that time we have been extremely happy with her care. All the staff were kind, compassionate and treated her with dignity. Communication with us was excellent. We felt we received immense support on the day was passed away at the home it was of great comfort to us. The only area I have rated good was activities only a relative weakness there could have been more variety and encouragement to participate.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We have recently appointed a new Activities Supervisor to Springcare, who will strengthen the team and work with our home Activity co-coordinators, to encourage as much variety and participation as they can.

My mother was at the nursing home for the last week of her life. I would like to thank all of the staff at the home for their care/support they gave my mom. She was always treated with dignity, spoken to with respect and wonderful kindness. They also gave me and my family and friends absolute care and support too. All homes should and could be run like this. THANK YOU!

My mother has been at The Cedars since September 2017 and has been in good health since she arrived. I believe this is due to the excellent personal care she receives.

The staff have always treated her with kindness and respect. I appreciate food at meal times take time to deliver but the food at lunchtimes often appears cold and dry.

The care my wife received could not have been bettered.

Please note that my wife was admitted with state funding and was only there for 48 hours until her death so I cannot really comment on activities, Safety, Value for Money but from my experience of the home, I have no doubt that they are excellent too.

Whilst accommodation, food, cleanliness are all extremely important. The most important thing for us is how mum is cared for and her happiness. The staff from the manager, nurses, carers, activity coordinator and kitchen staff are wonderful! Each and every one of them is dedicated and professional. What sets them apart is their kindness and compassion not only to mum but to us. They have supported us through a very difficult journey helping us understand mums condition. We will never be able to thank them enough! They not only help mum who is blind with washing, dressing and feeding. They genuinely befriended her laughed, joked and more importantly interacted with her and make her feel loved and safe in some of her darkest hours. Thank you all so much.

The Cedars is situated in a peaceful location on the edge of Albrighton. It enjoys spacious gardens and a lovely outlook over countryside. We could not have been happier with the care Dad received here. The Managers and their team were friendly and welcoming, whilst their professionalism and expertise provided great comfort and reassurance for us as a family during a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble; without exception, the staff were caring and attentive ensuring Dad was comfortable and treated with dignity at all times. Our thanks and gratitude to all at The Cedars.

My mother went to The Cedars initially on respite whilst she visited for a place to become available at another care home. After 3 weeks she enjoyed The Cedars and particularly the staff so much that she requested to remain as a full residential patient. The care, love and affection she was given particularly in her last days was wonderful. She really loved her time at The Cedars as we as her family are grateful for the exceptional staff who made her 2 months visit such a lovely one.

My sister was at The Cedars for 5 weeks with a terminal illness. The standard of care and support was excellent. Staff were so kind and considerate and treated my sister with great dignity. I would like to thank them all for the way in which they cared for her at her life's end. In particular, I would like to thank the manager and her deputy for the support that they gave to me.
