Brimstage Manor have taken excellent care of my dad, helping him to settle, encouraging him to join in with activities (despite his initial reluctance) and providing him with a safe environment to live in. They are very adaptable to the needs of their residents and assist family members who may need support through difficult periods.

I am extremely happy in the knowledge that my father is in good hands and being well looked after which a huge comfort to me.

Our mum / nan went into The Grove as she was end of life mum was treated, With kindness and compassion, always preserving her dignity and caring for her as she was one of their own. they made the home feel like a home away from home for our whole family. During one of the hardest times of our lives, they supported not only my mum but all of us with such warmth, compassion and understanding.

All I can say is massive thank you to all the staff at Park House Care Home, they were amazing looking after my mum and all her care and needs going the extra mile, showing respect and compassion to our family we will never forget what they done for us most important our mum, it was a credit to meet you all and the work you do can't thank you enough will never forget you all. xxxx.

Dad has been in the home for a good few months now, this is the second home he has been in, the first home was very good but could not meet his needs the way brimstage has, the staff are great they all show him the respect and care he needs and nothing is too much trouble, the activities they offer are great and dad always tries to join in especially if it's singing or dancing and really enjoyed planting in the green house, and celebrated his 80th birthday with a little party where all the residents joined in with the singing and dancing, dad has had some issues and the staff dealt with it all effortlessly and kept us in the loop throughout I would not want him to be anywhere else as he is very settled here, would highly recommend them all

For Me, I Feel The The Happiness and friendliness are really important. The staff All are so Part of this, and it MAKes a really big difference to everyone. always a Smile and a warm welcome. should never change it in my opinion a big part of Windy Knowe. THANK YOU

I have visited a few care homes recently and this felt very reassuring. The only thing I would comment on was that the resident had a board next to her chair telling her it was Wednesday but it was in fact Saturday, however it is possible that the resident who has strong views may not have wanted it changed. She was watching TV on silent and she resisted my offer to put the subtitles on for her.

The home is in beautiful, well kept grounds with beautiful gardens. Mum has enjoyed getting out into the gardens this summer.

My experience of Windy Knowe is extremely positive. The care provided to my wife is of a very high standard. The meals are varied and well prepared, and the appropriate assistance is provided to residents during mealtime. The very best attribute of Windy Knowe is the wonderful staff who are very well led. I have always found each and every member of the Windy Knowe team to be most caring, courteous and easy to talk to. They often ask after my welfare showing a wider concern for family members as well as residents.

An excellent care home, clean and tidy with kind, caring staff. Could not be faulted.

My mother moved into The Grove nursing home after deteriorating and being too complex to go back to her previous care home (residential). Debbie the manager is amazing, she goes above and beyond to ensure the care is patient centred and tailored to the individual, you can tell she really does care about her job. All the staff are lovely and professional, all my queries are dealt with and I've had no issues. It's also decorated like a hotel and very asthetically pleasing with lovely big rooms.

My mother was a resident for 4 weeks after being in hospital following a fall. The care she received was excellent and so much more reassuring after terrible hospital care. My family and I are so grateful to the staff making her last few weeks comfortable and caring for her so well. She was over 100 and sadly died after 4 weeks but during that time the staff were very supportive both of mum and the family and communication was excellent. We are very grateful to you all.

Dad moved into Westwood Hall a couple of months ago. He has been able to gradually settle in with the support of some amazing staff. Not only do The Team at Westwood create a friendly for their residents but family and visitors too

My lovely sister-in-law has been at Windy Knowe for nearly 2 years. It's the best thing we have done for her; her care from the staff is outstanding, and they treat her as if she were family. The place doesn't feel like a home, but an extension of her own home; the food is lovely, the entertainment is always on the go, so she is never left to her own devices. Would highly recommend.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mum. My mum came to Park House Care Home at the start of April '26. She was previously in a care home in Southport. I could not believe the difference in the two. Park House is so much better and my mum has settled in fine. Everything about the place has impressed me. From the moment you walk through the door, all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is spotless and my mum's room is homely. Just in the space of 4 weeks, my mum is more settled and happy. I have no concerns for my mum's care. Thanks to the team.

My mother has been a resident for the past 6 months. My experience of Park House Care Home has been very reassuring from the start. It has a welcoming atmosphere and all the staff have been kind and attentive to my mother. Nothing is too much trouble. The communication between the staff and myself has been excellent. I have been updated immediately about any health changes. The activities staff are very enthusiastic and my mother enjoys joining in when she can. In conclusion, myself and my family do not worry about my mother, we know that she is safe, happy and being well looked after.

My husband entered Windy Knowe in January 2026, during this very emotional period they made the transion for him and me as smooth as it could be. They are helpful with any issue and I am happy he is in Windy Knowe.

Windy Knowe is an excellent home, and I have nothing but praise for the staff. I have found them all, without exception, caring and understanding of my husband's needs. He loves the activities, is well fed and clean, and despite a limited awareness of his situation, seems content. Whenever I visit, staff take the time to speak to me, update me on what he has been doing and offer me coffee! I am so grateful for everything they do for him. All of the family comments on the atmosphere in the home and how welcome they feel.

The home itself as undergone a refurbishment and is now a beautiful bright welcoming home.
