Amazing staff that have taken wonderful care of my mother. Specifically call out Julie (activity dir.) for keeping her busy. Love that my mom is in great care!

My mother-in-law has been in Bucklow Manor for a few weeks now and seems very settled. She is eating well and enjoying the routines. The care staff know her habits and preferences and treat her with dignity and kindness. She recently celebrated her birthday and the cook made a beautiful cake for her to share with other residents.

My father was with you for only a week as he was transferred from hospital at end of life stage. You cared for him with such amazing compassion, dignity and respect. I cannot praise you all enough. Most wonderful staff. An absolute credit to your profession. My father died peacefully, comfortable and safe. Thankyou so much, words really cannot express my admiration xx

Mum is happy in the home. All the staff are friendly and caring and also knowledgeable about their residents needs. They made mum a lovely birthday cake and made a fuss of her on her big day. The home itself is excellent with plenty of space and different areas to sit in . The gardens are terrific and the surroundings could not be better.

My Dad went for respite care and has continued in Henning Hall as a long-term resident. He settled quickly in the home due to the excellent care he received and the patience and kindness of the carers and nurses. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home and I can't praise the staff enough for how they have cared for my Dad.

I want to acknowledge the compassion, care, professionalism, dedication and support all members of staff displayed to my brother during his time with you. Because of your team, my brother's life was enriched and enjoyed whilst under your care. These attributes were more apparent at the end of Ian's life when your team ensured his last few days were as dignified and as comfortable and pain-free as possible. The care and support given to me, and my family was something we will not forget.

First off like to say Nicky at the desk is first class. But some of the agency staff is are total rubbish. Permanent staff are good as quoted by Les.

Everything about this care home is brilliant. My mother is so well looked after. The staff are great and their communication is second to none. The facilities are very good. The cleanliness is perfect. We are so grateful of their help and assistance. Thank you everyone!

The major negative experience came from a very small room which I was allocated. During the hot weather the room was barely occupiable with insufficient ventilation, Also there was a prevading smell of urine, which must have come from the carpet.

Allways care and keep us informed of the many activities mum gets envolved in they are really helpful when we ask questions around mums health and wellbeing. A nice athmosphere allways, mum enjoys her time here.

Mum's room is always clean & tidy, with her personal belongings on display. I believe she is treated with care & respect. Mum enjoys the many activities on offer.

Great staff - high quality care

My mum has been at newton hall for 16 months from day one we had issues with the way mum was being treated the staff showed no compassion and no dignity no interaction with mum .mum has gone down hill since being at newton hall by them need meeting her needs basically being left just to walk around when asking to be taken outside they would stand her at a window mum always had dirty clothes on mum having falls and not reporting it to safe guarding as a member of staff informed us that it's a low level but it's a unexplained injury please do not put your parents in this home.

I cannot praise this nursing home highly enough. The care they deliver really goes beyond the standard care.

They really helped her as her health declined and I she genuinely loved some of the staff who looked after her, both during the day and at night.

My mum is in the Barns part of Davenham Hall, a separate unit for dementia. Very welcoming and friendly. Qualified nursing staff. Nice food. Plenty of activities scheduled although my mum doesn't participate. She is well looked after and I trust the staff. Rooms are spacious with good furniture. Always warm inside. Security is good for access and exit.

My friend suffers from progressive vascular dementia and was placed at Bucklow Manor after a long spell of being lovingly cared for at home solely by her husband. Her needs became more than he could manage and her move into 24/7 care was regrettably inevitable. She settled in surprisingly quickly and because of the attention and care of the staff I saw a noticeable improvement in her mobility and interactions. As a result of the general activity, and being amongst many more people, she has been brought back from a general malaise. She had started to need a wheelchair at home and I was delighted to see her walking independently again, albeit at a steady pace but without any aid. On my visit, and accompanied by her husband, she could hold their dog's lead and still walk without assistance. I was very impressed with the staff and the attention they give to the residents' care. The common rooms were clean, fresh and airy and the entrance was welcoming and with a small waiting area.
