My dad was brought to Ringway from the hospital and was mainly bedbound in the hospital. He was put in Lancaster and we were amazed at the change in my dad. He is walking, going to the toilet, etc., and it's all down to the care of the staff in Lancaster. Every single person there is so welcoming and
caring, we can never thank this team of angels enough for bringing my dad back, they are all amazing and want to say a truly heartfelt thank you.

My aunt was cared for at Ringway Mews, Lancaster House. The whole team showed her compassion and respect, taking time to talk to her, encouraging her to eat her meals and making sure she was washed and comfortable. Her room had french windows and she was able to look out and see the beautiful gardens.
The room had some lovely touches - flowers, matching curtains and bed runner. Lots of activities, a very happy place My aunt was shown love and dignity when she passed, staff were available to talk to and guide us through the next steps. The Unit Manager was always available and the Nursing Home Manager took time to speak to us after my aunt passed. Would strongly recommend. A delightful place for a loved one.

My wife was in Bamford Grange Care home ,Windsor Unit for two and a half years. During that time her care was of a very high standard .The staff were always very attentive and treated my wife as a individual. I visited her everyday for at least 6 hours, and I was always able to talk to the staff and
get feedback on my wifes care.
I was treated very well by all the staff ( managers, Nursing, care and domestic staff) who gave me alot of support and comfort.
At the very end of my wifes life, the care we recieved was exceptional, and I will always be greatful.
I would recommend Bamford Grange to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones in the Stockport area.

Very friendly atmosphere. Staff attentive and compassionate For many on the dementia wing it is clearly far more than a job. It is a vocation which they pursue with loving commitment and patience. Everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The care my wife has received has been excellent.

A warm welcoming place. The staff are very caring as confirmed by my wife. Food offered is of a good quality and residents are asked for their preferences the day before. Nursing staff are great and very approachable. My wife relies a great deal on medication and this is always given appropriately and
at the right time . It is also provided by staff if we request to take her away for a short break.

Following my mum staying in a psychiatric unit under a section 3 for the last 4 months my mum has been welcomed back to her residential home. They are working very closely with the outreach workers to make my mums transition successful and hopefully she will be able to continue to stay at Bamford Grange.
My mum has been a resident for the last 2 1/2 years at Bamford and she has been well looked after. Communication is generally very good and they have worked hard to help mum during times when her mental health has deteriorated. On the whole she enjoys her stay even if she does not readily engage with staff.

My sister was in Ringway Mews. We could not have asked for better care than she recied by her carers. She was loved and cared for as though she was one of their own family. They treated her with total dignity and compassion. I would recommend anyone putting a family member into care to put them into
this lovely home. The manager and caring team were so caring towards her, and to all of us as a family, we will be forever grateful for everything they did for her.

From the very first time I knocked on the door I had a real positive feeling that Bamford Grange was the perfect place for my mother to reside to.
The first people I met could not help me anymore than they did and I thank Rolf and Donna for their very friendly welcome and introduction.
Well done Bamford

My mum stayed here from October to November 2025 under a D2A placement. Shortly after arriving, she fell out of bed onto a hard floor because bed rails were not used, despite them being in her care plan. She had to be taken to hospital and was in significant pain.
When she was discharged back to Ringway,
her care needs were still not being met. Her personal hygiene was not adequately attended to and there were issues with her medication. The food was of such poor quality that I frequently brought in meals myself. Her room was also unclean.
We raised these concerns with the care home manager, but after allowing 28 days, no investigation was done. We then contacted the head office, but the response we eventually received did not address the problems we had reported.
Once the D2A placement ended, the social worker agreed to an emergency move, but sadly, Mum never recovered from the poor care she received.
I cannot recommend this care home and would urge others to consider different option.

Wellington House 1-2-1 ..after several months of issues it was agreed that mum could move to wellington I only wish this has been done sooner, the difference this has made to mum is great , she is more calm, settled, relaxed and most importantly less anxious and I can't thank the staff enough for the
time and care they give and for taking the time to understand what her needs are .I go daily and at different times and the staff are always busy tending to residents .the carers and the nursing staff seem to be a great team, friendly and hard working making sure all residents are seen to even when short staffed, we are happy with mum's room which is cosy and has plenty of space .Food is a let down for soft diets there is no option and consists of mashed potatoes for both dinner and tea with a bit of meat and 1 veg and pudding is usually a yoghurt, mouse supper is cereal .I have been assured for the last 12 months this is being addressed however I have yet to see any improvement..

My nan was in Wellington house for 7 months and the care she got was bad. She would go weeks without having a shower, hygiene was appalling, food is dire, in the short space of time she was there she had 4 water lesions as she wasn't being changed enough, she had 3 safeguarding referrals put in for
falling out of bed, being burnt and weeks of dry skin at the top of her legs as the cream the Dr prescribed wasn't being put on regular. Majority of the carers in Wellington are lovely but unfortunately they are understaffed and don't have the time to look after everyone in the way they would like. Higher management don't care that basic needs of residents aren't being met, instead they gave my 91yr old nana 28 days notice stating they couldn't meet her needs, this was after us making the same complaints about basic needs, then my mum was asked to write a review and the management didn't like what she wrote so kicked nana out.
Reply from Macie Cox, Marketing Executive at Ringway Mews Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear about the concerns you have raised regarding your Nan's time at Wellington House. The wellbeing, safety, and dignity of every resident is our highest priority, and we take feedback of this nature extremely seriously.

While we cannot discuss individual circumstances publicly, we can assure you that all reported concerns-including those related to personal care, clinical needs, and safeguarding-are fully investigated in line with regulatory requirements and our internal policies.

Staffing, care quality, and communication with families are areas we continually review, and we are committed to supporting our team so they can provide the level of care every resident deserves. We are sorry if you felt this was not reflected in Nan's experience.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Partner been in Lancaster House since January 2025. I have always been kept informed about his care and any queries I have had have been dealt with straight away. All the staff I have dealt with have been very helpful and treated partner with respect. Manager of the unit always keeps me informed and
always available. If i have any queries. The unit is looking tired and needs updating which I believe will be next year.
Only problem I have in there is not much. Activities again I believe this is being looked at. All the staff on the unit work hard.
