Housman Court was fortunate to have Tracey join the team in May 2025.
Tracey is a qualified teacher and a qualified accountant, and has quickly assimilated into the role - she thrives on finding innovative solutions to problems. She moved from a remote work-from-home role, back into working in a workplace and says that she goes home at the end of the day far happier.

Her favourite expression is "If I don't know how to do it, I will find out how to do it !"
Wendy qualified as a nurse in 1986, when City Hospital was still called Dudley Road Hospital. She was a Theatre Superintendent in the NHS before East Birmingham Hospital was called Birmingham Heartlands. The majority of her career has been spent in Older Adult Care, and after supporting 5 of her own family with dementia and frailty and previously being a Registered Manager herself in Birmingham, she brings a wealth of experience to the team. Wendy leads the company induction days for staff, which she makes memorable and interactive.
Wendy is passionate about making sure that the group of homes are run to enable older adults to live life to the full. She sits on the weekly Director's Meeting held at Housman and knows staff and families across the group.
Favourite expression: When residents come into the home, it is the families that look exhausted. It is our job to let families be husbands and wives and sons and daughters again, while we do what we do best !"
Trish thrives in making mealtimes enjoyable. She loves to plan new (delicious) menus, which she involves all residents in. Trish has recently introduced a country of the month into her themed menus. So far we have visited China and Mexico. We are all looking forward to where we will be heading off to next
