My first time in going to a respite, I was very nervous and afraid. But found the carers were very friendly and helpful. I have Parkinson's and other problems. I found myself helped and looked after very well. I will go again if need be. They had got special diet for me which was really good. They all
looked into the room every hour. I felt safe and comfortable. The mattress was a little hard but overall it was good.

Mums last respite stay as usual was a very welcoming meet and greet by whoever opened the door new or old Handover was always communicated at the office or by telephone conversation any concerns were always dealt with promptly giving feedback to the family before respite stay
Mum gave input to own
care provision about personal care needs, furniture adaptations or any requirements in the bedroom or communal areas
Any Communication needs due to speech impediment and poor vision were person centred always been met
Verbal reassurance to my mothers stay was given to the family before leaving therefore always leaving mum and the family confident for the duration of the respite stay
The staff were always hard working, caring, well presented, smiling, happy been attentive in delivering excellent professional outstanding care, helping and supporting my mother with the utmost respect & dignity shining through until the end. A highly recommend well managed care home Thank you all xx

As a family, we feel totally reassured that our mother is receiving excellent care provided by Trentside Manor Care Home. Each time we visit, we are met by a team of friendly and welcoming staff. We are kept well informed and any health concerns are dealt with immediately. Mum settled in very quickly,
this being the result of the initial care and attention she received. We would have no hesitation in recommending Trentside Manor to others.

My dad was not to well when he moved into the home, but with the love, care and attention he was shown by all the amazing staff, who are so warm, kind and friendly and that nothing seems too much trouble for, he got back to a place I didn't think possible. He is treated with dignity and respect and
is looked after like he is their own family. The home is clean and well maintained and the food is excellent. I know choosing a care home is hard but I would recommend this place to anyone and I just want to say a massive thank you for the incredible work they do.

My dad stayed here for one week of respite. All I can say is that for someone who has never been away from home, my dad was treated fabulously and enjoyed the experience. The food was all lovely. Staff very caring and attentive. Would not hesitate to let Dad stay here again. Thank you to the manager
and team for looking after Dad so well, as it was a worry for us. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Currently, my nan resides at this home and so far we are as a family pleased with the care she is receiving. Unfortunately, she had a period of time in the hospital which they wanted to fast-track back to the care home. They were really supportive and nothing was too much trouble at the home.
Because
she is currently bedbound I do wonder if anyone sits and spends time with her. We as a family visit but that would be my only thoughts.
Overall I feel she is well cared for and the staff are great towards my nan and family visiting.

My brother has respite at Trentside Manor Care Home and he says he loves going there as the staff are so friendly, always seeing to all his needs. He also loves the food and the staff let him help, e.g. small jobs like helping lay the table, and he feels part of the staff. My brother has various health
problems and the staff see to medication and everything else and he feels well looked after.

Lovely care home, not too large so it retains the personal touch. Dad has settled in over the past few months and is very comfortable there, with lots of familiar pictures and ornaments in his room. The staff are friendly and caring, treating residents as individuals and making sure they quickly get
to know each person’s preferences. We are finally able to relax a little, knowing Dad is well looked after.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Trentside Manor. Through all of the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic etc. I found the staff to be exemplary. The care home is clean, has a homely and welcoming atmosphere and the service offered by the staff is truly commendable. My mother was a resident
there for seven years, until her passing recently. Even during her final days and hours the staff were most caring and understanding. I could not have asked for more. I can only give them a big thank you.

Trentside Manor helped us at a very difficult time as my dad is Mum's main carer and was rushed into hospital. They went out of their way to accommodate Mum on a late Friday night. They welcomed her at the door and made her feel welcome. Mum stayed for two weeks and was extremely happy. Mum would still
be there if it was closer to home.

Trentside Manor Care Home is exactly what it says on the tin, it is a home. The care is excellent and not just like it's their job like the staff are family and they really do care about my mum. They spot the earliest signs of her being unwell so can nip it in the bud, they see her moods coming so can
avoid most of the tantrums. They look after her like she was their mum. I can't praise them enough. Carers and management alike, excellent in all aspects.

Staff are pleasant and helpful and quick to inform us of any problems with my mother (aged 106) medical needs are met. Residents are well cared for with a good laundry service. Meals are varied with special occasions i.e. birthdays marked with a party. A hairdresser visits each week. The home is well
run, pleasant and value for money.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.141)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.141) out of 10 for Trentside Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.708 for Trentside Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.708
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.433 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Trentside Manor Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.833
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
