Richmond Care Home is located in Shirebrook within the residential area of Recreation Road to the very end near the new (being built) secondary school. It is very convenient for local shops and the main town centre. The home is set within half an acre and has ample car parking for visitors.
The Care Home, which caters for residential clients including those suffering confusion to full dementia, provides 40 bedrooms all of which are en suite. This includes a WC and a wash basin. Carers purposely do not add showers to en suites as clients prefer to be bathed or showered supervised. Although if assessed as independent private personal care is acceptable. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard and is equipped with a call-bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. There are a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms including roll in and roll out showers/wet rooms and one bath fitted with a manual hoist and one with a fully electric hoist for ease of bathing.
