I can't thank the team enough for the care they provide for my dad. We had tried to keep dad at home as we did not think he would settle in a care home but he loves it at Richmond and settled in quickly. The staff are friendly, with lots of activities and a lovely secure garden which is dads favourite place to be. The Manager is great at keeping me updated with anything I need to know and I can settle knowing he's in great hands. Highly recommend Richmond to anyone

My dad has been in Richmond since 10-02-2020 with dementia and other problems, all the staff have been excellent. They catered for his every need, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They made him and me feel part of a great big family, there were so many activities going on all the time. I could not wish for him to have spent his last years than being at Richmond, thanks once again to all staff from the bottom of my heart for the excellent care you gave him, I would recommend this care home to anyone.

My father went into Richmond care home in November 2020 due to dementia. The manager and staff were fantastic with him and all residents. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff to help with anything residents needed. They are such a friendly organisation. They always have something different going on day and night. I would recommend this care home to anyone. Best by far.

I am very happy with the standard of care my husband receives at Richmond. He has a lot of mental health issues and has posed certain problems for me and the staff. However, he is always treated with respect even when he is lacking respect for the staff which does happen. I know he is safe and well cared for and know his needs are being met. The staff do so much for the residents and my only concern is that he won't join in with anything and prefers to stay in his room, but the staff always try to persuade him to come and join in and I appreciate it.

Dad has been a resident in the Richmond Care Home since January 2020.
It was a very difficult decision to make initially but we have found all the staff extremely helpful and caring which has helped Dad settle in really well especially during these unprecedented times.

Although we haven’t been able to visit Dad recently it is so reassuring to know that we can pick up the phone and speak to any one of the management for help/guidance. Cannot thank them enough.

I have been visiting Auntie for some time now, last visited in March, just before the COVID lockdown. I love the feel of this care home when you walk in. It's bright, open and there is no "old" smell apparent when you walk in, it makes a difference. The rooms are bright and modern, laminate floors for cleanliness and there is always something going on. The activities coordinator is fantastic, she has so many lovely ideas to entertain the residents. I love the old part of the building, but there are some extensions of course. Can always smell the clean laundry through the tumble dryer vents as you walk towards the exterior door - a nice smell that you get to recognise as being part of this home. I would recommend to anyone, I would say it's one of the best I've been in. Love the residents and they all seem happy and settled. Not seen the bedrooms but they look lovely from the photos. Could be a little out of the way for some people without transport but easy enough to find.

This is a fantastic place for my mum to live. My mum has Alzheimers and she is treated with dignity and care. She's always got a smile on her face and love's being there. With the breakout of COVID-19 all of the staff have gone above and beyond their duty to look after every one of the residents and themselves. I can't thank them enough for looking after my mum the way they do and the way they have had to over the pandemic. Great manager and deputy manager who has equally got great staff. Once again thank you for everything you all do.

Mum has been a resident in Richmond for a good spell. At first, having been her carer for a long time, I was reluctant and nervous when she was forced to go into care.

I couldn't have chosen a better home for her. The home is well managed and the staff are hard-working and caring.

My mum is a resident at Richmond House and before coming to stay she was very withdrawn and depressed. Within a few months, she settled well and as time goes by she is transformed back to how she used to be many years ago. I think this is due to the chance to socialise with a wide range of people and from being looked after by a team of people that genuinely care and take pride in the care home and all it represents. The staff go that extra mile to put a smile on their residents' faces and make their resident's home a comfortable and happy place to live in. Thank you for all of the hard work it means the world to me to know my mum is safe and happy.

The staff at Richmond are very caring and go out of their way to make everyone welcome. I dreaded Mam going into a care home but it was the best decision I ever made. She was treated with dignity at all times and it really became home to her with the staffs' exceptional care (all staff from cleaners to handymen). The Richmond is clean and food is very good and lovely bedrooms. Thank you, Richmond.

The whole staff team were supportive and encouraging, my personal needs both physical health and mental health were met.
My stay was over the festive season, and activities took place, the proactive approach by staff members made it a pleasant atmosphere, and the local community was also involved which both young and old enjoyed it.
As in any residential setting the backbone of any establishment is the domestic service, nothing was any problem, and things were dealt with professionally and quickly.
Staff also asked for my thoughts, opinions or views on the service they're providing, adding value and giving me a voice, towards the kind of care I received.
Most welcomed the feedback.

Difficulties which arose, whatever it was, quickly addressed, making me feel cared for and safe.

Dignity is a personal interpretation, everyone has different needs and understandings.
Staff actively took great care in ensuring that individuals care included Dignity.

Thank You, is inadequate.
