For the very short time my mother-in-law was placed at Brailsford House, we, as a family, can't thank you enough for the care, compassion and support during a difficult few days. The staff have been amazing, nothing too much trouble, couldn't do enough for us. They made my mother-in-law a priority and
cared for her with dignity and respect.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

My dad was at Brailsford House for approx 16 months. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the care and support given to my dad. He was treated with dignity and respect and on many occasions the staff went above and beyond to help him and nothing was too much trouble. I was always informed of any changes
and concerns regarding my dad. I found the staff very approachable. Brailsford House is a lovely home and I only wish my dad could of stayed there.

My father has been at Brailsford House for a number of years and we are so happy with the home. He has been looked after by the staff so well and we can rest easy knowing that his care is excellent.
We would recommend the home to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and warm care home.

My family (especially my mother) are grateful and appreciative for the care and support that Brailsford gives to our grandfather. He can be difficult at times, but the staff are amazing. We feel so lucky to have found this home. During the Covid epidemic, we receive regular updates, calls, video chats
- we feel that we know what is happening at all times. The dedication of the staff is fantastic and we can not thank them enough. They have had an extensive refurb of the ground floor recently, and the pictures look beautiful. As it is a small home, it doesn't feel too big. It feels like a family home, which is what we all wanted.
Overall, this is a great home!

My mother has been living at Brailsford House for 3 years now. She suffers from Dementia but the staff have been excellent with her. They are professional and caring (from the care team to the admin and management).
She feels at home in the building and although it can be distressing at times to
visit her due to her dementia, I know she is in the best care. I particularly like how the staff greet her and talk to her. They make her feel at ease immediately, and you can tell they really want the best for her.
Brailsford House is a traditional home with modern touches. - a lovely dining room, good food, lovely lounge spaces and safe for all the residents. I recommend this home to all my friends!

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.250)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.250) out of 10 for Brailsford House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Brailsford House is calculated as follows: ( (10 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 10 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.25 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brailsford House is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 20 registered maximum number of service users is 4. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 4 = 0.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
