My mum has dementia, and has been looked after by all the staff very well, she enjoys all the meals they serve. She has been here 9 months now and she had a lovely big room, it is cleaner every day. If she has any ailments they call the doctor straight away. The home itself is generally clean and tidy and smells lovely. Both Corinne the manager and Gulnaz the assistant manager run the home very well.

My sister is in this residential home, has been since Sept 25. From living alone to this has been a transformation, it's great to see the change. Keep up the good work.

All the staff from management to junior staff on the care side have been excellent, friendly, and amiable.
The kitchen staff have also been very helpful when asked anything. The care for our relative appears to be of a high standard.

Additional toilet facilities would perhaps improve waiting times for service user's toileting.

Mum spent a year at Lakeside before she passed away.
It was a difficult time because of restricted visits due to Covid but I have to say the staff were wonderful enabling us as a family to talk to mum over the phone. When restrictions were relaxed visits were very well managed to protect mum and staff.
It has only been three weeks since we lost mum and we can only say a big thank you to the staff for their care and commitment they have shown to mum and our family. The last days of mum's life were made easier for mum and family because of the dedication and kindness shown by all the carers. I wish to stress how important it was to be at Mum's side, not many people have had the opportunity to say goodbye to loved ones. Our family has enormous respect for the carers and the work they do.

Lakeside is well-led which shows in the professional and caring way all staff carry out their daily duties.

Have not been able to visit this past year due to COVID, but staff pulled out all the stops to help my family visit my mother who died in the home on Friday 23rd April 2021. Thanks for all your staff who cared for her and comforted her in her final days and hours.

My only experience is during the COVID pandemic when unable to visit inside due to restrictions. Mum moved into Lakeside in March 2020 just as lockdown started. Staff and management are all very professional, friendly and have dealt with the situation in an excellent manner. Thanks to good management who have built a great team.

Residents are well cared for and entertained well.

My father has been a resident in Lakeside for approx. 6 years. During this time he has received care of the highest quality from the staff.

He got on extremely well with the staff who report that they were always entertained by his stories from his Navy days.

My nan was in from the beginning of the pandemic and the staff encouraged us to ring the home to speak to the patients or at least ask how they were. Nan was always clean, tidy and fairly happy she didn't want to go initially. The staff were very friendly, helpful. I would have no reservations in recommending this care home.

Over the last few years Mum's care needs have increased, from occasional home visits to multiple daily visits, but reached a point in 2020 when she was unsafe at home, and even with a large family and the regular multiple daily care visits the ‘sparkle' she had was being lost.
Mum was reluctant to move from her beloved bungalow, but after a couple of falls, a move was essential for her safety.
After a period of respite in Lakeside, the move became permanent.
Mum loves people around her she gets lots of stimulation from the daily activities, especially socialising with the other residents, singing, bingo and even dancing - all things she loved to do when she was younger.
The managers and staff are, in our opinion, simply the best and all the family will be forever grateful for the love and care Mum receives.

In these difficult times when we cannot visit we have peace of mind knowing that she is in a caring, comfortable and loving environment.

My mum began residential care at Lakeside early 2020, she had experienced respite care at other care homes and absolutely hated it.
We were very concerned for mums future as she wasn’t safe to stay in her own bungalow but was insistent that she didn’t wish to go back to where respite care had been, fortunately, we were able to get mum a place at Lakeside, since then she has loved every minute of being there, she feels very safe and excellently cared for, mum adores the staff and thoroughly enjoys all the activities.
Lakeside is an absolute credit to all staff involved and we really appreciate the way in which mum is cared for, mum really is a different person who is full of life since going in Lakeside.

Many thanks from the family to the managers and all staff members for the excellent care mum receives.

My mother has been in Lakeside for approx 16 months. The staff are very attentive and efficient, her room is spotlessly clean and the food is wholesome.
We couldn’t wish for a better home or care for her and can recommend the facilities to anyone considering them for their relatives.
The laundry is excellent too and the Management are very professional.

Although my mother doesn’t take part in many of the activities organised they look good and the residents enjoy them.

My mum became a resident at Lakeside when my dad was no longer able to care for her at home due to her progressing dementia. Although we were worried about mum going into residential care, the staff at Lakeside were outstanding and supported us and mum throughout her time there.
The managers and the other carers became like family to mum and were always caring, kind and compassionate and provided mum with a safe, clean and comfortable place to live for the last 18 months of her life.
She had so many days of laughter and fun with regular entertainment and the carers really understood mum's needs. Our family was kept fully involved and informed and we visited mum daily.
For the outstanding care, quality, kindness and dignity given to mum and our family by Lakeside, we will be forever grateful.

I highly recommend Lakeside.

My mum was at Lakside for 13 months before she passed away with dementia. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Mum. All staff, management included, were brilliant from the day I first enquired about a room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was outstanding and everyone went above and beyond to make Mum feel at home. The care they showed Mum at the end of her life was as if she was their own relative and the support and concern for me and my dad was much appreciated. There was always activities going on all the time and although my mum wouldn’t always participate the staff always made sure she was welcome to join in and supported. I would highly recommend Lakeside, they really did give my mum an excellent quality of life despite her dementia.

Lakeside looked after my friend for 12-months, couldn't have had better care from all the staff at Lakeside. She died during the pandemic, but we were allowed to be with her in her final hours, so she passed away with her loved ones around her. For this, we will be ever grateful to Lakeside who cared for her until the end with love and kindness

My father has been a resident since February 2020. I cannot say enough about the wonderful Team of this fantastic Care Home. The excellent standards of Care, Dignity, Cleanliness, Comfortable rooms, Health and Wellbeing are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble to ask and everyone ensured my father was happy and comfortable in his stay. They all treated my father with respect and also they had a laugh and gave him lots of attention.
My father sadly passed away yesterday and the love, care and dignity that was shown by them is beyond words. Everything was organised for the family and I know they were all upset at his passing.

The Management Team and all the staff in the Home are amazing and I cannot wish for a fantastic place for my father to have spent his last few weeks in.

It was a difficult decision to move mum to a care home but Lakeside has done an excellent job of looking after her and she is very happy there. The staff are kind, caring and friendly. They are very helpful and supportive both with mum and with us when we visit, at times they have gone above and beyond what would be expected. She enjoys the activities that are provided and is much improved physically and mentally compared with when she arrived. She loves the food and enjoys being sociable with other residents and staff. Her room is comfortable, clean and newly decorated.

Lakeside has looked after my relative for a number of years. I have always found the care given to him to be good. Staff take the time to talk to relatives as well as completing their daily tasks. The management of the home is excellent. Residents privacy and dignity are respected. Food is freshly prepared on the premises with a good choice of meals available.
