I cannot recommend Bushell House enough the staff and the care she received was fantastic she was treated with kindness and respect. Unfortunately mum died eight weeks after my father. But the care and compassion showed to her and to us her family was excellent. I cannot thank them enough.
They provided outstanding care and my father really felt that he was at home.
Communication with us was excellent. I count myself very fortunate that my father was able to enjoy such a pleasant last year of his life.
Her dignity was maintained throughout this difficult period. They also looked after family members during visits offering food and drink when required.
She was reluctant to leave her own home but as she was terminally ill there was no alternative. She couldn't have gone anywhere better and her last few weeks were really blessed at the Bushell House.
Thank you so much for your care for her and also to friends and family when we visited.
I don't know if there is a Christian ethos to the home but you provided a great example of Christian care.
Thank you!
My mother came to Bushell House after 2 previous homes. This is by far the best in every way. She has been here over 12 months and has been very happy and well cared for.
All the staff are kind and helpful and our social secretary arranges nice entertainments for us.
The food is good and we may choose to have meals in our rooms, or in the dining room with the other residents.
My mother has been a resident at Bushell House since March 2015. She is looked after by caring staff who treat her with dignity. She is almost 99 years old and is not ambulant without assistance. Her food is superb with choices for every meal. Well prepared, cooked and presented by experienced chefs, it is served in the dining room and I have even been invited to eat with my mother and other residents which was lovely.
Staff are qualified and guided through relevant NVQ levels and it shows. Activities are provided for those that want them. No one is pressurised and my mother, even at her age, states 'this is my home'. Nothing is too much trouble for staff and I cannot praise them enough. Qualified medical staff are also provided rapidly if required, by a local medical centre.
The surroundings are beautiful and gardens are extremely well kept. Residents can sit out in, or at the summer house in warmer months. Well done everyone at Bushell House.
My mother was a resident for just over two years until her passing 14/5/16. Throughout this time she received wonderful care and attention from all at Bushell House. Particularly towards the end when they went out of their way to ensure that her last days were as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Our family cannot praise Bushell House higher and are so grateful for their superb care.
The home is excellent, the house and gardens are lovely, and really well maintained, and always clean and warm. The food is very good and all home cooked, including parties, celebrations etc. The rooms are homely and comfortable.
The staff are all excellent, very caring, friendly and professional. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always have time for both residents and their families.
There is a varied and interesting activities programme.
I cannot speak highly enough of this home.
My mother has been a resident in Bushell House for three years and loves living there. It is set in the heart of Goosnargh village and feels part of the community. The staff provide wonderful care and the home is friendly and welcoming. I cannot speak too highly of it.
Prior to vising Bushell House I had visited many care homes in a search for accommodation for my aunt. I have to say that I cannot praise Bushell House highly enough. The staff provide care not because it is their job but because they have genuine human compassion for all of the residents. The facilities are excellent, the management are wonderful and services are provided with respect and a caring smile. I would highly recommend Bushell House to anyone.
My aunt has been in the care home for four years. The home cannot be faulted. It is welcoming as soon as you walk through the front door. The corridors are always clean, well decorated and displayed with fresh flowers. The management are always doing refurbishments, decorating to keep it up to date. The staff are always helpful in many ways. The entertainment, activities are also well organised. Every occasion in the year is always a pleasure to attend. Residents birthdays are also celebrated. The food served is excellent. The management run the home with extinction. Lastly, the grounds and gardens are kept immaculate, with excellent maintenance staff.
We took her to a care home which we found to be totally unsuitable for her as most of the residents had moderate to severe dementia and mum had no one to talk to apart from the staff. We then tried 2 more care homes which again were totally unsuitable, then we contacted Bushells House and someone came to assess mum, she passed with flying colours and was in Bushells House within a few days, we haven't looked back and I no longer worry about her care.
