From the very first day the staff were so warm and welcoming with my mum who has mixed dementia and to all the family. They are so caring and it's reassuring to know mum is in safe hands. She settled in quickly 14 months ago and seems so happy there. We as a mums daughters would highly recommend the home.

My Dad became a resident of Halton View in June and has settled in really well. His room is clean and tidy. He is well looked after and is offered plenty of enrichment activities. The food always smells amazing and he is offered choices at every meal. It's always hard having to make the choice to put a loved one into residential care, but my mind is at ease knowing he is getting well looked after.

The staff at Halton View were wonderful with my dad. He was there from April to his death in July and I cannot fault any of the staff there. They were always looking after him and were very considerate to his needs. They were always very friendly to me when I visited dad every day. Towards the end I was there all the time and they fed me, which they didn't have to do and they gave me a bed for me to have a little nap as they could see I was extremely tired.

Thank you to all the staff there.

My frail Dad who has dementia was attacked by another resident while in this place. He suffered terrible facial injuries. A week after that incident my dad fell and fractured his pelvis in 2 places. All unwitnessed!

CQC, social services and the police are all involved. I would not recommend this home to any family. This place has had three managers in the last 12 months and rates inadequate with the CQC, which it is just deserved.

Reply from Ellen Sharp, CRO at Halton View

We are saddened to hear that your experience at our care home hasn't been the positive experience we would like it to be, and would like to reassure you that we take all complaints seriously. With regards to the incident mentioned, the police did attend the home and chose not to take any further...

Mum passed away at the above care home. Her final month was not pleasant but the staff were lovely and caring all the way through. Before this, she had lived at the care home for about 12 months. All the staff said what a remarkable lady she was and were genuinely upset when she passed.

Dad went into this care home for respite.
He really liked the staff and was treated with a lot of respect and listened to.
We were able as a family to come and visit and take Dad out whenever we wished.
We find them very polite informative and genuine.

We felt as a family we could relax as Dad was happy. He was able to go into the garden whenever he wanted which for Dad was a blessing as he loves being outdoors. Thank you from all of us and a big thank you from Dad.

Sadly, my husband had to come into care in November 2019. Fortunately I had three months to adjust and assure myself that the standard of care was good before lockdowns.

I have always been most grateful for the caring attitude of staff and the dignity with which personal care in managed. Staff are friendly and supportive. Management issues, important though they are, are not my concern. The day to day care for my husband is.

Fabulous staff, caring with such empathy. They are all understanding to their residents and families, and it felt we were part of the family.

Manager is brilliant, the carers were funny and always on hand to help. The housekeepers did a wonderful job, and we have a brilliant albeit emotional journey. We can't thank them enough.
