My dad has just spent 12 months at the Langdales before sadly passing away on the 2nd of August 2025. The staff provided a home for my dad who had dementia and couldn't walk needed quite a lot of looking after. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They are caring and very understanding to each residents needs and make you feel very welcome. All the staff work together as one team which is very rare because of this it is a happy and safe place to stay. They are dedicated and ensure everyone receives what care is needed. I would recommend the home and thank you to Langdales team you are all fantastic.

My lovely mum had been staying at the Langdales Care Home for three years before sadly passing away in March 2024. All the staff at the Langdales are absolutely wonderful and should be proud of the work they do and the difference they make to the lives of the residents in their most vulnerable years. I can't praise them highly enough, and their kindness and support will never be forgotten.

Since I started to visit I've found the staff I've dealt with to be helpful and friendly. The cleaners are also helpful and friendly, both are, as far as I can see, doing a great job. I've not dealt much with management.

Overall, I would recommend the home to others.

The staff have worked really well to make mum feel at home. As mum has dementia she can be difficult at times. The staff and management have shown real quality in dealing with mum. It has taken a while but mum seems really steeled now and happier which makes us (the family) reassured she is safe and being cared for. Many thanks to all the team.

I cannot thank the Langdales Care Home team enough. My brother, who has complex needs, has been treated with dignity and respect and cared for by a great team at Langdales Care Home.
I have been informed and kept in the know of what’s happening as and when it happens.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use Langdales Care Home in the future if needed.

Thank you once again Langdales care team.

With my mother-in-law needing 24hr dementia care and never experiencing a dementia home before, the initial emotion of leaving a loved one is quite strong, regarding the process, the care, and generally, how will they cope. But with no hesitation, I can say that the staff, the care and facilities are excellent and my mother-in-law thinks highly of the staff who do a job which I cannot sadly take on, it is left in the very capable kind hands of the staff at Langdales.

The manager is a lovely person very helpful nothing is held back what you want to no she will tell you. My mum is grateful for what they are doing for her she praises them loads and that puts a smile on her face and you have got to be very special human beings to do that. The staff are wonderful and I know that my mum has the best care possible we are very lucky she is in here. Thank you so much for all the hard work you ladies do

All the staff at The Langdales are approachable, friendly and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble. They go above and beyond their roles. They interact with both residents and family, friends and relatives. The home is very much a home from home environment and the food given to the residents is fresh and wholesome. They organise activities which aim to stimulate the residents. Every credit to the manager for all the hard work.

Staff are very good and understanding. I prefer to sit in my room because I don't like to be among others especially if there is arguing. Food is much better since the new chef arrived. I would like more showers/baths.

From walking in the door and meeting the staff on duty I was impressed with the warmth and friendliness.
All the residents I observed were happy and relaxed and taking part in an activity.
My mother was anxious, as was our family, however, she loves it.
She adores the staff who have time for everyone, loves the company of the residents, enjoys the food and feels safe and secure.

I cannot praise the staff enough.

The standard of cleanliness and hygiene is very good. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and caring. The meals are of a good quality and having a choice is much appreciated. When our mother first became a resident her individual needs were taken into account and catered for without question. The clothes are well laundered and kept beautifully clean. The staff work very hard and if we have any observations to make it would be that more staff enhance the care.
