Hurst Hall Care Centre

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife is in the later stages of Alzheimer's disease and has been a resident at Hurst Hall since October 2024. She has settled in very well and this is largely due to the outstanding staff, who show a great deal of empathy for both residents and visiting relatives. They are caring and considerate
and ever watchful for the safety of the frail and vulnerable people in their care. Staff often go the extra mile: a good example is our recent 47th wedding anniversary, a small and very well decorated table was prepared so that my wife and I could enjoy an intimate lunch together, this was very thoughtful and much appreciated. For anyone seeking an outstanding care home for a loved one who is elderly and living with dementia, I thoroughly recommend Hurst Hall.

My husband, who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, has been in Hulton for over five years. Hulton is a happy family home. The staff are second to none, kind, caring, competent and always with a welcoming smile. The food is very good and the home is spotless. The activities are very good and varied.
I cannot fault anything of anyone, and I would highly recommend Hulton to anyone considering a care home for their loved one.

My dad has just spent 12 months at the Langdales before sadly passing away on the 2nd of August 2025. The staff provided a home for my dad who had dementia and couldn't walk needed quite a lot of looking after. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They are caring and very understanding to each residents
needs and make you feel very welcome. All the staff work together as one team which is very rare because of this it is a happy and safe place to stay. They are dedicated and ensure everyone receives what care is needed. I would recommend the home and thank you to Langdales team you are all fantastic.

Dad was adamant he didn't want to go into care, however it became impossible to support his needs at home and he was admitted into Hulton Care Home in August 2025.
In just a week, he has gone from not wanting to be there to really enjoying it. He hasn't complained about anything or asked to come home.
It is a great relief for us.
Before he was admitted, he used to beg me to stay later and later on my visits, now he practically kicks me out at teatime and waves me off. This tells me that he is living and enjoying his life again which is all I wanted for him.
The team at Hulton Care Home are very good with him and I am confident that his physical and mental needs are being met. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they treat dad with the kindness, respect and dignity he deserves. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and the physical and mental workload I have been carrying for the last two years is now in the capable hands of the team at Hulton.

The care my lovely lady wife received was excellent. The staff are caring, understanding, attentive and involved.
The building, similar to many other homes, may not have the amenities of modern homes; however, I am more than content my wife was very well cared for.

My mother came into Hulton Care just after Christmas. We didn't want Mum to be in a home, but we looked at a few care homes. Hulton Care seemed to be the best local for us.
It's now six months and Mum is settled, happy & content, she is very happy with all the staff and says that the food is excellent.

My mother is looked after so well. What a nice environment & lovely, pleasant staff. I do not get to see her very often as I live 3 hours away, but I know she is happy there. Also, they put their activities on social media & I am able to see what she is doing.
Thank you all so much.

Brilliant. Since mum came in, in January they have really looked after her. She has put on weight and eats better. The staff are so lovely from the cleaners to all the care staff. Fresh flowers on tables are lovely. She loves the milky coffee. They made her a lovely cake for her birthday. Mum being
here has given me and my brother our lives back. Thank you so much.

It wasn't until I had cause to visit other care homes that I fully realised just how lucky my stepfather is to be a resident at Hurst Hall. Of course no social setting is perfect, be it a school, hospital or care home, but Hurst Hall has set the bar pretty high. The staff are friendly, compassionate
and patient. The home is clean, well maintained and calm with a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is tasty, varied and plentiful. It's abundantly clear the residents are lovingly cared for.

The staff at Hurst Hall Care Home are amazing. They get to know their residents and let you know about the slightest changes. The residents are treated with kindness, compassion and professionalism. My mum was in Hurst Hall in October. The staff let us stay over night with her, they couldn't have treated
us any better and were there with comfort and guidance when the end came. My step father is still a resident.

Mum has been in Hulton Care Home since June 2024. A 97-year-old lady with all her facilities. Her care has been of the highest quality and she really now feels totally at home.
Having her room recently decorated specifically to match her bedding etc, has been an added bonus.
Knowing she has the care
she needs 24 hours a day means everything.

My dad moved in at the end of November and we, as a family, were worried as we didn't think he'd settle. Straight away, the staff looked after him and made a fuss of him to settle him in. Gave us reassurance with how he was during the week. We visit most days and are always welcomed. Dad always seems
settled and enjoys the food. There seems to be a few activities that the residents take part in each week and dad is encouraged to take part, which he needs. The staff really care about the residents and you can tell that when you visit. A lovely care home that feels like a home from home and has alleviated our worries about dad's care moving forward.

I visit on a fairly regular basis and invariably find the home to be welcoming, relaxed and friendly environment. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and the residents all seem happy and well cared for. I am able to sit with my relative in a different area in the home, and join her at lunch
table if so requested. I have got to know the name of several residents and we enjoy a chat when I visit. There appear to be a wide range of activities and special events, such as Remembrance Day, Burns Night, Halloween etc. are all celebrated.

I popped into Hulton Care Home this morning with a card and chocolates for Christmas. It's almost two years since my mum was here but I still remember what they did for my mum and family during that time when she was here. It was so lovely to see those familiar faces and be welcomed in this morning,
even being given lunch!
Thank you Hulton staff for your continued care.

My lovely mum had been staying at the Langdales Care Home for three years before sadly passing away in March 2024. All the staff at the Langdales are absolutely wonderful and should be proud of the work they do and the difference they make to the lives of the residents in their most vulnerable years.
I can't praise them highly enough, and their kindness and support will never be forgotten.

A massive thank you to the amazing and dedicated staff. My grandma has lived with you for five years and sadly passed away with your care at what we knew felt like her home. Over the years, my grandma grew emotionally and socially thanks to your amazing activities and effort, which is clearly evident
across the board. She loved all the staff there, and the family can't thank you enough. This is home to both staff and residents, and the family feel shines through.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts... you are all amazing.
