My dad seems to be settling in well and being looked after well, with all the staff being very supportive and helpful.

Excellent , the staff and Manager are the best I have ever know. Been too quite a few rest home but none compare too Langdales. The residents are very well looked after and cared for too the utmost. Katie the manager goes out of her way too make sure everyone in her care are happy and well, every day.
I would highly recommend Langdales.

Upon entrance I was met by staff as doors at keycode (safety) then when entering living area staff was always helping the residents while looking around it seems clean tv is on for entertainment staff do reply when asked questions about my aunty and very time I have come to visit my aunty is clean and
clothed appropriately since being in the care home she looks more healthy she has more colour and I am satisfied she is being looked after

Tracy and most of the team have been nothing but amazing for the years that my Grandad has been living at the Oaks. They have always made us feel so welcome and made us feel like my Grandad has been really looked after and cared for. Nothing is ever too much trouble and most of the staff have taken

I can only describe Hulton Care Home at Nelson as exceptional. The management and staff that treat all the residents with compassion, care and dignity. They are fully professional in all aspects of the care that they give, also the environment created is one of hope and happiness, everything is done

My wife is in the later stages of Alzheimer's disease and has been a resident at Hurst Hall since October 2024. She has settled in very well and this is largely due to the outstanding staff, who show a great deal of empathy for both residents and visiting relatives. They are caring and considerate
and ever watchful for the safety of the frail and vulnerable people in their care. Staff often go the extra mile: a good example is our recent 47th wedding anniversary, a small and very well decorated table was prepared so that my wife and I could enjoy an intimate lunch together, this was very thoughtful and much appreciated. For anyone seeking an outstanding care home for a loved one who is elderly and living with dementia, I thoroughly recommend Hurst Hall.

My husband, who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, has been in Hulton for over five years. Hulton is a happy family home. The staff are second to none, kind, caring, competent and always with a welcoming smile. The food is very good and the home is spotless. The activities are very good and varied.
I cannot fault anything of anyone, and I would highly recommend Hulton to anyone considering a care home for their loved one.

My dad has just spent 12 months at the Langdales before sadly passing away on the 2nd of August 2025. The staff provided a home for my dad who had dementia and couldn't walk needed quite a lot of looking after. Nothing was too much trouble for them.They are caring and very understanding to each residents
needs and make you feel very welcome. All the staff work together as one team which is very rare because of this it is a happy and safe place to stay. They are dedicated and ensure everyone receives what care is needed. I would recommend the home and thank you to Langdales team you are all fantastic.

Dad was adamant he didn't want to go into care, however it became impossible to support his needs at home and he was admitted into Hulton Care Home in August 2025.
In just a week, he has gone from not wanting to be there to really enjoying it. He hasn't complained about anything or asked to come home.
It is a great relief for us.
Before he was admitted, he used to beg me to stay later and later on my visits, now he practically kicks me out at teatime and waves me off. This tells me that he is living and enjoying his life again which is all I wanted for him.
The team at Hulton Care Home are very good with him and I am confident that his physical and mental needs are being met. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they treat dad with the kindness, respect and dignity he deserves. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and the physical and mental workload I have been carrying for the last two years is now in the capable hands of the team at Hulton.

My mother came into Hulton Care just after Christmas. We didn't want Mum to be in a home, but we looked at a few care homes. Hulton Care seemed to be the best local for us.
It's now six months and Mum is settled, happy & content, she is very happy with all the staff and says that the food is excellent.

It wasn't until I had cause to visit other care homes that I fully realised just how lucky my stepfather is to be a resident at Hurst Hall. Of course no social setting is perfect, be it a school, hospital or care home, but Hurst Hall has set the bar pretty high. The staff are friendly, compassionate
and patient. The home is clean, well maintained and calm with a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is tasty, varied and plentiful. It's abundantly clear the residents are lovingly cared for.
