My mum came from hospital into Langdales not long after losing my dad. To begin with it took her a while to adjust but the staff were amazing with her. As time has gone on she has made a real bond with all the staff and has made friends. It was traumatic for her losing my dad after over 50 years together and then to move into a care home due to lack of trust in some home carers it was hard but the staff in the Langdales can not do enough for her and actually make each day a day worthwhile. I can not praise the staff for everything they have done for her they have definitely gone above and beyond

All the staff show care and compassion towards my mum they have been kind, patient, and supportive, making a difficult time much easier for both her and our family. The staff always treat her with dignity and respect, and it's reassuring to know she is in such caring hands we really appreciate everything they do and would happily recommend this care home to others carers are worth their weight in gold and should be recognised better in the community and to the government!!

I am happy that my loved one is in such good care.

Hulton Care home is the most wonderful home, everyone who works there become family to the residents & their families. Our Mum, Mother in Law had a very happy 3 years there & they looked after her with all their hearts until the day she died. The carers, the cleaners, the chefs, the laundry people, the hairdresser, chief entertainment officer Liam & Noreen all made my mums stay the best she could wish for. She loved them all. We thought it would have been the worst decision we ever had to make, putting mum into a care home, but in fact it was the best. Mum loved all the weekly entertainment & lots of days out for the residents was wonderful. It was lovely knowing she was well cared for, safe & most of all knowing she was happy. We can't thank them all enough.

Appreciate the reassurance that my dad is being looked after and cared for in what has been a very stressful time for all the family. Good to know that when concerns arise, they are addressed.

I visited my friend who has dementia. I was amazed at how clean and tidy the home was. But more to the point, I was amazed at the politeness and helpful the staff were.

The staff go over and above to make Mum's life at Hulton happy and positive. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff, from manager, cleaners, carers, etc, all pull together to make this a special place.

I can only describe Hulton Care Home at Nelson as exceptional. The management and staff that treat all the residents with compassion, care and dignity. They are fully professional in all aspects of the care that they give, also the environment created is one of hope and happiness, everything is done with a smile. Their understanding is excellent and they go above and beyond in all the care that they deliver. I can only end by saying thank you!!

My mum has been a resident of Hulton Care Home for three years. The home is well managed with the needs of the residents at the heart of everything they do. All the staff are genuinely caring, giving Mum the support she needs, with compassion and professionalism.

My husband, who is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, has been in Hulton for over five years. Hulton is a happy family home. The staff are second to none, kind, caring, competent and always with a welcoming smile. The food is very good and the home is spotless. The activities are very good and varied. I cannot fault anything of anyone, and I would highly recommend Hulton to anyone considering a care home for their loved one.

My dad has just spent 12 months at the Langdales before sadly passing away on the 2nd of August 2025. The staff provided a home for my dad who had dementia and couldn't walk needed quite a lot of looking after. Nothing was too much trouble for them.They are caring and very understanding to each residents needs and make you feel very welcome. All the staff work together as one team which is very rare because of this it is a happy and safe place to stay. They are dedicated and ensure everyone receives what care is needed. I would recommend the home and thank you to Langdales team you are all fantastic.

The team at Hulton Care Home are very good with him and I am confident that his physical and mental needs are being met. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they treat dad with the kindness, respect and dignity he deserves. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and the physical and mental workload I have been carrying for the last two years is now in the capable hands of the team at Hulton.

The building, similar to many other homes, may not have the amenities of modern homes; however, I am more than content my wife was very well cared for.

It's now six months and Mum is settled, happy & content, she is very happy with all the staff and says that the food is excellent.

Brilliant. Since mum came in, in January they have really looked after her. She has put on weight and eats better. The staff are so lovely from the cleaners to all the care staff. Fresh flowers on tables are lovely. She loves the milky coffee. They made her a lovely cake for her birthday. Mum being here has given me and my brother our lives back. Thank you so much.

My dad moved in at the end of November and we, as a family, were worried as we didn't think he'd settle. Straight away, the staff looked after him and made a fuss of him to settle him in. Gave us reassurance with how he was during the week. We visit most days and are always welcomed. Dad always seems settled and enjoys the food. There seems to be a few activities that the residents take part in each week and dad is encouraged to take part, which he needs. The staff really care about the residents and you can tell that when you visit. A lovely care home that feels like a home from home and has alleviated our worries about dad's care moving forward.
