First of all please accept my apologies for the delay in this review.
I cannot thank all staff for the care and companionship they showed my mum in her last few days at Hoyland Hall. Mum had dementia and it took her very quickly but the care they showed me and my family by letting us be at her bedside
24 hours for over 4 days we can never thank them enough for. Definitely recommend Hoyland Hall and again thank you all.

Hoyland Hall took care of my father in law came for three days before he sadly passed away. the home was clean and spotless and highly decorated. The staff were polite, courteous and obliging. They went above and beyond to make your time here comfortable. We have no complaints regarding anything Hoyland

My Mum came to this care home in early June, after being in a different care home. From day one, my family and I were very impressed by the care staff and every aspect of the home. My husband was admitted here from the hospital on end-of-life care. The consultant gave us approximately six weeks. The staff at Hoyland Hall could not have been nicer. They took great care of not only him but me also. Cups of tea and homemade buns or cake were always offered. My husband's needs were
taken care of quickly and to a high standard. All of the girls were friendly and are easy to talk to. They took my husband to their heart and I am so grateful. After seven weeks in hospital, it was lovely to see his last days were some of his best days. Thank you.

Very happy with the way Mum is treated and cared for at Hoyland Hall. Her food is always tailored to her as she doesn't like a lot so is always given what she wants. Rooms are nicely decorated and carers and the management team are always approachable should you need them.

A few things on guidelines of the Government needs to be addressed. We need more visiting times, not just two people per day and a lot more in the pod. I know all about Covid-19 and how long it takes to clean when we have left. Would also like to be told when a resident has been put on treatment for
anything on the day and not find out days later.

I have telephoned the reviewer and personally spoken with him following the above review, assuring him that we will continue to flex visiting times around his work hours to enable him to visit his mother as often as he wishes, as we are currently doing, whilst ensuring we are adhering to government guidelines.
I can only offer my apologies if there was a breakdown in communication on any treatment for his mum; however, I am aware that the Home team do ring the reviewer's sister to update her, so sometimes it is not always possible to speak with all members of the family. However, we do take on board the reviewer's feedback.
I would also like to thank the reviewer for the compliment about the complete refurbishment of Hoyland Hall recently carried out by the new owners.
