Royal Court is a clean, welcoming and caring home. All the staff are excellent carers and my mum was in the best hands. Activities were very good but Mum didn't participate. I would recommend anyone to Royal Court without a hesitation.

The staff really make this care home special. They are all so kind and caring and really go out of their way to look after the residents and the families visiting. Food is great, fresh and all homemade. My only negative is at certain times of the day the staff are a bit thin on the ground and essential
care can be overlooked temporarily.

Royal Court Care Home is a place, filled with warmth, compassion, and genuine care. Every member of staff goes above and beyond, creating an environment where each resident feels valued, supported, and respected. You can see the pride they take in their work. The management team are approachable and
friendly, always willing to listen. Their openness and positive leadership set the tone for the whole home, making it a welcoming and reassuring place for both residents and families. Royal Court consistently delivers exceptional care. When I visit my mum the staff always approach and chat.
I would highly recommend Royal Court.

The staff are always so nice and friendly and the residents are treated with respect and provide quality care. They have made her feel very welcome at the home with their kind and friendly care and support. The home is clean and tidy, and are happy to make adjustments to rooms to make residents feel
more at home. The staff constantly host activities for residents to enjoy and even decorate for each event/season with residents helping. Overall, this home is very enjoyable for residents, and we cannot fault anything.

Royal court was fantastic always through the process of transitioning my mother in law to them for full time care , the process has been long and at times stressful, but thanks to the management staff , carers and everyone else included in the process , I honestly can't thank them enough. Without there
help and support I can't imagine how much harder the process could have been .
Thank you

I recently visited the home and I had a wonderful experience. I was made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff who were really polite. My friend who loves movies told me she just watched one her favourites not long ago and it was nice to share some stories about it. I had a good catch up with my friend.
Overall, it was a delightful visit and I truly appreciate the care and attention shown to both residents and visitors.

My nan has been at Royal Court for 2 years and I have always found her happy. Since the new management and staff have come in I have found that things have improved and I feel as though she has a good relationship with the staff who look after her. There are different activities that they do that she
sometimes get involved in. If she needs any help with anything there is always someone there to help her.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.638)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.638) out of 10 for Royal Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.638 for Royal Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (163 Excellents x 5) + (77 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 246 Ratings = 4.638
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Royal Court Care Home is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
