While housed in an older building, Springwood has been thoughtfully adapted to create a homely atmosphere with smaller communal spaces. Each corridor features a family kitchen, available 24/7 for visitors to enjoy, just like in a family home.

The home offers unique spaces like Daisy Way, with a garden room bringing the outdoors inside, complete with a potting table and garden furniture for vintage teas. Bluebell Row features a '50s-style diner with a jukebox and bar, perfect for small parties. During lockdown, a first class train carriage was created to let residents enjoy world tours through one-to-one sessions with carers, filling the void of not seeing loved ones.

Springwood also has a Charity Shop for residents to enjoy, as well as a parlour for peaceful relaxation or private time with family and staff. A day service in a separate annex offers additional activities, and the home benefits from its own minibus and drivers.

The kitchen team prepares delicious, home-cooked meals every day, and residents can personalise their compact, comfy rooms with pictures and furnishings. The Activity Worker organises exercise sessions, church services, trips to the pub, coffee shops, and local shops, and coordinates events and entertainers. The home has small outdoor spaces for relaxation and a greenhouse for green-fingered residents.

I felt so guilty about placing my mum in Springwood. However, all I can say are only positive things. My mum has gone from sitting in a chair at home all day with 4 carer visits (5mins) and my brother and I calling in daily to smiling and laughing with the other residents doing exercise class, baking,
crafting etc. I feel like I have a mum and daughter relationship back, rather than a carer; she looks so happy. Thank you.

My mother was in Springwood Care Home until her passing. She loved it here. The staff treated her with the utmost respect. Her room was clean and comfy and her meals were exceptional. There were activities as often as possible and included everyone where possible. The building needs a little updating
as one would expect but very secure for the residents. Also unusually always smelled fresh. Washing done onsite which was a big bonus. Hairdressers on-site and a nice little garden. The staff go above and beyond for the residents and family alike. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this care home to anyone thinking about their loved one's needs. Best Regards.

Being my friend's carer since last September I really needed a holiday and at short notice, I was offered a 3-week stay for her.
From entering the home we were made to feel more than welcome. She was looked after with dignity and respect and all of the staff are amazing.
Her room was lovely and very
clean and she could sit in the lounges to watch TV and take part in any activities they were doing.
The meals and snacks are of lovely quality and could have as much or as little as she wanted.
All of the residents seemed really happy and content and they are cared for 24 hours a day.
She was allowed to take anything she wanted for her room and the room was cleaned daily. The toilets and bathrooms are cleaned to a very high standard.
She has really enjoyed her stay and is looking forward to staying again for respite.
Thank you to all the staff. The manager is an amazing lady and speaking with the staff they are very happy working there.

Just spent Mother’s Day with our mum and Springwood had put on an amazing day for all the residents. They had a singer on and we were all invited to go and watch the singer with our mum and sisters. We all had a lovely day and made lots of memories with our mum. A big well done to the activities coordinator
who did a great job at organising it. Our mum is so happy in her new home, we always feel very welcome when we go to see Mum and all the staff are brilliant with Mum so a big thank you to the manager and her team, you are all amazing.

My nan has lived in this care home for roughly a year now. As a family, we were so nervous and reluctant to move Nan into a care home, but as her condition progressed we had no choice. We looked around a few (some all singing all dancing, some less so) and Springwood really stood out for all the right

I could not be more pleased with the care my mum receives at Springwood.
She became a resident during the pandemic, and this has been very difficult for us as a family. The care home has supported us throughout this with kindness and empathy.
The staff go above and beyond to care for mum and make
us feel involved in Mum's care which is so important to us.
