My mum has been at Brookfield since June and has settled in well, because of the care and attention she has received. Brookfield has a homely feel and nothing is too much trouble. Staff pop in often with a smile and a kind word and all requests are delt with promptly. I think that even her health has improved since she is at Brookfield . When weather is suitable she is even taken out for a breath of fresh air.I am most grateful for the care my frail mum is receiving.
My mother came for a 3 week stay. She had a nice room and said staff were friendly and caring . Staff were always welcoming and friendly when I or my sisters visited . The room was clean and spacious .
Good personal space and plenty of choice to sit and be with others in a variety of settings, with choice of TV or not. Lovely gardens and a safe place for us to take our relative to sit outside on a sunny day.
Food quality looks good.
Open for us to visit at time of our choosing.
The staff have been so supportive in helping her settle - she has her own things around her and her room is set up exactly as she requested - all freshly decorated and with new furniture.
She still has a hearty appetite, so really appreciates the lovely food - cooked on site from fresh ingredients and tailored to the individual - no gravy she doesn't want and plenty of puddings and ice cream!
It says a great deal that so many of the staff have worked at Brookfield for years. Having a stable rota of dedicated carers that have become friends adds to the family atmosphere.
Being part of Fairmount Park means that she can enjoy the beautiful gardens on the estate and take her friends and family for lunch and activities at the Clubhouse too.
Brookfield is a special place, with special staff who really care for their special residents.
The food is all homemade with a lovely selection of meals on offer, relatives are able to join for a meal too! There is always fresh fruit in the bowl in the dining room and the tea/snack trolley goes around twice a day but snacks can be requested anytime.
Pets are welcome to visit too.
I am only rating activities a little lower as my Auntie is unable to access many of them at the moment and the time we visit and with her being in her room we do not see them
I have been very impressed by the levels of kindness and professionalism at Brookfield. My parents feel safe and well looked after. Whenever I communicate with the management they are always helpful and responsive.
My mother was in Brookfield Residential Care Home for 7 years after my father's death. The care was excellent throughout, and I cannot fault it. The family are at long distance, and my mother's stay also covered the time of the pandemic. I never had any worries about my mother being cared for at long distance. Very caring staff. End of life care was compassionate and careful. An excellent care home, which I would recommend.
My mother has been at Brookfield Residential Care Home since 2017. She has had excellent care on all levels. She was a difficult lady to please but even she was full of praise for the staff! We had complete confidence in the care and professionalism at Brookfield and are deeply grateful. Mum died peacefully on the 19th September, of "frailty of old age". She was in safe hands and had the best care possible.
Over time Mum has deteriorated but amazingly we have just celebrated her 90th birthday. Care has been adapted to keep Mum comfortable and these transitions have been managed with compassion and skill even though Mum is sometimes abusive. The staff are always kind whatever mood my mum is in making her feel cherished. Family are always welcome and cared for too.
The care team have a great partnership with the local GP Practice and take action immediatley they spot something different that may need attention. Mum has not been back to hospital since she arrived.
We are so pleased to have found somewhere so caring. Thank you everyone.
My mum has only recently gone into care and Brookfield have made the transition very easy for my mum.
Brookfield has surpassed itself in both areas to the highest standard. The staff and management are both supportive and caring, showing respect and dignity to their residents. The level of inclusion is superb, with activities and experiences that cater to the most diverse needs. Residents are seen as part of a large family and are shown a great deal of respect. A huge thank you to everyone for their care and thoughtfulness shown to all of my family.
The holistic care and compassion my mum is receiving is excellent. The staff treat her with dignity and respect. I cannot thank them enough. The support myself and my family have received has been amazing. Thank you so much, your words and actions have made my mum's life more settled and calm and given us so much support. You have made such a difference at this sensitive and upsetting time.
I needed respite care for my Mum for 3 weeks last year, I looked at Brookfield as I knew friends who had recommended it to me. After three weeks, my mum decided she wanted to stay as she felt safe and was treated with kindness and dignity. She has a lovely room and the staff treat her like their own Mum. They are professional and courteous to residents and relatives, always happy to offer refreshments and nothing is too much trouble. 18 months on, my mum is happy and I can sleep easy at night knowing she is being cared for, I sleep at night knowing she is in safe hands, thank you wonderful staff.
Mum is very happy in the home and has been there for over 4 years.
A big thank you to all the staff involved in mum's life and her care.
All the staff at Brookfield, the carers, housekeeping, catering, work really hard to look after our Mum and are always friendly, cheerful and supportive to our family too making us very welcome when we visit.
Mum has lived at Brookfield for 5 years (not an easy decision to make at the time) we brought some of her belongings from home to make her room more personal. Both mum and myself have been pleased with the quality of care provided. Staff are kind and caring taking into consideration mums feelings and dignity. Some of the staff go above and beyond their duties. I find I am kept up to date with mums health and wellbeing. Management and staff always greet you with a warm welcome. If I have had any worries or concerns there has always been a member of senior staff or management to listen. The home is clean with nice grounds and a good seating area for sunny days.
Thankfully Brookfield is the perfect choice for us. The staff are kind and patient and have been a great support to mum and me.
The home itself has a cosy homely feel and mum has customised her room with her own things.
The garden and grounds are lovely in the summer for sitting out. The staff are great at organising events and trips. 8 months on and mum is very settled and the staff and other residents feel like one big family. I would highly recommend a look!
