*Fantastic facilities > *Endless patience, caring staff* vary friendly , nothing too much trouble > very interactive. This nursing home ticks all the boxes & is my 3rd attempt to find a home for my sister sadly with Huntington's. *Very homely & great socialising events/outings! Cannot imagine anywhere
better suited for my sister's needs & quality for the remainder of her life! She appears very happy, content here!
Thank you Staveley

I have lived at Staveley for 10 years I love living here and recently had the opportunity to go to Edinburgh to see the military tattoo this trip has been on my "wish list" for a long time. I had the best weekend and can't thank the staff enough who gave up there time to take me and some of the other
residents that I live with. I am already planning my trip in 2026 to go on a cruise where the staff in the home will support me to full fill another of my dreams

I am so pleased my friend's daughter found this home. It is an excellent match for her, and she is looked after so well. It's a beautiful property, well arranged, and the staff are all attentive and warm and pleasant. And the activities are just excellent and give the residents so much fun - she
may be unable to remember going out dancing the night before, but she doesn't forget the happiness and fun. It's a lovely community. She feels happy and safe.

My daughter has lived at Staveley Birkleas for almost a year. I am really pleased with the care that she receives. All staff, (carers, cooks, cleaners, managers, ancillary staff, even the maintenance man) have taken the time to get to know her as an individual. They are her friends and they have built
fun and loving relationships with her. She is treated with respect and dignity at all times. Her days are tailored to her own personal needs and interests. Our family are encouraged to be involved in her care plan, and any niggles that crop up are always quickly sorted out. We always feel welcome and listened to.

My mum has been at Brookfield since June and has settled in well, because of the care and attention she has received. Brookfield has a homely feel and nothing is too much trouble. Staff pop in often with a smile and a kind word and all requests are delt with promptly. I think that even her health has
improved since she is at Brookfield . When weather is suitable she is even taken out for a breath of fresh air.I am most grateful for the care my frail mum is receiving.

Lovely care home. Very good facilities always clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful, very responsive to the needs of the people in their care. Has a friendly atmosphere. There are plenty of staff about when we visit and are actively involved in providing care.
Good personal space
and plenty of choice to sit and be with others in a variety of settings, with choice of TV or not. Lovely gardens and a safe place for us to take our relative to sit outside on a sunny day.
Food quality looks good.
Open for us to visit at time of our choosing.

My aunt has had her eye on Brookfield since it first opened, so when her own home became too much for her there was only one place she wanted to move to.
The staff have been so supportive in helping her settle - she has her own things around her and her room is set up exactly as she requested - all
freshly decorated and with new furniture.
She still has a hearty appetite, so really appreciates the lovely food - cooked on site from fresh ingredients and tailored to the individual - no gravy she doesn't want and plenty of puddings and ice cream!
It says a great deal that so many of the staff have worked at Brookfield for years. Having a stable rota of dedicated carers that have become friends adds to the family atmosphere.
Being part of Fairmount Park means that she can enjoy the beautiful gardens on the estate and take her friends and family for lunch and activities at the Clubhouse too.
Brookfield is a special place, with special staff who really care for their special residents.

My Auntie was discharged from the hospital to Brooklands for an assessment period before becoming a permanent resident. We couldn't be happier with the care, the staff make you feel so welcome and you can tell they really do care about every resident from their birthday tea party and cake they provide
to the meeting of health needs. The staff are knowledgable and always happy to answer questions or have a chat about your relative's care. It has a lovely home from home feel and being family run the family ethos really comes through.
The food is all homemade with a lovely selection of meals on offer, relatives are able to join for a meal too! There is always fresh fruit in the bowl in the dining room and the tea/snack trolley goes around twice a day but snacks can be requested anytime.
Pets are welcome to visit too.
I am only rating activities a little lower as my Auntie is unable to access many of them at the moment and the time we visit and with her being in her room we do not see them

My mother was in Brookfield Residential Care Home for 7 years after my father's death. The care was excellent throughout, and I cannot fault it. The family are at long distance, and my mother's stay also covered the time of the pandemic. I never had any worries about my mother being cared for at long
distance. Very caring staff. End of life care was compassionate and careful. An excellent care home, which I would recommend.

My mother has been at Brookfield Residential Care Home since 2017. She has had excellent care on all levels. She was a difficult lady to please but even she was full of praise for the staff! We had complete confidence in the care and professionalism at Brookfield and are deeply grateful. Mum died peacefully
on the 19th September, of "frailty of old age". She was in safe hands and had the best care possible.

My mother was in Currergate for around 15 months (and in another Czajka home for some 5 years before that). The team was great - getting to know my mum and her dementia foibles and then doing all they could to make her as comfortable - mentally and physically - as they could. Nothing was ever too much
trouble and every request we made was met with a positive smile and fulfilled. I couldn't have hoped for a better home for the last part of my mum's life.
I will forever remember when he announced my mum's first home was closing. He looked after everyone, the residents, the families, the finances (all current arrangements were honoured and carried forward), and also the council side. All we had to do was select a new Czajka Group home and the team did the rest. I cannot thank him enough for making what seemed like a disaster heading towards us into a smooth and easy transfer. His personal involvement, empathy, and understanding were exemplary.

Mum arrived at Brookfield from hospital towards the end of COVID and I was not able to view the home. The staff assured me they would care for Mum and she would settle in. They were true to their word and have continued for nearly three years. I knew Mum had settled when she was asking for assurance
that she didn't have to go home.
Over time Mum has deteriorated but amazingly we have just celebrated her 90th birthday. Care has been adapted to keep Mum comfortable and these transitions have been managed with compassion and skill even though Mum is sometimes abusive. The staff are always kind whatever mood my mum is in making her feel cherished. Family are always welcome and cared for too.
The care team have a great partnership with the local GP Practice and take action immediatley they spot something different that may need attention. Mum has not been back to hospital since she arrived.
We are so pleased to have found somewhere so caring. Thank you everyone.

I can not praise Currergate enough. All the staff were fantastic. My son and daughter visited Currigate when searching for a care home and were made welcome, all questions answered and shown a lovely room for my wife. The manager visited my wife in hospital and this gave her much reassurance. During
my wife’s stay, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were caring, personable and went above and beyond for my wife and for us as a family. Every staff member - management, nurses, care assistants, kitchen, cleaning and laundry staff were fantastic. My wife’s room was lovely and the food great. My wife unfortunately died and in her last days was treated with utmost respect and dignity with outstanding levels of care. The aftercare for the family was also great. We are very grateful for the care delivered to my wife from Currergate.

My mother has been a resident of Currergate for just over two years.
I find it always clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly.
More to the point my mother is treated as a friend by the carers and she is very happy and does now treat it as her home. It is a beautiful building and my mother’s
room has lovely views over trees and nearby fields which she really appreciates.
I find the management at the home are caring and go out of their way to help.
I long ago stopped worrying about my mother as she is happy and content with her life.
