I am the daughter of a resident of St Armand's.
I have always found all the staff very caring, flexible & honest, nothing is too much trouble. They are very patient and understanding of patients and of family members and always keep us informed of any changes good or bad in mums habits or behaviour
and all medical issues.
When the time comes, family members are allowed to stop at the home too to be with mum so that it is less distressing for her.
Well done to all the very hardworking people who work there, thankyou from
Anne.

My husband is being cared for in ST.Armands Court. I can't praise the staff enough. He was in a fairly bad state when he went in. Loss of weight depression. But they've brought around with there care and patience with doctor as needed. He can't walk or do anything for himself so they do everything
for him. When I visit I get a lovely welcome from staff. Some are like friends now. My husband is very happy to be there. My family and I appreciate all they do for him as we can't look after him ourselves. Kind regards and a big Thankyou. Xx

My experience with St Armands has been overwhelmingly positive. From the moment I first visited, I was welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care. The staff go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, respected, and at home.
The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and
thoughtfully designed. There's a great range of activities to keep residents engaged socially and mentally, although Mum doesn't always participate!!! I enjoy seeing what everyone has been up to on the social media page :)
What stands out for me and is the most important of all is the dedication of the carers. They take time to build real relationships with the residents, treating them with empathy just like family. Communication is excellent, and I feel well informed and involved. Mum feels safe, secure and well cared for and that is the most important thing to us.
I have peace of mind knowing Mum is in such capable, compassionate hands.
Highly recommended.

From the first day my mum arrived at St Aramands, she has been looked after and made welcome by all the staff.
As she is 92 and has had the odd health issue, I feel she has been given the best care possible.
The reason she decided to come to St Aramands was because she realised that she could no longer
ope with living on her own at home and felt a care home was the best option.
On her visit to look around, she immediately took a liking to the home.
All the staff I have met have all been friendly and helpful.
My mum has a few photos in frames that would make her room more homely , if someone could put some up for her, that would be appreciated.
Over the past few weeks, she has become less mobile, but i know work has been given to her to assist with her mobility.
Our overall impression of St Aramands, is a very friendly place with very professional and helpful staff caring for my mum the best they can, even in challenging situations.

Mum spent 18 months at St Armands Court. At the beginning, she was fairly well with the beginning of Alzheimer's disease. She was less able to cope at home and was lonely. She instantly liked the home and the staff there and was looking forward to her time there. Over the 18 months, her health deteriorated
with various health-related problems. The staff coped very well with her changing needs and were able to manage her palliative care.
The home is very clean and fresh and it shows the standard of care taken to keep it top-notch for residents and visitors.
The staff are without exception absolutely brilliant. They treat the residents with care, compassion and dignity and as members of their own family, nothing is too much bother for them. They are never too busy to chat with visitors and have a laugh, always important.
The staff behind the scenes are also very helpful, especially as the whole experience is new to the family and there are often questions that crop up.

I was apprehensive when Mum first moved into St Armands Court as was a big decision at the time.
I had no need to worry as she has settled in beautifully, the staff are so kind to her and generous with their time and support for her which she comments on from time to time. As a relative, I am always
welcomed into their environment they also support my needs while their chats with the staff are mainly humorous
dinner time especially. All I can say is that as a team they make St Armands a lovely place for the residents to engage in events they hold regularly.
Would recommend a 100% well-deserved.

Mum-in-law has now been a resident for around six weeks after deciding she felt unsafe and lonely in her own home, having fallen a few times. Her health wasn't good, and she struggled with self-care and medication.
Since she has been at St Armands, she has started to feel better, and her health has
improved.
Whenever we visit, we are met with friendly staff who make us feel welcome.
There are activities happening often, and residents seem happy to be included. As relatives, it's great to see our family members being involved. She is very sociable so needs this.
She recently went out on a group trip to a theatre production, which was a fantastic opportunity for her.
I have visited occasionally at lunchtime, and the meals look appetising and nutritious, and our family member always has a drink offered as well.
We feel reassured that our family member is well cared for and is settling in well.

As a daughter, being very involved with the care of my mum, I have always had excellent experiences of the home until the original manager left after 14 years, and also an excellent male deputy left. Then another manager was employed who also left. Tepary managers come in and also left. The home now
is being run by a temporary manager and a new manager. The change is brilliant and noticeable.

Having visited several homes this one is the least luxurious but the most caring and understanding, with the most appropriate home-cooked food for the age group of residents. The management and senior staff deserve a special mention as they are excellent. There is a higher ratio of men to women residents
than in most homes, but finding stimulating conversation is harder than you might expect which was initially a disappointment for my father. A very caring, reasonably priced (competitively) home

If I ever need a care home, my family can send me to St Armands. Staff (all staff) are available if you need to talk - no need to make an appointment. Staff and residents are like one family. The atmosphere is so homely. Food and drink are excellent. Safety and security, which are so important, are
first class. All visitors are made very welcome. It is nice that a care home does charity events to support such needy causes.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.404)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.404) out of 10 for St Armands Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.829 for St Armands Court is calculated as follows: ( (68 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.829
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.575 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Armands Court is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 8 = 0.875
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
