We could not have found a better care home for mum who has dementia. The management are so helpful. The staff are helpful and kind always smiling, nothing is any trouble for them. The food is great. There is always something going on games, drawing, Balloon throwing. 5 stars from me.

I am the daughter of a resident of St Armand's.
I have always found all the staff very caring, flexible & honest, nothing is too much trouble. They are very patient and understanding of patients and of family members and always keep us informed of any changes good or bad in mums habits or behaviour
and all medical issues.
When the time comes, family members are allowed to stop at the home too to be with mum so that it is less distressing for her.
Well done to all the very hardworking people who work there, thankyou from
Anne.

My husband is being cared for in ST.Armands Court. I can't praise the staff enough. He was in a fairly bad state when he went in. Loss of weight depression. But they've brought around with there care and patience with doctor as needed. He can't walk or do anything for himself so they do everything
for him. When I visit I get a lovely welcome from staff. Some are like friends now. My husband is very happy to be there. My family and I appreciate all they do for him as we can't look after him ourselves. Kind regards and a big Thankyou. Xx

My experience with St Armands has been overwhelmingly positive. From the moment I first visited, I was welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care. The staff go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, respected, and at home.
The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and
thoughtfully designed. There's a great range of activities to keep residents engaged socially and mentally, although Mum doesn't always participate!!! I enjoy seeing what everyone has been up to on the social media page :)
What stands out for me and is the most important of all is the dedication of the carers. They take time to build real relationships with the residents, treating them with empathy just like family. Communication is excellent, and I feel well informed and involved. Mum feels safe, secure and well cared for and that is the most important thing to us.
I have peace of mind knowing Mum is in such capable, compassionate hands.
Highly recommended.

From the first day my mum arrived at St Aramands, she has been looked after and made welcome by all the staff.
As she is 92 and has had the odd health issue, I feel she has been given the best care possible.
The reason she decided to come to St Aramands was because she realised that she could no longer
ope with living on her own at home and felt a care home was the best option.
On her visit to look around, she immediately took a liking to the home.
All the staff I have met have all been friendly and helpful.
My mum has a few photos in frames that would make her room more homely , if someone could put some up for her, that would be appreciated.
Over the past few weeks, she has become less mobile, but i know work has been given to her to assist with her mobility.
Our overall impression of St Aramands, is a very friendly place with very professional and helpful staff caring for my mum the best they can, even in challenging situations.

My mum was a resident at The Hollies for a short time throughout June 2025. We want to pass on our sincere appreciation for the excellent care mum received from all the staff and management team during her stay. All the team made it their business to make sure they understood what she needed and when,
which was extremely challenging with her health status. Her safety and comfort was always the priority. From the first contact with The Hollies Manager, to mums moving day and throughout her stay, everything was absolutely straightforward. The management team are highly responsive, professional and respectful. We can't be more thankful for the care received, both for my mum and for my dad as he experienced this major life challenge as well.
Thank you to each and everyone of The Hollies staff and broader Garforth Care Homes team.

The Hollies is a lovely 28 bed residential care home. It feels like a family home environment with it being a smaller care home. Thats definitely what I liked as it's more individualised.
They have activity coordinators who plan loads of daily activities and entertainment for the residents.
They
provide lovely home cooked meals that are cooked fresh and they use good quality products..
They have family meetings usually every 2/3 months to ask if there's anything they could be doing better or just to keep you updated on what's going on in the home.
The GP visits weekly and they have a hairdresser and a chiropodist who come regularly.
The manager is great as are the care staff. They are very approachable and accommodating. They want to hear the residents and their families/friend's opinions and are always open to any new ideas to improve an already great care home. Most importantly my mum is very happy safe and well cared for living there.

We chose The Hollies for Mum because of the way it felt. It may not be a modern, purpose-built place but the staff make it feel like home.
They are kind, personable and friendly and have the residents' best interests at heart. It is stressful placing a loved one in care but if we had to choose again,
we would choose The Hollies.

Mum spent 18 months at St Armands Court. At the beginning, she was fairly well with the beginning of Alzheimer's disease. She was less able to cope at home and was lonely. She instantly liked the home and the staff there and was looking forward to her time there. Over the 18 months, her health deteriorated
with various health-related problems. The staff coped very well with her changing needs and were able to manage her palliative care.
The home is very clean and fresh and it shows the standard of care taken to keep it top-notch for residents and visitors.
The staff are without exception absolutely brilliant. They treat the residents with care, compassion and dignity and as members of their own family, nothing is too much bother for them. They are never too busy to chat with visitors and have a laugh, always important.
The staff behind the scenes are also very helpful, especially as the whole experience is new to the family and there are often questions that crop up.

I was apprehensive when Mum first moved into St Armands Court as was a big decision at the time.
I had no need to worry as she has settled in beautifully, the staff are so kind to her and generous with their time and support for her which she comments on from time to time. As a relative, I am always
welcomed into their environment they also support my needs while their chats with the staff are mainly humorous
dinner time especially. All I can say is that as a team they make St Armands a lovely place for the residents to engage in events they hold regularly.
Would recommend a 100% well-deserved.

My dad has lived at The Hollies Garforth for nearly 5 years. He is happy and very settled. The staff are all fantastic and provide loving and holistic care. They treat each resident with dignity patience and respect.
My dad has dementia and has had ups and downs with his condition, especially in the
last 12 months requiring lots of meetings with social services.
The care home manager has been fantastic! She's been a wonderful support to me as well as a fantastic voice and advocate for my dad. I really can't thank her enough, it's truly obvious how much she cares for the residents and treats them like a member of her own family.
The home is beautiful inside and the food is amazing, my dad comments every time I visit how he enjoys it.
The home has activities every day which are good for mind stimulation but are also fun and interesting.
I feel truly comforted and assured my dad is safe and getting well looked after. Thank you to all the staff you're all amazing.
