My dad is a resident and receives a high level of care, staff to resident ratios are good, and my dad even gets to be escorted to church. He is well looked after and he enjoys the food, staff are always happy to put any suggestions into place, nothing is too much trouble for them, I was impressed from day 1 whan Aimee came to do an assessment before dads admission,
I can't recommend Hollys Care Home highly enough. The staff are consistently kind, caring, compassionate and incredibly hard-working. They go above and beyond every single day, treating every resident with dignity, respect and genuine warmth.
The management team are fantastic-always approachable, supportive and committed to providing the very best care. They not only look after their residents but also offer reassurance and support to families, which means so much.
Knowing my family member is in such safe and caring hands gives us complete peace of mind. If you're looking for a care home where your loved one will be truly cared for, Hollys Care Home is a wonderful choice. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do.
Aimee is just fantastic with helping mum and us settle in she always keeps us update with all the care plan and can call or email anytime to which her reply comes almost immediately.
Thank you all so so much
Thank you for your lovely review. I will pass your positive comments on to Aimee and the Team.
My mum has been a resident for 9 months and has always been treated with care and compassion. The Hollies encourage the residents to take part in daily activities at their own pace and capabilities. When I visit, everyone is friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble: management are always available to listen and act upon any worries or concerns about my mum's condition.
Thank you for your kind review. I will pass on to the teams at their next staff meeting.
I'm so grateful for the care my nana receives at this home. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring, and it's clear they truly want to be there. They treat residents with kindness, patience, and respect, which gives our family real peace of mind. There are always activities taking place, helping residents stay engaged, social, and happy. My nana is encouraged to join in and enjoy her days, which means a lot to us. Communication is excellent too - we're always contacted if there are any incidents or concerns, and the staff keep us well informed and reassured. It's comforting to know she's in a safe, supportive environment where her wellbeing is a priority. We're so happy with the care provided and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be truly looked after and valued every day.
Thank you Lauren for your lovely review. I'll pass your feedback on to the team.
My mother moved to the Hollies after a spell somewhere else which she did not enjoy. She is much happier now and my brother and I are 100% confident that she is in the best place for her, that she is secure, safe and well cared for. The staff are lovely, endlessly patient and very welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The management are very responsive and helpful too, the facility is spotlessly clean (I am a CQC registered manager and I know what I am looking for!) and we have seen an enormous pick up in appetite due to the excellent, home cooked catering. We are very grateful to the whole team there for the care she is receiving, which is personalised to her and the team have gone to a lot of trouble to understand her, her needs and her personality and interest - the relatively small size of the home means the staff have the time to do this. Thanks to everyone at the Hollies.
Thank you, what a glowing review! I'm so pleased you are happy with the home and have confidence in management and the staff team. I will be sure to share your comments with the team at the next staff meeting.
We could not have found a better care home for mum who has dementia. The management are so helpful. The staff are helpful and kind always smiling, nothing is any trouble for them. The food is great. There is always something going on games, drawing, Balloon throwing. 5 stars from me.
Thank you for your kind review. I will pass on to Aimee to share with the team.
Thank you to each and everyone of The Hollies staff and broader Garforth Care Homes team.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure knowing your mum for the short time she was with us at the home, and your dad is very welcome to come and say hello any time. I will pass your comments to the wider team.
They have activity coordinators who plan loads of daily activities and entertainment for the residents.
They provide lovely home cooked meals that are cooked fresh and they use good quality products..
They have family meetings usually every 2/3 months to ask if there's anything they could be doing better or just to keep you updated on what's going on in the home.
The GP visits weekly and they have a hairdresser and a chiropodist who come regularly.
The manager is great as are the care staff. They are very approachable and accommodating. They want to hear the residents and their families/friend's opinions and are always open to any new ideas to improve an already great care home. Most importantly my mum is very happy safe and well cared for living there.
Thank you for your lovely review. I will pass your comments on to the team. I'm so glad to hear your mum is happy here, and you are happy with everything we provide.
When I have had any concerns / questions they are answered quickly and efficiently.
Thank you, I'm glad your dad is happy with us.
We are so please mum is in this care home, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them to do for mum. The home is clean well looked after and lots of different activities each day. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind review. I hope your mum is settling in well and happy. I will forward your positive review to notify staff at their next meeting, they'll be so please to hear your praise.
Visiting my sister-in-law on a regular basis, the staff are always very friendly and attentive and very caring, nothing is ever too much trouble, and always on hand to attend to any needs. I've visited a few homes in the past few years and I will say the staff at The Hollies are by far the best I've come across.
Thank you for your kind review. We will be sure to pass this on to the staff team at the next staff meeting.
All the staff are super friendly and you can see they genuinely care for the residents. I was pleasantly surprised with all the activities they provided the residents for enrichment. I would definitely recommend this care home.
Thank you, for your comments. I'm glad to see you like the activity provision - we aspire to provide a wide range of activities so there is something for everyone. I'll pass your comments on for the next staff meeting.
They are kind, personable and friendly and have the residents' best interests at heart. It is stressful placing a loved one in care but if we had to choose again, we would choose The Hollies.
Thanks for your positive feedback. We're so glad your mum is settled and you feel reassured by the staff teams.
Grandma has been there seven weeks and settled in extremely well. All the staff are excellent and very attentive.
Thank you, Craig, for your feedback. Your grandma has settled in really well, and we do hope she will enjoy the ballroom dancers when they perform for us next month.
I am always made extremely welcome when I visit The Hollies, the staff are very friendly and helpful the manager and deputy are very approachable they have made some improvements in the home resulting in a caring and friendly feel around the home and the care being very person-centred.
My dad has dementia and has had ups and downs with his condition, especially in the last 12 months requiring lots of meetings with social services.
The care home manager has been fantastic! She's been a wonderful support to me as well as a fantastic voice and advocate for my dad. I really can't thank her enough, it's truly obvious how much she cares for the residents and treats them like a member of her own family.
The home is beautiful inside and the food is amazing, my dad comments every time I visit how he enjoys it.
The home has activities every day which are good for mind stimulation but are also fun and interesting.
I feel truly comforted and assured my dad is safe and getting well looked after. Thank you to all the staff you're all amazing.
Thanks for your comments, your dad is a great character and to know he (and you) are really happy with the care means a great deal. I will be sure to pass your comments on to the staff.
The manager and deputy engage with staff and residents in a really warm and positive way. The care shown to all the residents is a joy to see. Not the poshest but definitely one of the most person-centred.
Hollies is an excellent care home. My mum is very happy here. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They are caring, compassionate, friendly and welcome me and my family every time we visit. There is a lovely atmosphere and mum's room is always immaculate. The management and senior care assistants are professional, friendly and very approachable. It is a very well-managed care home with lots of fun activities arranged regularly. Never a dull moment. As a family, we couldn’t have wished for a better place for mum to be.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm so happy that your mum has settled well and you are pleased with the home. I fed back your praise from the relative review we did a few months back to the staff, and they were delighted.
Both my husband was and my uncle is very well cared for.
Thanks, Gill for your positive review - it is appreciated and I will feed it back to our staff team.

I have worked within the care industry for 29 years and am currently undertaking a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management.
I have a passion for ensuring that person centred care is delivered to all that are living within the service I am employed in, as it is their home that we are working in. I promote residents’ independence as much as possible because “if you don’t use it you lose it”., and encourage the staff to work in the same way.
I train staff in dementia care techniques, such as if a resident becomes agitated or upset at times, this is probably a distress reaction and there is normally a reason as to why that person has become distressed. We then work out, as a team, why they are distressed and what their possible triggers are. We share what works and what hasn't, to better care for our residents.
The Hollie’s is such a homely home, and I look forward to coming to work every day as each day is never the same.

Steph has worked in the Healthcare Sector for 8 years. She began working in the sector as a Care Assistant in the nursing community and fell in love with the job. Over the 8 years, she gained qualifications which allowed her to use her clinical knowledge and good practice to provide dignified care to those who were vulnerable. Steph later became a Care Home Assistant Practitioner for a large care company, before her next venture as Deputy Manager at The Hollies.
Steph's career has primarily focused on providing dignified care to those requiring palliative and nursing care. Steph's passion is ensuring loved ones remain as comfortable as possible, maintaining their dignity and providing excellent person-centred care.
