Resident for a few months, staff friendly + helpful. Meal times more staff needed to assist those who are unable to feed themselves. TV in room doesnt work - would be helpful if this did or a radio avail.
Thank you for your review and kind words regarding the staff and care, we will look into the suggestions that you have made, any other suggestions feel free to contact me and discuss these,
The support from staff regarding the transition of dad from respite to permanent care, has been exceptional. The support from staff has been great. Dad is happy in Cedars, well cared for. Cedars is ideal for him, a lovely courtyard to enjoy in the warmer months. Cedars is a quiet home with a peaceful vibe, set in lovely gardens. Some of the bedrooms would appreciate a bit of modernisation but this does not distract from the calm atmosphere and pleasant staff.
Many thanks for taking time to submit this review. We value your feedback to enable us to enhance our services. Some of our bedrooms are currently being renovated. We are pleased that you feel the transitional support was exceptional, and that your relative is settled and happy here at the Cedars.
I enjoyed it very much my stay and the staff is first class enjoy while.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and for your lovely feedback, It was a pleasure having you stay with us
Overall, the service at the Cedars is good. Just one concern is that when you call to check on a resident's condition, the phone is answered, then just put through to the 'office'. Sometimes it just rings and rings. I often put the phone down. I appreciate the great job your staff are doing, but at times it is quite frustrating.
We understand your frustration and the phone system and internet are currently being upgraded
Not seen his room.
Activities, don't know if he does any.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Your comments will be passed on to our Team. We look forwards to welcoming your Husband back.
My review is summed up in all the boxes below.

Whenever I visit my mother the staff are welcoming and it is a pleasant experience and feel assured that her needs are met and is well looked after by the staff. Staff are always willing to discuss any issues that may arise and are more than helpful. Overall a good experience.
Thanks J for taking the time to provide us with such lovely feedback, it's a pleasure providing care to your Mum
My husband had been in the good care of the staff at the Cedars for a few years and they always strive to provide good care and support with occasional events for residents and relatives to enjoy, at seasonal times such as Easter, Christmas, Bonfire night and especially Birthdays of the residents, great staff and a good situation
Thank you Anne for the great feedback, its a pleasure to provide care to your Husband and have you as part of the Cedar's family
Whilst at The Cedars, he made a number of friends amongst the staff who took the time out to make him feel wanted and cared for, Indeed when he left, they presented him with a leaving hamper for his new home - what a lovely gesture ! Fortunately, at his new home the care management facility is still being provided by Westward Care, so he will still hopefully be able to keep in touch with at least some of the staff he got to know at The Cedars and here all the gossip !
A big thank-you to everyone at The Cedars for looking after my brother so well !
Thank you for your kind comments. We are delighted to hear that you and your brother found the experience at Cedar's a positive one. Best wishes
After visiting a number of care homes we decided upon Cedars Care Home because we felt the staff here were very caring and gave us all the information we needed and this made us feel that our Mum would get the best care and attention. I dropped my Mum off here on Friday, it was a very upsetting situation for me and our family with all sorts of feelings of guilt and sadness. But she seems to have settled really well and I think that this is down to the staff here, so fingers crossed she will be happy here.
Your mum has settled very well into Cedars Care Home.
We just dropped her off and the bags were all dealt with by the staff. Very pleased by the attention to detail and how my partner was dealt with. Pleased with the caring attitude of management and staff.
Thank you for the kind words. Was a pleasure. Will pass the information on to staff.
She's 95 and she joins in with the activities she enjoys her knitting.
Lots of celebrations always going on.
Many thanks for submitting your review. We are delighted that your auntie has settled so well. I will share your comments with our staff team. If there is ever anything further we can do, please let us know! Thanks again.
My grandad has recently moved to The Cedars permanently, following a period of respite care. The care he has received is exceptional! The staff go over and above in attending to his needs, he has settled quickly and has been made to feel at home. The staff treat my grandad with the utmost respect and dignity. He seems to eat all his meals which he reports are delicious. On visiting, The Cedars always appear very clean and I am grateful my grandad has secured a place here. 10/10.
We are delighted that your grandad has settled so well and is enjoying his stay with us.
I will share your comments with our staff team - it is great to receive such positive feedback.
