Overall Experience

Problem with one senior carer. Didn't know relative was being admitted for care, so we were left outside while they made a call. Let us inside, made another call and got our relative's name wrong. Allocated a room and they took us to the wrong one. Said they thought my relative was getting an infection but failed to ring the doctor. Rang to ask what the problem was when relative was admitted to hospital. The second time they were admitted they failed to ring me to let me know and I found out from a doctor at the hospital 13 hours later. Then proceeded to ring the hospital when family member was in end of life. A catalogue of errors from someone who is a senior carer and supposedly has a duty of care to the people they look after. We as a family feel like we have been failed terribly by their incompetence. The other carers in the home were really nice and caring. But the bad experience we had with this one particular carer has totally put me off recommending the place to anyone else.
