On behalf of my family, I want to share my sincere gratitude to everyone at Ella McCambridge for the exceptional care you are giving our father. The warmth, patience, and kindness you all show him each day go far beyond what we could ever have hoped for. It is clear that your team does not simply provide care-you create a home filled with dignity, respect, laughter and genuine compassion. Setting up his room to feel just like home, even letting us bring his own bedspread and teddy bear. You listened to every detail (yes, even down to his love of HP sauce!) Knowing that my father is surrounded by such dedicated and thoughtful people brings us great comfort and peace of mind. The change in Dad has been incredible. He's happier, more alert, and constantly smiling and the way the team look after Mam when she visits, always welcoming her and making her feel cared for, means the world to us. We are truly thankful for all that you do. We would not hesitate to recommend Ella McCambridge
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful feedback. Our team at Ella McCambridge strives to create not just a place of care, but a home where every resident feels valued, respected and loved, so hearing that your father feels comfortable and happy means the world to the team. We...
My brother has been in here since Oct 2024, he has came on millions since he has been here, staff have been amazing to him, couldn't thank them enough.
Thank you so much for sharing these kind words. We are truly delighted to hear about your brother's progress since joining us. We always strive to take great pride in supporting each individual, and it means a lot to know their efforts have made a difference. We will be sure to share your feedback with the staff at Ella McCambridge
My sister has recently been admitted to this home, I had brilliant communication from them from day one, especially good for me as live 400 miles away. Just spent a few days visiting and on every visit all the staff were so friendly and caring to the residents. There were always plenty of staff available to talk to and help the residents with their needs. They really care about their residents and are so kind towards my sister and every effort is being made to help her adjust to her surroundings and her needs. My wife and I left feeling much happier about a very difficult situation for all of us.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about Ella McCambridge. Your feedback is important to us and it is good to hear that the staff have helped you all with this transition into 24 hour care. We are pleased to hear that your experience has been a positive one and we hope that your sister continues to adjust to her new surroundings. Your feedback will be shared with the staff.
When my dad first went in I felt comfortable leaving him here because the carers were lovely. I have no issues with the carers here as they dealt with my dad very well considering his challenging behaviour caused by mental health issues. I did have issues with the fact he was always covered in food and his wheelchair was always filthy, this I'll put down to them being very overworked. I do however have an issue with the management towards the end of my dad's stay there. When they decided that they did not want him there due to what they said was his medical needs, they handed this very badly. They did not inform us regarding ending his stayand also avoided contact from social services. Bear in mind I spoke to the manager minutes before he called the hospital to inform them he could not go back, he had said nothing to me. We had to hear this from the hospital he was in at the time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Ella McCambridge Care Home. We are sorry to hear that your experience towards the end of your father's stay was not a positive one. We sincerely hope that your father has settled into his new environment due to him needing a category of care...
Having both parents now in different care homes. I was worried how my dad would settle going in to a care home. How wrong I was, the staff have gone above and beyond what is expected and fully appreciate one lady who has personally taken care of the introduction to the care home. Ella McCambridge is a much higher standard of care given compared to the home my mum is in. The two carers and all the team take a personal care of the residents. Big big thanks to all the staff at Ella McCambridge who are on a different level, which give you comfort that your loved ones are well looked after. Ella McCambridge Is clean and staff have a can do attitude to support the different needs of residents. I would recommend this home over every home I have seen. Thank you to the whole team.
Many thanks for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are having such a positive experience at Ella McCambridge. We are particularly proud of our dedicated staff who go over and beyond to provide exceptional care and attention to all of our residents. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We really do appreciate this.
All rooms are clean everyday. All staff are polite and friendly. They all treat the residents very nicely and courteously.
My aunt went into Ella McCambridge during the lockdown and have found the staff really helpful with video calls and photos sent to myself. I was able to see my aunt through the window, and I know in December, the home had a bad month, but with the dedication from all staff manager to domestic staff, they pulled it around and saved a lot of service users in their home. I know the staff personally was completing tasks on all service users ie: GP, oxygen levels and temperatures, this was done every day, which probably helped all the staff detect Covid-19. It made placing my aunt into a care setting at a bad time more relaxed, and I know coming out of lockdown has been scary and properly anxious for staff, but they have completed and carried out everything to keep families and service users safe and following Government guidelines to a high standard.
My nanna is currently in this care home and has been since July 2019. I don’t have anything negative to say about the home itself or the lovely staff. My nanna is bed-bound, and due to Covid, we as a family haven’t been able to see her for a year. In that time, we were worried my nanna would lose the ability to communicate due to no visitors. We were amazed to find she looked better than ever, even with 11 almost 12-months apart from her family. This is all down to the lovely, caring staff at Ella MacCambridge. We couldn’t ask for any more from them. My nanna loves them also!
Thank you so much for your kind review; we very much appreciate your response.
I would like to thank all staff at Ella McCambridge. You have always offered the best of care to my grandad. Sadly he passed away last year and the care he was offered during his final days were the best! You have not only cared for my grandad but you also cared for my grandma when she visited making sure she was settled and happy! All the staff are friendly and approachable. We will always think of you as our friends. Thank you all.
My great uncle was placed into the care of Ella McCambridge in the summer of 2020 due to requiring extra care during the covid pandemic. The care that he received was outstanding and the family felt at ease knowing this as it was evident staff had become aware of his many ways as he was such a character. Due to covid restrictions and my aunty shielding visiting wasn't an option but staff went above and beyond by offering face time calls which really put my aunt at ease. I personally would have no hesitation in recommending the Ella McCambridge and I am sure my family feels the same.
My mam was a resident at this care home and the staff were extremely kind and caring towards my mam, especially one in particular who went out of her way to make sure my mam was always looked after in every possible way. My mam was a resident for a few years. When I went to visit her on a Monday, the staff would always make me welcome and if I had any issues they would deal with it. My mam has recently passed away so I just want to say thank you to all of the staff.
My grandad was a resident in this home for almost 5 years, I was very sceptical when the time came for my grandad to go into care, I was worried he would not receive the care and love he was given at home. I have got to say from day 1 I was proven wrong. The staff at Ella McCambridge are all amazing and I just don't think they get the recognition they deserve. Sadly my grandad passed away but the care and love he was shown really blew me away, he was treated with the utmost respect and dignity right until the end, I really hope the staff realise just how special they are.
We are so grateful for all the kindness and the high-quality care which our dear friend received during her 2 years at Ella McCambridge, and especially for the compassion and sensitivity shown to her and to us during the last few weeks of her life. Our friend was settled and content throughout her time in the home, and we had full peace of mind, knowing she was safe and well-cared for. She enjoyed the communal activities as well as the chance for quiet and privacy as needed, and she especially enjoyed the food. Staff were always cheerful, and kind and respectful towards her, and took the time to get to know and understand her well. We are grateful that our friend's wishes and care needs were always accommodated during her time at Ella McCambridge, right through to the peaceful end of her life.
I cannot fault this home. Everything is excellent. I could not wish for anything for my mother to be cared for. The management and staff are all excellent in all they do. I cannot think of a better place for my mother to spend the rest of her life. They have kept the virus from entering the home keeping everybody safe.
My mother moved here on the advice of all the health professionals after another care home was unable to cope with her behaviour due to her dementia. I believe the care she received could not have been bettered by any other home in the area regardless of location or cost. The management is first class, and the staff have been there for a long time and do an excellent job. The care home is very clean and does not have any pervading smells. The staff took her to the local shops and on days trips (prior to lockdown). I would highly recommend it.
I honestly can't thank them enough for their care towards the residents.
An absolute credit to all care homes, well done and thank you.
I was very concerned about how my friend would settle into the environment as she had been ill for sometimes in hospital, and was very distressed and confused. Within 2 weeks she had totally transformed and settled due to the utmost and dedicated care of the staff. Now she is back to herself and enjoying a new life. I was very impressed with all the staff from senior care to all levels. It has a very friendly atmosphere.
I have had no problems with this home and the staff are friendly and down to earth. My mother is a smoker and when she wants to smoke, an assistant will take her into the smoking room. This was a major factor when choosing the home, as it is now her only pleasure.
Previously my father and later mother, were cared for in this homely environment until the end of their lives.
Currently, my aunt is living here with the same care and dignity. It gives me peace of mind to know she is safe and cared about. The staff are all wonderful.
Home had a friendly atmosphere. Staff were always helpful, informative and had a cheerful and caring nature whenever we visited.
