Family-run Belmont View offers a luxurious care home experience in the historic market town of Guisborough. The home enjoys fantastic views and is conveniently located next to two doctors surgeries and a two-minute walk into the town centre.

I moved my mum 70 miles from her old care home in Doncaster. I was worried about the move. Belmont made the transistion so easy. We were able to use mums furniture too. The home is amazing. The care is fabulous after the last one. I recently had a memory from a year ago pop up, mum looks frail and unkempt.
Comparing it to today she is thriving in Belmont best decision ever! I cant praise them all enough.

From moving in to Belmont View, my wife was treated with respect and dignity by staff who took their time to get to know her. The staff were caring and compassionate towards her and always treated her according to her changing needs. As my wifes health deteriorated the care provided increased and we
were overwhelmed by the compassion shown by each and every staff member to not just my wife, but also the whole of our family.

My mother in law has recently returned from an extended respite stay at Belmont View and the care and service provided was impeccable. I asked for an extension on her stay due to having adaptions made at home for her and they was happy to accommodate. She has had three respite period's at Belmont and
each time the care staff have been friendly and very welcoming.

On most days of the week I visit my wife who is suffering with dementia. It gives me great satisfaction to witness the kindness and compassion of the staff towards the residents with a paitence that never ceases to amaze me. The question I always ask my wife is 'are you happy' the answer is always yes!
which pleases me no end! I would like to add that the staff make me feel welcomed and settle the worries about my wife, their support means a lot.

Both my parents are living in Belmont View, they were moved at very short notice which was upsetting for both them and family, all the staff have been amazing with helping to settle them both and always happy to answer our never ending questions!!! It is a lovely warm clean and caring home, they are
encouraged to join in with all the fabulous daily activities and visitors are always warmly welcomed. The wonderful staff have made a very difficult time much easier for us all.

Couldn't ask for a better place for my grandparents. It is clean, welcoming and the staff are exceptional. They are very well cared for and we are kept in constant communication. The range of activities is fantastic and there is always something going on to keep them happy. Everyone from the manager
and office staff right through to the caretaker are welcoming, kind, caring and nothing is too much trouble!

Belmont View is an excellent care home. It is a friendly place with approachable staff who are keen to ensure residents are happy and looked after to the highest standards possible. Any issues raised by family are dealt with immediately and the next of kin is informed promptly if the resident is in
need of medical attention or there have been any problems. There are a wide range of activities organised for the residents. My mother's room was spacious, nicely furnished and always very clean. The laundry was done daily and her clothes returned to her room efficiently. Every effort was made to ensure she had food and drinks she enjoyed. Visitors were always greeted by staff and made welcome.

It was very difficult to transfer the care of my dad to Belmont View but the staff were caring and understood my emotions. He felt safe and supported. On reflection, it was the right place for Dad in his last six months.

This was Mam's second stay this year. We had not had a break in four years and reached out to Belmont View for advice on respite care.
Belmont View turned out to be a home-from-home. Wonderful, caring and supportive staff. Very clean, modern decor and a welcoming atmosphere. Would not hesitate to
recommend this home. Mam is blind and the staff made such an effort in supporting her during her stay. Although Mam did not join in with activities, at her own choice, the staff ensured that she was not isolated by regularly popping in for a chat.
The home feels to be well-run, staff were available when needed and I felt that Mam was well cared for. Although Mam obviously prefers to be at home, she is happy to return to Belmont View should the need arise which I think reflects well on the home and staff.

Mum moved to Belmont View in September 2022 having lived independently in Liverpool. She quickly settled in as the staff became an extended family. They made her feel very welcome and Mum took part in the wide-ranging activities. The location of the home, in the centre of Guisborough, meant we could
go for a walk and enjoy the many cafes and eating places on offer. Food was close to Mum's heart and she enjoyed mealtimes, talking with other residents and the variety of food on offer. A hairdresser was available on site along with a dentist and the GP was next door. Housekeeping was excellent with laundry returned the same day and room cleaned. Belmont is a family-run business. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were kind and respectful. We have no hesitation in recommending Belmont View Care Home.

From start to finish my engagement with all levels of staff from management to care givers was excellent. My mum had quite extensive health issues and they took time to listen to her requirements and responded efficiently and effectively to ensure everything was in place before arrival. Although Mum
was only in for a short time she was welcomed and made comfortable in homely surroundings.

Barry & Joan Parvin

Having been purpose built as a care home, Barry & Joan Parvin established Belmont View in 2008, having successfully owned and managed our sister care home, Gracelands for 30 years, which they still do. We are confident that we can provide care and an environment which is second to none within the local area.

Hannah Parvin – Registered Manager & Director of Care


Hannah joined the family organisation as a social worker, to support and develop Gracelands Care Home.


Hannah has 5 years’ experience as a qualified adult social worker within Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. Within this role, Safeguarding was a big responsibility, submitting alerts regularly as well as carrying out meetings as a qualified safeguarding investigator. Hannah is also a qualified Best Interest Assessor and completes Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) reports. These assessments are carried out for people who lack capacity in regards to care, treatment and accommodation.


As you will discover during your stay, the management team and all the staff throughout each department are committed to providing the highest standard of personalised care. Although the surroundings may appear unfamiliar, the staff will help you to feel as comfortable as possible.

David Taylor

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2017

David started with the organisation when our sister home Gracelands reopened in 2017 as a Deputy Manager. After working closely with Hannah, David completed his registration with CQC as a registered manager for Gracelands in August 2019. David has then gone onto also complete his registration with CQC for a registered manager at Belmont View in 2022.


During this time David has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. David has also completed Level 3 and 5 NVQ in health and social care.


David is passionate about his job and the individuals that use the service. He has a great understanding of all the residents that are currently residing at the home and is able to communicate with each one on an individual and personalised basis.


David has the ability to support individuals with all aspects of their daily living in a way that respects their dignity, is non-judgmental and promotes their independence, choices and privacy. This is a key area that is important to David, which reflects individualised care and support to each individual.


Prior to working with BJP Corporation, David worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 5 years, starting as a care assistant, and progressing to Deputy Management Level.

Michelle

Michelle Allan

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2014

Michelle started Belmont View Care Home in 2014 as a Care assistant and relief senior, Michelle then went on to become and senior care assistant. After showing her dedication and working closely with other managers Michelle progressed to deputy manager.


Whilst working at Belmont View Michelle has shown that she is extremely passionate about all the residents within Belmont View and is always looking for improvements that can be made to the service for both the company and residents.


Michelle is able to create a personal bond with each resident within Belmont View to make them feel safe and to know they are always able to talk to Michelle if they have a problem.


During this time Michelle has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. Michelle has also completed Level 2 & 3 NVQ in health and social care and is currently completing her level 5.
